Rachel’s place is just a few minutes outside of Grand Marais. The location made it easy to explore Grand Portage, Grand Marais, and the Gunflint Trail. We loved the peace and natural environment surrounding the rental. Plus that view of the Big Lake! Inside the rental were all the amenities we would likely ever need! The kitchen had plenty of cooking supplies (pots, pans, coffee maker, etc). The living spaces had comfy furniture and streaming devices. We found the largest bedroom to have a comfy bed and great view. Wonderful stay!

This is our 2nd timing staying here and just like last time, we really enjoyed our stay! Perfect location for winter activities- close to snowmobiling trails. Great parking for our trailer. We really love that we can bring our dogs as well!

Always enjoy visiting Grand Marais, but this beautifully decorated, bright and airy home is the perfect place to soak in the peaceful surroundings! The inviting space has thoughtful touches of home with the amazing beauty of living plants to bring nature inside to nurture your soul! We enjoyed our visit so much and can’t wait to return!❤️

Four good friends had an absolutely fabulous time at Viewpoint. We loved just looking out at the lake, each day was different - grey and windy, beautiful sunshine and calm and a bit in between. All magical. We had fun cooking together in the very well appointed kitchen and had great fires each night. We thought we might be snowshoeing - but no snow changed our plans - hiked at Tettegouche, walked the bike trail conveniently right across the road!! Enjoyed a wonderful sauna at Sisu + Loyly in Grand Marais - highly recommend! All in all a wonderful mini retreat. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

If you love snowmobiling and are always on the lookout for fresh trails, let me put Hovland, MN, on your radar. I recently spent a weekend there with a few friends, and it was hands down one of the best riding trips I’ve had. Our Airbnb turned out to be the perfect home base, and the snowmobiling in the area? Absolutely top-notch. One thing to note—you’ll need to trailer into either Grand Marais or Grand Portage to hit the trails. While that might sound like an extra step, it’s actually a huge advantage. Both spots serve as prime trailheads, giving you direct access to an extensive network of well-groomed trails. Plus, they offer gas, restaurants, and plenty of parking, making it super convenient. And since Hovland is equidistant from both, it's less than a 20-minute drive in either direction, so you can switch things up depending on the day. We were a group of 9 adults and Jess and Paul’s place is perfect for a large group. It is very difficult to find enough sleeping spaces, so this worked out perfectly for us. The hosts are very responsive and proactively communicated with us. The property manager apartment is connected to the house, but we had our own space and there is privacy. The amenities are awesome, the sauna was TOASTY! We loved long evenings by the fire outside. Amazing access to trails - both easy and challenging. Grand Marais is just 5 minutes down the road. Overall, we had a 10/10 experience!

We loved our stay at Kathy’s so much it was hard to leave. Great accommodations and a beautiful view of the lake. Good restaurants nearby along with great cross country ski trails and hiking nearby…so many choices. We’ll be back!

What an absolutely breathtaking view, located right in the middle of everything wonderful about Grand Marais. The suite layout, just off the kitchen and main area, was wonderfully private and the light from the sunshine filled the room every day. Really quite wonderful. The hosts: These are two of the most wonderful Airbnb hosts and humans on this planet that you will ever meet. Their commitment to their tenants as hosts and good people, is incredible. We loved that the Northern Goods store was just steps away, as well as the co-op, for groceries. Java Moose knocked our socks off and prepare to be blown away by the views of Artist’s Point. Can’t wait for next time!

This was the perfect place to stay for a couple of days skiing at Lutsen. The fully stocked kitchen and gas grill on the back porch made preparing meals a breeze. The couch and recliner were very comfortable and coupled with the fireplace, it made for a warm and relaxing space after a day on the slopes. Views of the big lake from the upstairs bedroom was nice. Would love to return in the summer and make use of the screened in porch and fire pit. This was an excellent place to stay, through and through. I would definitely return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay near Lutsen.

Caribou Cove felt at home the minute we stepped in. Very clean, free of clutter and oh, so homey! Everything is so well thought out and easy. Lisa took good care of us even though she was on her own vacation. We had to use WIFI for zoom meetings (great WIFI!) but once those were done, the laptops closed and we went exploring. There is so much to do! We were honored to visit with THE Betsy Bowen at her art gallery in Grand Marais. Sivertson's Gallery never disappoints, either. There is a pair of trumpeter swans on the lake who were inspiring to watch. I plan to return here with my family next year. I highly recommend Caribou Cove but don't tell everyone - I want to get my next vacation time booked, soon! Enjoy!

Private, quiet, relaxing— exactly what we wanted. So many stars!

I LOVED my stay at Loon Lake Lodge. Andrea and Derek are super friendly and helpful, and the entire area is so beautiful and quiet. The pizza and ice cream sandwiches are a fun treat. I started every day with about an hour back and forth between the sauna and the lake, both absolutely perfect. There is a pretty good chance I'll be back next September!

Terri and Aaron’s cabin is simply a magical little spot. Super cozy! Super great hosts!

We've stayed at Wolf Track Den several times and always enjoy our time there. Comfortable bed and a very well maintained cabin. We feel right at home and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Cabin's proximity to Lake Superior is hard / impossible to beat - comfortable main cabin with smaller well appointed guest quarters. Weather was perfect - allowing for nightly fires all but one evening, with ample firewood provided. No air conditioning - though fans and airflow are sufficient to sleep in comfort. Bedding was also very comfortable providing for a good evening's rest. For skiers - Lutsen Ski Resort is only five minute drive. All of our family members were unanimous in stating; subject was one of our favorites places and we've stayed in approximately 20 properties on the North Shore. See you on the trails!

This cozy cottage is the most peaceful little hideaway from home! It has everything you need for a short trip. My fiance and I enjoyed our stay with a lake view out of every window. Nice private lot to bring your dog along. It's close to all the must-see spots and the beach across the street is worth a visit.
