Rachel’s place is just a few minutes outside of Grand Marais. The location made it easy to explore Grand Portage, Grand Marais, and the Gunflint Trail. We loved the peace and natural environment surrounding the rental. Plus that view of the Big Lake! Inside the rental were all the amenities we would likely ever need! The kitchen had plenty of cooking supplies (pots, pans, coffee maker, etc). The living spaces had comfy furniture and streaming devices. We found the largest bedroom to have a comfy bed and great view. Wonderful stay!

Four good friends had an absolutely fabulous time at Viewpoint. We loved just looking out at the lake, each day was different - grey and windy, beautiful sunshine and calm and a bit in between. All magical. We had fun cooking together in the very well appointed kitchen and had great fires each night. We thought we might be snowshoeing - but no snow changed our plans - hiked at Tettegouche, walked the bike trail conveniently right across the road!! Enjoyed a wonderful sauna at Sisu + Loyly in Grand Marais - highly recommend! All in all a wonderful mini retreat. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

If you love snowmobiling and are always on the lookout for fresh trails, let me put Hovland, MN, on your radar. I recently spent a weekend there with a few friends, and it was hands down one of the best riding trips I’ve had. Our Airbnb turned out to be the perfect home base, and the snowmobiling in the area? Absolutely top-notch. One thing to note—you’ll need to trailer into either Grand Marais or Grand Portage to hit the trails. While that might sound like an extra step, it’s actually a huge advantage. Both spots serve as prime trailheads, giving you direct access to an extensive network of well-groomed trails. Plus, they offer gas, restaurants, and plenty of parking, making it super convenient. And since Hovland is equidistant from both, it's less than a 20-minute drive in either direction, so you can switch things up depending on the day. I stayed here March 2025 hoping to see the Northern Lights since this year will be a very good year to see them. Unfortunately, the forecast changed but we are gonna definitely try here again next time at Andrews Airbnb! it was so lovely and they were so helpful and responsive. Like another review, one of our friends who was staying with us also said there was dog hair/some animal on the bedsheets, but we only stayed one night so it wasn't a problem for us. And Andrew and Summer would have fixed it for us if we insisted!! See you next time!

We loved our stay at Kathy’s so much it was hard to leave. Great accommodations and a beautiful view of the lake. Good restaurants nearby along with great cross country ski trails and hiking nearby…so many choices. We’ll be back!

We had a great few days at The Loft at Agua Norte. It was a beautiful and very clean space. It was warm and cozy and the views of Lake Superior were phenomenal. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend!

Great little apartment that felt spacious and comfortable. We went for a long weekend and it was the perfect home base for our North Shore adventures. A great kitchen and good grocery store options. A lovely deck! We highly recommend and plan to stay again.

Perfect location right downtown! The space was beautifully decorated, perfect size and layout for two couples to split. Appreciated Kelsi's proactive communication with directions and flexibility for an earlier check-in time. Definitely plan to stay here again!

What an absolutely breathtaking view, located right in the middle of everything wonderful about Grand Marais. The suite layout, just off the kitchen and main area, was wonderfully private and the light from the sunshine filled the room every day. Really quite wonderful. The hosts: These are two of the most wonderful Airbnb hosts and humans on this planet that you will ever meet. Their commitment to their tenants as hosts and good people, is incredible. We loved that the Northern Goods store was just steps away, as well as the co-op, for groceries. Java Moose knocked our socks off and prepare to be blown away by the views of Artist’s Point. Can’t wait for next time!

Stayed here for Valentine’s Day weekend and it was beautiful and perfect! So clean and so cozy and loved having the whirlpool tub as well! The views are also amazing! Thank you for a spectacular weekend!

Super convenient location to trails as we were up there to go snowmobiling. Really easy access, the host provided very detailed instructions on how to get inside and was responsive when I had a few questions come up. Would definitely go back!

Great location. Easy walk to hot tub and pool. easy access to ski run leading to Moose Mountain. Lots of wood for fireplace. kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Thanks Chris!

Two words. THE VIEW! You absolutely cannot beat it. This place is walkable to everything in downtown Grand Marais, which we absolutely loved. Very nicely decorated, clean and the king size bed was beyond comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here and we'll definitely be back. Five stars!

Had a wonderful stay, very peaceful and a great spot to enjoy the north shores. Super close to Lutsen mountain, great spot for a ski day. Pool and game room was a fun luxury to be able and get out of the condo. It was a fun winter spot (hiking in state parks that were open) but would love to try it out in the summer.
