My wife and I enjoyed our winter anniversary stay at the cabin. It was clean and cozy. We enjoyed time by the fire place, free streaming services, and the Keurig(bring bottled water for coffee). The area around the cabin was very walkable in a development with two lakes. It was close to amenities like Walmart (we had to purchase wash clothes and firewood), the interstate and food. We recommend to bring your own pillow if you like them soft. The water pressure was fine in the kitchen but low in the bathroom. Jessica was easily reached to work out any questions. If you are looking for a cozy, comfortable cabin close to everything, stay with Jessica. We would stay again.

Excellent great place has plenty of room 2 of the bedroom has private bathroom and the basement with the bar and the pool to play was great. Has a fire pit outside.

My husband and I adored this place! It was in a beautiful location that was very peaceful, which was just what we were looking for. It was a nice escape from the city where we are from. It was a very friendly community and the lake was a walk away. We were fortunate enough to be during a snowstorm and it made everything mystical and cozy. We got to stay in, cook a nice meal, watch movies and see the snow fall! The place was absolutely beautiful and everything you could imagine/hope for as a cabin in the poconos. It had absolutely everything we needed and more! The pictures don’t even do the beauty and warmth of this home justice! Magda was very welcoming, attentive to our needs, and quick with her responses. We felt at home and would love to come back and enjoy another getaway in this dreamy woodsy wonder.

Our family has stayed at Arek's house three times before this trip. The location is great. The house is at the deeper end of the lake, so you can easily swim from the shore. There are three kayaks and a rowboat to use on the lake. The deck is a great place to drink coffee in the morning and eat dinner at night. For creature comforts the beds are super comfortable and the wifi is speedy fast. We will definitely stay there again.

We were very comfortable and Wills place had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. We enjoyed the game room with our kids and appreciated the fenced yard for our dogs. There was some extreme weather (snow, ice, rain and wind) and the house was warm and well insulated! We plan to be back.

Amazing people. My children and I needed a place to stay while there was an issue at home. They were extremely accommodating and even offered to move their own stay at the home to accommodate me. If I could give 10 stars I would. Great house, great people!!! There are other homes available all over the place but not rented from people like THEM !!! If you have options… pick this one.

My family and I had a very nice time at the home which we booked in order to ski at Camelback and Shawnee Mountain. 20 min away from both locations. Javier and Mariela were great with communication. Checking in with us to make sure we were having a good time and if we needed anything. Overall great home. Clean and cozy. Thank you for a seamless experience.

Maggie was the best host! She was super responsive and accommodating. She made sure we made it to the property safely and without any problems. Any time I had a question she was very quick to respond. We loved this house and it was perfect for our bigger group for a weekend trip!

This Airbnb was lovely! We had a great time. If you have a bigger group, you should bring your own paper goods as the Airbnb did not provide enough for a few nights. No big deal, but we wish we knew that before arriving. I recommend staying here- it is a beautiful location and the Airbnb is as expected!

Louise was responsive, thorough, and very friendly from start to finish. She sent out local things to do and everything was clear.

Kristen's place is BEAUTIFUL. We had three families stay across 4 bedrooms and we loved every second of our stay. The place is private and has a lot of privacy - there are a lot of things to do in the house and outside the house (I wished and would love to come back during during a warmer weather to enjoy everything that the house can offer)!

Perfect spot for our snowboarding/ski weekend. Close to the mountain, lake, restaurants..we appreciate Dinesh and this awesome house!

The house is BEAUTIFUL! Katie is super helpful and communicative. We had the maximum of 13 people in the Airbnb and everyone slept comfortably. The beds are AMAZING. The house is so spacious and comfortable. Both check-in and check-out were super simple. Katie was super welcoming, leaving little welcome gifts. There is SO MUCH to do within the Airbnb itself if you wanted to have a day in. We had an issue with a pipe leaking when the dishwasher was started but Katie sent a plumber out SAME DAY to fix it as soon as I advised her of the issue. I would recommend this Airbnb to everyone I know. We had an amazing weekend here.

A perfect spot to enjoy the fall leaves! This home is surrounded by trees and a short walk to a gorgeous lake! We also appreciated the recommendations Dennis sent of places to visit. "The Knob Lookout" was among our favorites! Clean, modern home with lots of space. And a quiet relaxing setting! And Dennis was great to work with. Thankyou - We highly recommend!

Great host and overall great place. If you are a light sleeper, you should consider something besides the 1st floor main bedroom as the bed creaks significantly just from normal turning. Be sure to realize you need to bring your own linens or rent them (this was a bit surprising and disappointing). But Ricky did have a discount code for the rental place. Ricky was proactive, guided us well and was very accommodating. The hot tub was a great addition and kids loved it. The spacious kitchen with the outside deck and bbq was perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my family and made so many wonderful memories. House is cozy and has everything you need for a peaceful winter getaway in Jim Thorpe. We liked that it was in a private area that was very quiet, but a quick drive to downtown Jim Thorpe and lots of other activities. Would stay here again!

We accidently left a pair of car keys behind. Brad was super helpful in locating them and getting them back to us! A great trip at a beautiful location, with awesome owners. I wish you could give more than 5 stars!

The house was nice we stayed over new years and It was a nice place together as a group. Each room has its own A/C system and controls, slightly outdated in that regard but allows more customization in that regard. House had no problems staying heated. A large communal space makes it great for larger groups. An older house but that somewhat adds to the retreat experience at the lake and surrounding attractions. I would stay here again. HOA had a lot of rules regarding use of the lake, but as it was winter that didn't affect our stay. Great communication from the host. They have a nicely prepared book of local attractions and places to eat. Thanks for the great stay!

This was our second stay at The Golden Owl and it has become our favorite spot in the Poconos. Great location for winter and summer holidays, super cozy and clean home, and plenty of space for the kids and adults to hang comfortably. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Michelle and Sean's lake house! For this trip to the Poconos, I wanted to get away but still feel “at home”—and that’s exactly how we felt. We usually stay at resorts, but this time we chose peace and quiet. We’ve stayed in other Airbnbs that were great, but felt like nicer hotels. This truly felt like borrowing a friend’s lake house. It’s clear Michelle and Sean use this home to unwind and are generously sharing that comfort. My husband and I stayed with our three kids (14, 12, and 10), and we had everything we needed—and more! We never once heard “I’m bored.” Aside from a nearby horseback ride, we stayed at the house all weekend—grilling, relaxing by the lake, hanging on the deck, playing yard games, reading in the hammock, and soaking in the hot tub. I wanted a peaceful getaway for my 40th birthday, and the hosts left a balloon, flowers, and a gift—so sweet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

To be totally transparent, the images for the space listed does it no justice. The house was so beautiful and accommodated my big family of 17. The teens loved that they had their own space and the adults loved that although we were all in the same house, we didn’t hear the teens or barely saw them. That’s how big the house is! You’re surrounded by a beautiful scenery and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll spot a few deers walking around. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is in the summer. We are already discussing coming back for the summer. Thank you so much for everything George and Sarah!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Paul and Lorraine were great hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The house itself and the location are beautiful!

One of my favorite places to spend Thanksgiving with my family. The place was AMAZING and what a view. Everything was a 10 plus. I would definitely come back during the summer.
