Such a lovely place to stay, so peaceful and even better in the sun ( which we luckily had). We had such a relaxing stay and the beds were like a dream. Would definitely recommend this place for a break. It was so nice to see little rabbits running around and even better to have a little friend 🐱welcoming us in😊 Would stay here again. Thank you 😊😊

Excellent hosts home made cake lovely welcome pack was very nice touch even put candles on the cake and decorated for my birthday very helpful with local places to visit and eat rose barn was immaculate we felt right at home don’t essitate to book it’s stunning stay thankyou again

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at High Swinside. Diana was an amazing host and went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her cottages.

Jerry was a very responsive host lots of information. You also get a app to use which is very helpful with clear instructions on how to access the property useful information with apps and gadgets and also local restaurants and shops the cottage itself was beautiful amazing views hot tub was fantastic beautiful surroundings very private would very highly recommend and will most definitely be staying again and a big thank you to Jeff for being an amazing host. I’m very helpful.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They even provided local recommendations that made our trip unforgettable! The location was perfect—close to everything, yet peaceful and relaxing. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the little extras (like fresh coffee and cozy blankets) made it feel like a luxury getaway. I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

First time using an air B & B, wow I hope they are all like this. The communication from the host was friendly and quick responding. Really helpful with recommendations for local area. When arriving at the cottage, we had a very warm welcome from Helen, the cottage was absolutely stunning, spotless, warm and cosy. Helen was an amazing host and took time to share her love of horses to my wife and daughters. My wife can’t wait to return.

Absolutely loved our anniversary stay at Crumble Cottage. Was everything we needed for relaxation and more On check in, Stewart was on hand and gave us an overview of the place, surroundings and suggested great places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is approx 15min walk into the centre of Cartmel - with great places to eat and drink there We visited the Wolf Predator experience by Grange-over-Sands - it was amazing!! Really enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the tranquility- Will definitely be back again! Thanks for having us (Heidi & Craig) ☺️

The cottage was beautiful, perfect for our family weekend away The surrounding area is stunning with some amazing walks, pubs/food within walking distance. There was some confusion over parking which was resolved, there is a bay big enough for a couple of cars. Thank you Lynn

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

Joan was such a wonderful host! The house was spotless and cozy, and she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She even kept the fire going while we were out, which made coming back feel warm and welcoming. On top of that, she gave us fantastic recommendations for local spots to visit—we ended up seeing some great places we wouldn't have known about otherwise. Highly recommend staying here!

Wow! 4 of us stayed here this weekend, and it was amazing, the photos don’t do the room size justice, the log burner was a great touch and so lovely for young adults to sit down and enjoy it. Walkable from every shop and easy walks near by. Great communication. Couldn’t fault our stay.

Perfect accommodation for a lovely 2 night break. Beautiful scenic location. Traditional homely countryside cottage. Pub next door served excellent, quality food. Definitely recommend this place for a stay!
