Lovely place to stay. Nice to have a phone call to confirm our booking. Lovely hosts. Food at the restaurant was amazing. Bit noisy at until 11:30-12 pm as the pub is still open and people were outside. Bedside tables were sticky from glasses from previous guests.

Only negative is that we couldn't stay for longer! We stayed in the Garden room for 1 night at the end of our trip to the Lakes but will definitely be returning when we're back in the area. Beautiful and quiet surroundings, perfect for our springer spaniel - the dog blankets were extra helpful to have! Thanks again 😊

Everything was great from beginning to end. Martian helped with the parking, was super friendly and helpful with deals and offers in the surrounding areas. Great place and the breakfast/service is awesome, super tasty and plentiful!

This is a brilliant location for all major attractions. You cannot fault the cleanliness that Freddie provides and he is very helpful and accommodating. He made the effort to ensure we were all on the same floor (our party was 8 adults and 7 kids) which we appreciated. It ain’t The Ritz, but it doesn’t set out to be

We had a lovely stay! The room was clean and just what we needed, the pub was a lovely country pub with good food!

Pretty good location. Everything is just perfect considering the price, except the room is bit of cold, remember to bring warm clothes!

Excellent lodging in a lovely pub with a great selection of food and beers etc. Quiet location a couple of miles from Appleby centre. Highly recommended.

Great communication from the start, all queries were answered very promptly. Property was lovely and clean, we only stayed for the one night but it was exactly what we needed, facilities available to cook a breakfast butty before check out... all good for 3 bad heads!! Highly recommend

Bulls Close Cottage is an outstanding place to stay.The quality was exceptional and the space tranquil and relaxing . Samantha has thought of everything-it was a perfect cottage -bigger than we were expecting -the photos don’t do it justice ! The garden is delightful and a joy to stroll around .The welcome gifts were a lovely surprise and much appreciated . So refreshing to stay in a property of such a high standard and to feel instantly at home as soon as we arrived. A very big thank you Samantha for the warmth and welcome you offer your guests in your beautiful cottage .

This is a magical little place, perfect for a peaceful and romantic getaway. The hosts are amazing and the place, scenery and views are to die for. James and Ruth kindly let me and all the other people that were here for the film festival stay on the last day of the festival so that we can finish the last movie and have late check out. Incredible experience living at this place!

We absolutely loved our stay here for a family weekend with the kids. So homely and clean, with lovely views straight into the water. Great selection of children’s games and everything you could need during your stay. Would love to return in summer for the water sports! Kimberley was so helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay, it had all the home comforts required, well equipped kitchen. Great location for Knott End and was peaceful. Lovely goodies to enjoy. Victoria was very friendly when we met her and felt we could ask anything. Well done Victoria.

We had a great stay at Box Tree Escapes! The lodge was a perfect base camp for the Yorkshire Three Peaks, with the starting point being only a 20 min drive away. After our mammoth hike, the hot tub was a real life dream. It was even companied with a spectacular view of the milky way at night! It would have been even better if the lodge had body wash to compliment the fantastic showers! We would definitely come again.

This was a very nice place for my boyfriend and I to stay while visiting the Lakes for the weekend, we especially liked watching the birds in the morning at the bird feeders outside before heading off for our walks. It’s a lovely, peaceful place and we would definitely stay again. Thank you!

What a glorious weekend we had in the beautiful seaside town of Seascale. We booked this stay as it was super convenient for us to travel the 20 or so minutes in the car to do the Scafell Pike climb. The studio has everything you’d ever need and more with the beautiful little touches. After a long busy day exploring out and about, it was exactly what we needed to wind down and feel at home away from home. Would recommend it to anyone, and would love to stay again next time. Host was proactive with communication and shared a helpful guide with local recommendations one of which we thoroughly enjoyed - watching the sunset from the Calder House hotel with a pint in hand, followed up with chippy back at the studio! Perfect for any couples wanting somewhere comfortable to stay with a doggo, ours absolutely loved it and the flat felt genuinely clean and tidy. Thank you!
