Had a great stay with some lovely walks down to the river, the hot tub was a hit.

From the moment we step foot on the property the place was phenomenal, quiet setting, very private. We have stayed a lot of places and this place was one of the best ones we've ever stayed at Michelle was a great host. I tried to get them to move out of their own home, but I think they're going to stay there for a while. It's a very quiet magical place "dreamy like" don't even need to leave. If you like places that are off the beaten path, with tranquility and beauty this is the place. Like no other. We are type A people .The heart shaped bread was a nice touch. I forgot to take it with us. Didn't have time to eat it, but it shows you how much these people care. Lots of love and attention was given to this place.

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

Great property - the architecture of the living room area was something else. The kitchen and pantry were extremely well stocked with a variety of condiments and utensils. The nespresso coffee was also of a good quality. The location is a 10 minutes drive from the town. There were a couple of minor confusions in terms of the facilities (heating, sound system etc.) but they were resolved promptly. There is an amazing park right next to the house which is great for toddlers. The jacuzzi is also amazing! Overall - a superb find.

We enjoyed two weekend stays before and after tackling the Milford track. The Cabin was perfect for us – we loved the elevated location which provides really great views of the lake while central Queenstown is readily accessible. One implication is that surrounding streets are steep. The first weekend we relied on the Orbus bus service which is frequent, fast and amazing value. We also walked into town and ran a couple of Strava routes along the lake foreshore and foothills. For the second weekend we hired a car, which gave us the flexibility to visit Mora Wines for breakfast, get in a last day hike (the Moonlight track from Arthurs Point), and make several trips to conveniently collocated supermarkets on Gorge Road (FreshChoice for staples and the more upmarket Raeward Fresh for salads and BBQ fare). We made great use of the BBQ, and the laundry facilities, given our activity! As a host, Melanie was helpful and responsive, and kindly allowed us to store luggage while on the track.

I had a hard time getting in touch with the host at the Airbnb I stayed at just before arriving here. David sent me a confirmation email before my arrival and explained the user manual in detail, so I was happy when I got to this place. David made us feel welcome and did his best to resolve any minor issues we encountered. I was really impressed. I was really happy during the 5 days I stayed here. I sat on the balcony, drank coffee, drank wine, and watched the sun set. All this scenery felt unreal, like a dream. It was fully equipped with all the necessities of living. I could feel how much David took care of his house. I was also very grateful for the welcome gift he gave us. I will visit Queenstown again and I want to stay here at that time. It's the most beautiful memory I've ever taken from New Zealand.

Amazing house, amazing hosts, cool animals which you can feed! Setting is absolutely stunning, close enough to Queenstown but remote enough to feel the serene landscape, amazing night sky's too. Hosts went above and beyond and did everything with a smile. Great spot!!

Stylish accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Within easy reach of town and close to shopping mall. Plenty of activities to choose from nearby. Friendly hosts and lovely place! Highly recommended.
