The bungalows are very beautiful. Their design is well thought out and everything is kept up very nicely. The shower was perfect with hot water available always. The bathroom had beautiful murals by local artists. The beds were very comfortable. There was even tea and coffee for us in our own room which we did not find in most of our stays. The gardens were pristine. The exotic animal views were the best we had in all of Costa Rica. We were in bungalow #4 from where we got the absolute best show of over a dozen capuchin monkeys playing and rough housing for almost an hour in the evening. It was the best ending to a magical Costa Rican vacation. Leandro the host and Roger were always very kind, friendly, and welcoming. Roger even welcomed us with delicious fresh baby coconuts to drink when we arrived! A beautiful welcome we only received here. We hope to return someday and HIGHLY recommend Bungalows Ache! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eine wunderschöne und einzigartige Unterkunft inmitten der Natur! Das Zimmer bietet sehr viel Platz und einen direkten Blick ins Grüne. Die Küche ist mit grundlegenden Utensilien ausgestattet - sogar eine kleine Tiefkühltruhe ist vorhanden. Restaurants und schöne Strände gut erreichbar, aber da die Unterkunft auf einem Hügel ein wenig abseits des Zentrums liegt, empfiehlt es sich daher einen Roller, ATV oder Auto zu mieten.

For our second trip to Puerto Viejo, we chose to stay at Geckoes Lodge again and couldn’t be happier! We first stayed nine years ago, and the property is even better now. The lush gardens offer beautiful scenery and great privacy, while the location is perfect—peaceful yet close to restaurants and beaches. A true hidden gem!

A cabana de Álvaro é pequena mas bastante confortável, limpa e com uma cozinha bem equipada. Choveu muito e fez frio quando chegamos, mas havia um aquecedor que funcionou muito bem. Fica em um local com acesso em menos de 30min ao Vulcão Poás. Álvaro foi super atencioso e até nos levou alguns itens às 6h30 da manhã que nos faltavam para fazer o café da manhã.

I cannot possibly describe how incredibly beautiful and lovely my stay was. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while nothing else can compare. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Most importantly Wilfredy and his family are phenomenal, kind and loving people. Wilfredy’s father William showed me around town, made me delicious meals, coffee every morning. He is a kind and thoughtful person who wants to make your stay magical. I not only found a lovely place to stay but a life long friend. Wilfredy’s sister Kimberly and her wonderful family were lovely as well and we had an incredible time on the coffee tour. If you are looking to get a local experience, this place is unmatched. Two things to note, I would recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle as the roads to and from can be difficult to traverse at times. Make sure you are a comfortable driver. Lastly, you will encounter wildlife and insects there. It is unavoidable, keep that in mind. Will be back. Pura Vida!

José fut un hôte joyeux et très sympathique. Ses animaux de compagnies ont donné un réel plus à notre séjour. Sa chienne Luna et piggy pie fut nos amies que nous avons réellement adoré ; surtout notre garçon! Le logement de José était très bien équipé à environ 15 minutes de marche des épiceries et restaurants, mais c'est préférable de prendre la voiture. La piscine fut un must vu qu'il fait chaud à Tamarindo. Les décorations, les arbres, les fleurs, les singes hurleurs, les lézards et les poules ont rendu notre séjour inoubliables. Nous avions en masse de place dans le logement ; nous sommes une famille de trois. Si je reviens à Tamarindo, je vais assurément revenir chez José. Je recommande fortement ce logement! Merci beaucoup!!

This was just what we wanted & we had the good fortune to stay 7 days at this casita. The place was very clean, with a comfortable bed, nice linens, and good WiFi. As mentioned, Monday the gardener comes, so it can be a bit noisy, so go to the beach that day. The rest of the week it was usually very quiet. There are various trails cut into the jungle, which impressed me a lot. There is a lot of work in maintaining these trails, which even had a few benches for a rest. The pool is very nice, the gardens are beautiful! You will hear howler monkeys & if lucky they will hang out in the massive banyan tree above the casita. There are 2 casitas which are quite close to each other. Part of the deck is shared, but there is a private area for each casita, as well. The hot water is only in the shower, so you will have to boil water to wash dishes. No big deal. We met Louie & his dogs, & had a few good chats. Caroline was very helpful when I asked questions. Very lovely staff.

Eine Unterkunft in traumhafter Lage. Luisa war sehr freundlich hat all unser Bedürfnise erfüllt. Sie war immer gut erreichbar und hat schnell geantwortet. Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt.. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!!!

Je recommande vivement ce logement, il était parfait ! Idéalement situé à 2 minutes de la plage à pieds, pas très loin de puerto viejo et des lieux d’intérêts tels que Cahuita ou punta uva. De nombreux restaurants sympathiques se situaient aux aleantours du logement, notamment le restaurant de Tacos à l’entrée de la rue. Le logement était très propre, conforme à la description et l’hôte était très réactif.

La pasamos super bien, es muy tranquilo, muy aseado, muy cómodo y Mauricio me atendió genial por Wap, contesta muy rápido y siempre está atento!

Sebas es el mejor host que he tenido hasta ahora. No solo es amable y servicial para atender cualquier consulta, sino que es de esas personas que va más allá de lo que le pedis o necesitas, con mucha calidad humana y servicio. Con respecto a las instalaciones, son tal como se describen y muestran en las fotos, con vistas increíbles y la posibilidad de conectar con la naturaleza. Las cataratas le dan un plus. Definitivamente es un lugar al que quiero volver!

The cabin was super clean and very well equipped, all the kitchen utensils were new and working well. It was a proper little home. I was by myself but I can imagine a family staying there with the beach so close (not much shade though…). Don Luis was super friendly and helpful. Many thanks to him too!

What a beautiful piece of paradise! It was so nice to open a bottle of wine and watch the sunset- it just kept getting better and better! Super comfy bed, beautiful location and clean space. They provided the number for local taxi drivers who were amazing!

This place was perfect for a single or couple. It's residential, but surrounded by jungle. A nice Long walk to beach.. The only complaint was no hot water for showers, but that is typical here, and the well water us not potable, so bring lots of bottled water.

What an amazing place to stay! Jeffry was great at communicating and the Haus was immaculate. Amazing super large bed, comfy mattress and amazing views into the garden. Visits from agoutis, mot mots and woodpeckers were a highlight. The stove and marshmallows were a lovely treat too. Such a wonderful experience - go there!!

Beautiful stay! It’s a peaceful cabin on a farm, you wake up to toucans and red macaws in the tree right outside your patio. Hubert offers a chocolate tour, night walk and Costa Rica cooking class right on the premises. I can highly recommend them! The farm is family owned and used for personal usage and the sons have built the cabins on the premise which they now use as income stream. Super nice family, wonderful experience! It’s a bit far out of town, no restaurants in walking distance. So you depend on Uber (about 2000 COL one way) or your own car.

We love this tiny house! First, it’s beautiful, clean, and very comfy. We were surprised that the house is bigger than we thought from the photos. It’s set away from the road in a landscaped area with many orchids and other tropical plants with two small creeks on both sides. It’s quiet and private yet walkable to a grocery and bakery. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking, the bathroom is clean and lovely, the shower hot and with good pressure. The beds are super comfy as are the linens. This beautiful spot was a real treat for us!! And the hosts are responsive and super friendly. We highly recommend!!

I noticed this Airbnb 3 years ago and it was the reason that encouraged me to visit Costa Rica. After seeing this Airbnb unit the first time I knew I made no mistake visiting this beautiful part of the world. The unit is Rustic and more functional and desirable than I have expected. Surrounded with natural greenery, singing birds, and friendly neighbors. The drive to it was intimidating at first impression. But it added to the charm as a I got off the beaten pass. It lead lead me onto the Guiones Sur sandy beach. Then into a hidden rural dirt road which guided me into the my 3 night stay… I wish I could have stayed longer. If you stay here you must experience the sun setting down. Walk out to the beach approximately 4:30pm and wait for to the sun to set over the Pacific Ocean horizon… it’s magical. I shall return. Pura Vida!

The place is just like the picture. If you want to get away from all the noise in La fortune this is your spot and it’s a short drive there.

Peaceful, luxurious stay in the heart of tamarindo. Lu’s place is exactly what we needed and was a treat to stay at. Roughly 10 minute walk into town but was nice to be set back from the noise of the downtown. Very nice place to come back to and relax by the garden and in the pool after a hot day in town. Would definitely recommend to others.

Es war wirklich sehr schön, mitten im Wald auf einer Kaffe Farm mit maximaler Privatsphäre. Wir haben ein Feuer gemacht und Würstchen am Stock gegrillt. Es hat der ganzen Familie gefallen.

Absolutely breathtaking!! Thank you for providing the most beautiful abode tucked inside the jungle. This place truly embodies the Pura Vida life of which is Costa Rica. This home is built within, and among its surroundings. It’s almost as if it grew out of the foliage. We rented a quad of which helped us to get to places such as the grocery store for a larger shop. But if only on foot, you can walk anywhere you need to. We cooked all of our meals with the exception of a few lunches at home. This place had everything you need to both cook and store leftovers. Everything single thing was well thought out within this space. My boyfriend and I went down for surf, yoga and soul restoration trip and this place served as a major part of the restoration for us! This place has a fully equipped kitchen, all up to date appliances. It is incredibly peaceful throughout the entire day! When we return next year, we will definitely being staying here! Excelente atención, muy buena ubicación y todo impecable. Cerca de las playas y el centro de Uvita. Super recomendado! La propiedad muy bien mantenida y todo super limpio y agradable.

José is the man great stay. He made us feel right at home. Super nice. The property is next level. The view is probably the best view that you will get of the capital at your time i Costa Rica. I highly recommend this stay!!
