I loved staying at Febbie’s place! I was lucky enough that it was available for me for almost an entire week. The birds singing every morning was a highlight along with Febbie gifting me eggs from her chickens! Febbie’s space has everything you need - even for longer stays. And it’s close to supermarkets and the nearby village of Hillsborough, where there is a lovely forest with walking paths, great restaurants and bakeries. Close enough to Belfast for me while also being equally close to county down. Perfect location for all of Northern Ireland.

Alexandra has a beautiful home in the heart of Hillsborough. It’s perfectly located, and easy to get to. The house itself was so well set up for large families. The kids had their own playroom with ample toys, and the top room was perfect for a family of four to stay in. It’s spacious, sociable and really did tick all the boxes we knew we needed as well as some we didn’t know would be of benefit! Alexandra is an excellent host, and we, like many people in her guest book, will be booking again in the future.

This is one of the best places I have been to, me and my partner went away for a stay and it was worth every penny. John is a great host and very responsive, friendly and helpful, the location was perfect with great scenery and lots to do. The house was perfect, very spacious and the games room and the hot tub were brilliant. I would highly recommend John’s place for a great stay.

Second time staying at Barbara’s place and it was excellent as before. This time we stayed during storm Eowyn and Barbara and her husband were kind enough to deliver emergency supplies in the event we lost power. Thankfully we didn’t need the supplies, but it shows the type of host she is. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had a great stay at Marina House. It had everything we needed for our short visit and a perfect location for travelling around Northern Ireland. The kids play area just outside was fantastic and the local coffee shops and bars welcoming, especially for an end of day pint and a game of darts! Jenn was very helpful and replied to our queries promptly. Would visit again.

We arrived late after a very long day & Alastair had reassured us all would be sitting waiting with easy key access. Upon opening the front door, The house was lovely and warm with lovely ambient lighting on in the living room to welcome us. Perfect little extra details like the fire set ready to be lit with matches just on the mantle, cheese & crackers & a choice of teas. Such a quaint historic house with all mod cons and my favourite- a gorgeous bath to soak in & look out into the Hillsborough lake. The bedroom had great storage & a lovely comfortable bed. Pulled back the curtains the next morning to the most incredible view of the lake- complete with swans gliding past!! This was literally a picture postcard moment! Right in the centre of the historic village of Royal Hillsborough with walks, historic pubs & fabulous restaurants. A true haven and a lovely warm host. We will be back as soon as we can.🥰

Caroline and Damian were great hosts. They put in a lot of effort to create the accommodation and the experience that comes with it. They were very warm and happy to assist with any requests. We enjoyed our weekend away and look forward to returning.

Lovely spacious apartment, ideal for a group. Bars and restaurants within short walking distance. Host was very friendly and accommodating for our arrival, would absolutely recommend staying here for a visit to Carlingford!

Liam's place was pretty close to town centre and was flexible with our check in times. Very responsive and we felt so comfortable being there :)

More than enough space for the 3 of us. Very cosy and clean. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time. The cottage is beautiful. Also very convenient. Killyleagh is a lovely village. We would definitely recommend a stay at Ivy Cottage.

Lovely long weekend stay in Joanna’s cottage - super cosy, beautiful surroundings. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to play, and great that it was dog friendly too. Joanna was a great host - clear communication & quick replies.

Turtle Cottage was a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Our family all gathered there for a weekend and it had everything we needed. The traditional interior was lovely and even better than the photos. It really felt like we were staying in a home, which we appreciated. The trails around the house were magical and you are right on the water for exploring local wildlife so although the area is quiet there is so much to do, as well as everything for tennis, water activities and dvds inside the house. We loved it. Thank you for having us Tara!

Riverside cottage was so perfect in every way from the warm welcome from Alan to the lovely treats. The cottage is fab, it’s beautifully decorated, the hot tub is a great touch, we had a memorable stay and will definitely return again soon 🤩

Beautiful space and surroundings! The house was very clean and comfortable. Fiona met us to walk us through the heating and any other functions, and she was incredibly responsive! We loved getting to see the cows right outside our window and that the lake was just 10-15 minute walk away. There are some cute places in town and the neighboring towns of Monaghan and Carrickmacross are very close by too, only a 15-20 minute drive or bus ride. Highly recommend walking around the lake and taking the path by the river.
