This place was absolutely perfect. Lovely location in a quiet village less than 10 minutes to Durham. It was clean, spacious, and Tom made sure we had everything available, even adding a nice touch of Prosecco and milk. Check in was easy and Tom was quick with communication. Would definitely recommend and we would certainly come back. Thanks Tom!

Beautifully appointed house ideally situated for walking into Barnard Castle. Extremely clean and comfortably furnished. We were a family of 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. Plenty of space for everyone, with an extra tv room on the ground floor, ideal for kids film time whilst the adults enjoyed some down time. Highly recommend a stay here, Peter's an extremely good host and the chocolate brownies that were left for us were delicious! Barnard Castle and area is a lovely place to explore...

We had a wonderful stay at Clearwater cottage. It’s a beautiful place to sit and watch the river from the window, so peaceful. The property is well furnished and has everything we needed and more. The host was there at all times to recommend local restaurants and anything else we needed. We look forward to visiting again

Ellen’s place is ideal location - we travelled down for sky diving and a trip to Durham both a great distance from the Airbnb. Ellen was friendly and proactive and the space is clean and cosy - very homely. Definitely recommend.

The house was in tip-top condition and very well equipped. The heating was on when we arrived (much appreciated) and the accommodation was comfortable and exceptionally clean. It was nice to be able to arrange to arrive a bit early (about an hour) and the same on leaving. Gary and Judith were really helpful when we needed a bit more information and we really enjoyed our stay. we would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for, peace & quiet, remote but plenty to see and do in the surrounding area

Beautiful house with lovely decorations/ extra touches such as candles, cosy blankets etc. The log burner made the house feel cosy and there was plenty of logs provided. The kitchen/dining area was very well equiped with plenty of plates etc. There were also lots of extras provided such as washing up liquid, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The only thing we needed to buy was some dishwasher tablets. The bathroom was probably the one area that wasn't 5 star as the hot tap handle kept falling off. The shower was also very noisy and leaked so this could only be used when everyone was awake (if you have any older members in your party they will probably need to use the ensuite shower as the shower in the bathroom is over the bathtub which has very high sides so is tricky to get in/ out of). Overall a beautiful house in a tranquil setting. Thank you.

We had a lovely time. It was like a home from home. Emma couldn't do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of enticing cafes and restaurants in Bishop Auckland.

A lovely place to stay for our weekend when attending a wedding at nearby Middleton Lodge, which is only a two minutes drive away. This is a beautiful and peaceful retreat, yet only a mile or so from the A1 and with lots of idyllic villages to visit in the surrounding areas. The property was exactly as listed and as shown in the photos. Thoughtfully decorated and well equipped, much larger than the average two person property and lovely to have sheep and chickens passing by the living room windows. Having a log burner to use was an added bonus. Fiona's communication was excellent from start to finish, with clear instructions and directions. Would definitely recommend Fiona's property to anyone visiting this part of the country. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer!

What a gem of a place! Perfect for a long weekend in Durham and we definitely hope to return. Lisa sorted parking permits for us and changed our booking dates - she couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The place was clean and warm, with some lovely treats to welcome us in. Recommend without hesitation.

It felt like home from home . Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay there . We will definitely stay here again should we visit Seaham in the future

Excellently located property with walkable restaurants (pub style and Italian across the road). On street parking available and short drive to country parks and Durham and Newcastle city centers only 30mins by car. Plenty to do in the area, although we chose location a to visit family over Xmas period. Highly recommend as the apartment as it had plenty of space and was finished to a high standard. Would love to stay again.
