Staying with our family at Catherine’s cottage was an ideal location while visiting Galway. We were close to the city but yet far enough away to enjoy peace and solitude. The cottage resides on a sprawling estate with beautiful gardens and is part of historical ruins that have been restored. It’s a fascinating place and had our family of six intrigued by its beauty and history. The cottage has all amenities close by and the host Marshall was sweet and helpful with any questions about the area we had and in assisting us when we arrived. We are so glad we stayed here for such a unique and enjoyable experience. Thank you!

When you walk into this beautifully decorated house, you will feel right at home. Carola has thought of everything you could possibly need or want. We cooked breakfast every morning in the kitchen which was stocked better than most people’s homes. Perfect, quiet location between Galway and Cliffs of Moher. We loved going to the pubs in Kinvarra and hanging out with the locals during a music session.

Folan’s Cottage ist wirklich ein Juwel. Die atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Meer den ganzen Tag ist einfach nur gigantisch. Unsere Kinder haben, trotz der kühlen Temperaturen, die Füße ins Wasser gehalten – mit leuchtenden Augen und viel Gekreische. Besonders süß fanden wir die kleinen Strandläufer-Vögel, die geschäftig am Ufer entlanghuschten. Das Haus verbindet traditionellen Charme mit modernem Komfort. Die großzügige Küche mit der Kochinsel wurde schnell zum Dreh- und Angelpunkt, wo wir gemeinsam gekocht und gelacht haben. Abends haben wir uns gemütlich am Kamin zusammengesetzt und Karten gespielt. Die Abgeschiedenheit des Ortes war genau das, was wir gesucht haben, um mal richtig abzuschalten. Ein echtes Highlight war die Begegnung mit den Connemara-Ponys, die entspannt vor dem Haus grasten – dieser Anblick bleibt uns sicher lange in Erinnerung. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und hoffen, bald wiederzukommen. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Gastgeber für diese unvergessliche Zeit!

We had a great new years stay in Lizzie’s. The place was very clean and cosy and we made great use of the lovely open fire place. The setting is absolutely stunning with beautiful sea views out the back and gorgeous views from the bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked for a big group and plenty of seating areas and chairs for all. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a lovely countryside stay away from the madness!

The cottage is perfect for a countryside stay. The surrounding landscape is utterly beautiful and offers a wealth of walking opportunities. We were warm and cozy and enjoyed a couple of picturesque sunsets and the views toward the lough. The home has everything we needed for cooking, outdoor grilling, and relaxing. William greeted us in person to be sure we were settled and his recommendation for a hill walk was another highlight of our stay. Already planning a return trip!

Absolutely beautiful cottage, perfect for our family of 5. Perfect jump off point to explore, though we wouldn’t have been completely upset had we been rained in. The cottage was very well done.

This cottage is even nicer than it looks in photos. We loved coming back here after days out exploring, lighting the stove and reading and relaxing. The cottage is really nicely laid out with everything you could need. The views are amazing and there are beach walks close by. Rebecca was excellent in communicating with us at all times. We didn't want to leave and hope to return soon!

We've only stayed at the Henhouse for a couple of nights, but we wish we could have stayed longer. Sean was very kind and welcoming and we enjoyed our breakfast with the sourdough bread and the marmalade his wife made. Definitely recommended

Loved our time at this cottage. The home was very homey and comfortable for our family of 8. Lots of toys, books and games for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked and a great kitchen table where we could all hang out. Loved the fireplace in the living room- made for some cozy nights. Thanks for sharing your home. We had a lovely stay!

The perfect place to stay when exploring Doolin and surroundings. Super clean, spacious and bright. Comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. Feeling so relaxed after our stay!

The check-in was as simple as it could possibly have been. The place was exactly as advertised, then some! There were no issues while we were staying here and the place was perfectly located for visiting Roscommon. We used this place to explore the surrounding countryside, taking day trips to Galway, Clifton, Castlebar, Limerick, and Roscrea. It was the perfect location for these as it only took a couple of hours to get to each one, and we were back by 8:30-9pm each day. The bed was comfortable and slept well, and the surroundings were peaceful. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely book again if it is available.

My wife and I can’t say enough about Fiona and her hospitality! This was easily our best accommodation while visiting Ireland. Not only was the space immaculate, but Fiona was extremely flexible with check in and was quick to reply to questions. Her responses were thorough and clear. We would HIGHLY recommend staying with Fiona if you are visiting Ireland, and Galway City.

Anne was a great host and the property was perfect. Spotless clean and a stunning view. Highly recommend.

The place was very lovely. Peaceful and quiet for my wife and our baby. We even were lucky enough to get to see the sheep and lambs up close on our exit. Patricia was very helpful.

Spacious house for a big group. Good place to start your trip though Connemara/ Galway

We’ve just spent 5 fantastic days staying with John & Maura. We are a family of 4, two young girls 6-3yo. The property was ideal for us, kitchen had everything we needed and a nice court yard to eat outside in the evening. There’s a games room that we spent time in each night and played basketball on the tennis court which we loved doing. We did loads in the time we were here, travelling by car is easy and accessible. (Gills pub locally, made us feel at home for a few Guinness and bet on the horses) Isle of Arran and bike hire is a must Salthill beach and swimming baths are great Corofin Gaa was a great recommendation by the owners if you want to watch some local sport Galway was lively, loads of live music and good food. (Magpie is worth the queue) And lastly mini the dog, my daughters wanted to bring her home….just rub her belly. Thanks for great trip, we’ll be back. Michael Heather Ada Nina

Very enjoyable short stay here on Inis Mor for 4 nights, what an adventure! House had all amenities, and very comfortable and clean. We couldn't fault it! Bernie had left very clear instructions on how to check in and check out which made everything so easy. She also gave us plenty of recommendations of things to do on the island to keep us busy. Would love to come back again some day soon!

This unique stay will be an absolute highlight for anyone exploring Ireland’s west coast. Allow time to visit Clarinbridge’s local antique shop, indulge in a quality coffee and stunning treat at Le Petit Delice, take the local walk, and sample the fresh oysters at Paddy Burke’s Bar- the best I’ve ever eaten! We booked the cottage to visit Galway City but honestly, our highlights were the treasures that the cottage and local village offered us. Don’t hesitate- book this experience for yourself!

I cannot say enough about the peaceful location of Rhona’s house. It was truly magical. The view is stunning, the area is quiet, the birds singing in the morning accompanied by an occasional bleeting sheep in the distance was invigorating. The home was spacious and filled with sunlight. A place I would definitely return to and highly recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing stay. When we arrived, the fire was already burning, and the table was set—it felt truly majestic walking into the castle at that moment. There are countless details to discover, and when you see the pictures of how the castle looked in the 1970s, you can’t help but admire the incredible work the owners have done. A huge thank you to Annemarie and Christopher for making this possible! Besides the owners, we also want to mention Geraldine and Tina. Geraldine, a friend of the owners, gave us a warm welcome, and everything was perfectly prepared. She is a charming person and a great help if you need recommendations for the area. Tina is the go-to person for catering—her food is absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend reaching out to her if you don’t feel like cooking. All in all, this place is truly unique and highly recommended. If you see it available, don’t hesitate to book—it’s an experience you won’t regret!

Beautiful cottage in a magnificent setting! Helpful information on getting around and favorite things to do. A neighbor told us we found a real gem because it’s the only Airbnb on the island and the island is a significant piece of Irish history (and absolutely gorgeous).

Absolutely stunning cottage, if we had done nothing else but stayed here for a week we would have been perfectly content. This is a beautifully restored cottage, very spacious and incredibly cozy. The hosts are incredibly thoughtful and have provided more than everything you could need for a comfortable stay. From the moment you enter, the air smells fresh and the place feels like a warm hug. Easy access to Doolin and the beautiful Cliffs of Moher. Hope to stay here again one day!
