Excellent location, peaceful, quiet, lots of ready off road parking. Very clean and comfortable with a large kitchen, everything you need to make meals and enjoy the peace. A lovely place and we had a fab time. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Lovely views and so peaceful. House was perfect for us - clean and well equipped. The area is so beautiful, with great walks and beaches nearby. Excellent food at Sweet Nothings and at local pubs. Michael was extremely friendly and helpful. Hope to be back.

We had a wonderful stay on board the Wild Atlantic Bus for a special birthday. It was perfect. We loved the design, decor and the attention to detail. We had everything we needed, including some gorgeous home made bread, butter and jam. The outdoor shower was refreshing. We all slept really well in the very comfortable beds. And what a view to wake up to!!!!!! Richard was really helpful in giving advice about the area even before we left home. He gave us all the instructions we needed for a comfortable and unique stay. We didn't want to leave when it was time to go. This was a really special and unique family experience for us and we are really glad we stayed there.

An incredible location for a fantastic getaway. This beautiful house did not disappoint, from its private surroundings, it's stunning design and luxurious feel. It was everything and more we could have possibly asked for. The host went to great length to help us out and gave us a warm welcome on arrival. We couldn't be more thankful and would love to return in the future.

So many AirBNB experiences are just kinda normal these days...there is nothing normal about this place. Leave some time to enjoy the walking paths around the place...deeply beautiful and special spot, and we weren't even there in the nice time of year!

Finlough House was even better than described and pictured. It’s truly the perfect escape to the Irish countryside. The house was fully equipped with absolutely everything you would need on your stay and it was so warm and cozy which made it hard to leave. We were a party of three and we had more than enough space to each feel like we had our own piece of the house. The location was also perfect as you got a remote escape with easy driving distance to top notch attractions (Kylemore Abbey & Croagh Patrick) and quaint towns such as Leenane and Louisburgh. The house and location were perfect, but the icing on the cake was the host Margaret. She was extremely communicative, helpful and a pure delight. She even went the extra mile to stop by and check in on how it was going for us! I can’t recommend Finlough House enough and I definitely plan to return. Thank you, Margaret!

We had a lovely stay. The house by the lake side is simply wonderful and Sorcha was a kind, warm and very helpful host. There is plenty to see and do at a short driving distance from the accommodation. This place is a gem !

We had a lovely couple of nights staying at Shirley’s. The bed was so comfortable and the place was immaculate and very well stocked! Shirley had baked us some lovely bread as a welcome, which was so kind of her and there was loads of info on the area. The view of the Burren from the bedroom window is gorgeous, especially around sunset.

Hanleys Marina is a beautiful location which is ideal for exploring both Longford and Roscommon. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and had everything you would need. The host was very helpful and responsive! I would definitely recommend.

Three nights is this lovely village. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen with easy parking right outside the apartment. Cheers to friendly John Burkes pub with live music 7pm each night and good food too! Enjoyed hiking woodlands to Guinness tower and Ashford castle in Cong.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Nora’s Cottage. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Nora ist sehr hilfsbereit und war immer für uns da. Es war toll in Mitten der Schafe zu wohnen, weit ab der Stadt. Um zum Haus zu gelangen geht es einige Hundert Meter auf einer unbefestigten Straße hoch, das hat uns aber nicht gestört. Einen Telefonempfang gibt es am Haus nicht, das WLAN funktioniert sehr gut. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

We had most amazing days at the cottage. The location is stunning with great access to the pier and activities. The cottage the spacious and has everything one needs including for a family like us. Would definitely come again and highly recommend! Thanks Deirdre !

La maison est à quelques minutes de voiture de Clifden. Mary communique toutes les informations nécessaires pour le trouver. C’est un logement magnifique qui est situé en pleine nature. Un beau lac est à proximité et visible depuis la maison. Il est bien équipé et très spacieux. On peut faire facilement de la cuisine pour tous les repas. Les chambres sont spacieuses et dotées d’une salle de bain chacune. Mary a été très attentionnée à notre arrivée et durant le reste de notre séjour. Elles nous a donnés beaucoup d’informations utiles sur les commerces aux alentours. Nous recommandons ce logement parce qu’il a répondu à nos besoins (famille de 4 personnes) On recommande pour sa proximité de nombreux sites touristiques comme kylemore, le parc du Connemara ou la Skyroad. Pour finir, nous recommandons aussi pour la bonne entente avec notre hôte. Ce fut une bonne expérience qui donne envie de revenir. Merci

Unser Urlaub im Cottage 431 war wunderschön. Wir waren als Freundeskreis dort und haben die Ruhe direkt am See, die grüne Umgebung und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten im Westen Irlands genossen. Der naheliegende Ort ist mit Auto in wenigen Minuten erreicht, auch zu Fuß in circa 15 Minuten, was aber nicht zu empfehlen ist, weil es keine Fußweg außerhalb des Ortes gibt, die Straßen sehr eng und nicht beleuchtet sind und die Autos sehr schnell fahren. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und gemütliche Pubs sind ebenfalls im Ort. Im Haus gab es alles, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht, wir haben nichts vermisst. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

What a charming place! We loved staying here.

Incredible setting and a very comfortable place. Loved the wood stove and the kitchen was perfect for cooking meals. We used the cottage as a launchpad for a hike on Diamond Hill and a day trip to Inish Mor. We slept like babies! Wished we’d stayed longer! Host was very responsive and helpful.

The accommodation was exactly as described and in a beautiful location. It felt very remote but is only 15 mins from the coast and supermarkets in Clifden. The two extra rooms in outbuildings worked well for us as 5 adults, and there was plenty of room around the kitchen table for meals and games. The sitting room in the cottage is very cosy and only had enough room for 4 people to sit comfortably which wouldn't be ideal if you were a group of 8. That said, there are other sofas elsewhere - in the kitchen and studio. Overall, a unique property in a wonderful location which I would definitely recommend.

We’ve been traveling Europe for 6 months, and this was our all-time favorite stay! We got to spend Christmas at the cottage, and Pat and Mary made us feel right at home. We were greeted with scones and fires and Christmas decorations, and both Pat and Mary went out of their way to look after us and provide wonderful, local recommendations. We enjoyed visiting them at their bookshop-cafe and getting to know them throughout our stay. The cottage is incredibly cozy - comfortable beds and couches with two, large fireplaces - and the location itself was ideal. The kitchen is very well-supplied, and the showers were always warm. We could get into Galway city easily, or head deeper into Connemara to explore the Irish landscapes. Oughterard is a lovely town, and it had great restaurants and grocery shops and (of course) the bookshop-cafe! Highly recommend!
