Beautiful cottage, cute & cosy. Felt right at home! Super relaxing, and so handy that we could pop next door for a pint.

Absolutely lovely place, spacious and cozy. Minnie was really helpful and the house was so homey that we were sad we didn't stay longer. Already talking about coming back, I can't recommend it enough.

Jackie’s house is stunning It is also credibly well equipped, really spacious and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The view is stunning. Jackie herself is incredibly helpful, calm and relaxed as a host. Overall, I couldn’t recommend the entire experience highly enough.

I can't recommend this place enough! Paul is a wonderful host—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Staying on his farm feels like stepping into another world, offering a truly unique experience. Right outside your window, you'll see alpacas roaming, and you can pet and feed them at your own pace. The farm is in a peaceful, quiet area, making it the perfect retreat if you're looking for a slower pace. Plus, there’s plenty to explore nearby—a short drive takes you to a beautiful trail leading to a waterfall. Paul’s cottage is also very child-friendly. The alpacas are gentle and friendly, and even my small Yorkie felt comfortable around them. With plenty of space for kids to run and play, this place is ideal for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We will definitely be back again.

i had a great time there only 2 nights i did regret to not stay longer. the alpacas was lovely, such a peaceful place. hope to come back one day...

Our stay at Danny's place was fab! The house was lovely, has the old charm rustic vibes just what I love, it was warm and inviting, it had every conceivable item and more! And spotlessly clean. It was a home away from home. The area is so quiet and peaceful but yet only 10km from mountrath village where you can find what you need and within 20 mins there's the busy town of portlaoise. Kathy is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, she was so accommodating I can't thank her enough for everything she did to make our stay so comfortable.. We are organizing our next stay!

My family had a lovely stay for the night. It was a great house for families with kids in a beautiful area.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour (2 nuits) chez Elizabeth. Le logement est très accueillant et agréable. Elizabeth nous à conseillés pour un Irish Breakfast : C'était parfait! Arrivée facile, communication impeccable. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement. Petit bémol : La chambre côté route est un peu bruyante avec le passage des voitures, mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de dormir ;-)

We had a wonderful stay at Christina's cottage. It was a great base to explore the surrounding area ....11/2 hours from Dublin airport and approx 2 hours to the Cliff of Moher and endless quaint villages in between . Kinnitty is a great area for walking and biking and we found an awesome golf course ( Esker Hills) not far away. Christina is a wonderful host , gives you lots of useful information and we really appreciated finding some milk and yummy cake on arrival after a long days travel. Thank you Christina for your hospitality and I hope we get to meet one day .

The ONLY downside to our girl's weekend was that we hadn't booked a longer trip! From the first moment dealing with Margaret until we closed the door behind us the break was absolutely perfect. The property is simply breathtakingly beautiful but, more than that, it has a wonderfully relaxing aura to it. We loved cooking and hanging out in the large open plan kitchen/dining room, there were a selection of spaces to choose from for our meditation and yoga practices then cosy sitting areas to chill and chat in the evening. Margaret had kindly left a hamper for our arrival as well as clear instructions about the house plus tourist information for around the locality... but we simply didn't want to leave! Cannot recommend this place highly enough and we're already planning a return trip. Well done Margaret on creating such a welcoming space x
