Booking was a breeze. Contacted the hosts beforehand and they were extremely helpful in narrowing down a date and a check-in time. When we arrived, Dermot was there to greet us and showed us to our place of stay. He made sure that we felt welcomed and if we needed anything at all, not to be afraid to give him a shout. Dermot helped us with organising a take-away and also with setting up the fire and heater. Area was beautiful and peaceful with stunning views of the Ox Mountains range. The barn was far bigger than I expected, with lots of room and everything you could need. Overall, was a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it.

I booked the place wanting to stay in the Ox Mountain area as my grandmother loved to glance at the Ox Mountain in north direction as she lived south of Moy River. It was first trip for my best friend, so it was spectacular place to be especially time of the year with all of these fresh snow and experience what it was like to live with turf fireplace. I am humbled by all of this experiences and beautiful surroundings. Dermot and Monica were thoughtful and friendly hosts. Their recommendations on places to visit and where to eat were spot on! You cannot beat the spa fees - affordable price! It is good for anyone who wants to be off the grid from phones/technology and be in tuned with the nature, animals and people.

We had brilliant couple of days staying at Mary's place in March. The location on Lough Conn was stunning and the accommodation was excellent in every way. Mary was a very welcoming, helpful and responsive host and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. This is definitely a place we would like to revisit in the future. Top class!

Collanmore Island Lodge is unreal, couldn't recommend it more! We had the best stag weekend ever here and Ciaran is a absolute gent. Getting to the island is easy and exciting, beds are comfy and facilities are top notch. Ideal for big family gatherings or any type of West of Ireland getaway. I will be back again for sure, thank you Ciaran and your great team.

We had a family break March 2025. 12 family members, the accommodation was perfect for us. Great kitchen/dining room for socialising/eating. Never felt on top of each other 6 of the bedrooms had en-suite shower room and there was also a downstairs cloakroom off of the main hall. All of the 5 double bedrooms downstairs had en-suites and one of the double bedrooms upstairs. We all loved coming back 'home' after a day out. Great outside facilities, plently of logs for the sauna, hot tub. Excvellent views. Beautiful stary skies on clear nights with zero light polution! Will be staying again, already planning our 2026 stay! Marian was extremely responsive both before and duting our stay, as was the local caretaker who responded almost immediatley to a maintenance request we had during our stay

My brother and myself were paying a visit to relatives who live in the area..we found Sheila’s air B&B to be very accommodating..very homely ..warm ..private ..as my brother described it to being like “ home from home “.accommodation was very clean and well equipped .We could not find fault at all . We met Sheila before departing and had a lovely friendly chat and discovered she knew our relatives . We would definitely use this accommodation again if it met our requirement dates .

This is our second stay at Patricias house. The house is really spacious, clean and well maintained with lots of rooms for family activities. The surroundings are really quiet and peaceful but only a few minutes drive to a few lively areas with good pubs and restaurants. Lots to do in the house and garden, the bikes are an added bonus. We have always found Patricia to be very friendly and helpful, a fantastic host. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage, would highly recommend this place! The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped and Gerard was fabulous, kind host to ourselves and our two dogs.

We had a great stay in a stunning location with amazing views, very pet friendly with a big garden for our dogs to run around in. Teresa was a brilliant host, very accommodating with a lot of useful information provided. Could not recommend this place enough.

Cannot recommend enough the place. Beautiful cottage near Ballina, ideal to explore surroundings. Place is quiet and private and house is very spacious. There is also a fireplace which makes it extra cozy if you go around winter or cold months. I will definitely save the place in my favorites so I can come back!

We were so happy with our stay , Mary’s adding of home comforts like a bookcase of books , a home made cake and electric blankets on the beds made for a lovely cosy place to relax and unwind.

Another fantastic stay for 12 of us in this fantastic house with loads of space for adults, teenagers and younger children. Such an amazing location, close to beaches and the most beautiful walks . We’ll be back and I would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in this area, or anyone who does not know the area but wants a break in a beautiful rural house, easily shared with friends or other families.

Brilliant stay at Elaine’s house. She was extremely responsive and helpful and a great host. The house itself is absolutely stunning close to pubs and restaurants with a beautiful view of the water. The pictures don’t actually do the house justice. Perfect for a family trip away would highly recommend and would love to visit again in the future thanks Elaine!

We had an amazing stay at this cozy house! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. The house was beautifully furnished, warm, and inviting, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook meals, and the thoughtful touches like board games and DVDs added to the homely atmosphere. The garden was a lovely bonus—a perfect spot to relax with a coffee in the morning or unwind in the evening. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and just as described. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely love to return. Highly recommended!

Perfect for a group get away and ideally located!

La maison est à quelques minutes de voiture de Clifden. Mary communique toutes les informations nécessaires pour le trouver. C’est un logement magnifique qui est situé en pleine nature. Un beau lac est à proximité et visible depuis la maison. Il est bien équipé et très spacieux. On peut faire facilement de la cuisine pour tous les repas. Les chambres sont spacieuses et dotées d’une salle de bain chacune. Mary a été très attentionnée à notre arrivée et durant le reste de notre séjour. Elles nous a donnés beaucoup d’informations utiles sur les commerces aux alentours. Nous recommandons ce logement parce qu’il a répondu à nos besoins (famille de 4 personnes) On recommande pour sa proximité de nombreux sites touristiques comme kylemore, le parc du Connemara ou la Skyroad. Pour finir, nous recommandons aussi pour la bonne entente avec notre hôte. Ce fut une bonne expérience qui donne envie de revenir. Merci

Super séjour. La maison est extrêmement chaleureuse; on s'y sent bien de suite. Magnifique vue sur la mer depuis le salon et la cuisine; nous avons même pu observer des dauphins nageant dans la mer depuis les fenêtres. La maison est bien équipée et joliment décorée. A proximité des principales attraction du connemara nous recommandons ce logement.

Had a wonderful stay. Great host. Beautiful house so deceptive there was so much space. Lovely pub next door. Peaceful and Quiet. We will be back.

A very spacious and comfortable apartment with a gorgeous view, sheep included. Close to town but feels like countryside. Town is a pretty 20 minute walk away. Regina is a devoted though not intrusive hostess, with lots of good suggestions for places to visit. Nearby Westport has natty shops and fine food. Try Hotel Wyatt — try their magnificent mussels. The region is a seafood haven.
