We spent a great time in Castle's house that is spacious, well equipped, clean and in a very good location. For parking in front of the house you have to pay but there was free parking facility in the neighbourhood, First we had some difficulties making things work in the house (water, heating) because it is a bit complicated but figured it out after all. Castle was always available and reacted quickly whenever we had any issue. Perfect place for 7 people, I recommend and would return.

Amazing ! We had a lovely stay , extremely dog friendly , comfortable and cosy and had everything that we needed and wanted .

Perfect, we really loved our stay. Fantastic host, perfect house, room, kitchen, and bathroom all in top order, with lovely views of Lake. If in the area again could really see us staying here again.

Margaret was great and very informative. She was clear about the room and amenities. She helped me figure our the lock on the front door which was very different from what I am used to. She was patient and always kind. Great experience.

lovely house at the end of an estate with trees and nature surrounding the back and side garden and shrubbery in the front giving it a secluded feel. nice warm, spacious and well furnished house to relax in. Thanks Shane

If you are looking for a great jumping off location to what Ireland has to offer in the southwest of the country, look no further than Gort na gCappall. You are nestled in some of the most peaceful, beautiful part of the countryside. The house is as described and hugs you with comfort, security and warmth. Our host is indeed a Super-host and went out of the way to make sure we had what we needed.

We had a lovely stay at Audrey’s house, every thing was as expected, very clean and spacious,outlook to front through the glass sliding doors looked out across to the park . We were met by Paul who showed us around and said we were to contact him if there were any problems of which were none, we have been going to Mountshannon for 26yrs now, it is a lovely wee village and the people are so friendly, we will definitely be back

A lovely place to stay and very spacious and comfortable. You can get to a huge network of forest park trails without having to go through the town. It is extremely close to the water, and main attractions such as the castle, abbey grounds, and workhouse. Everything was expected and the kitchen was really well stocked with basics and necessary cooking utensils. 100 percent would book again.

Lovely quaint yet spacious cottage, bathroom upstairs and downstairs which was ideal. Host was extremely accommodating. Place was beautifully decorated and had lots of lovely and functional touches, eg turf for fire, blanks on sofa, some board games and fresh eggs! The whole family enjoyed it and was a very refreshing stay! We actually enjoyed the stay so much, we're considering coming back again (maybe even making it a yearly thing) .
