This was exactly what I was looking for in my vacation. It was a restful, private location in the middle of the woods, so I had some peaceful time in the wilds to get some writing done, but was still close enough to town to visit friends and do touristy things. It was easy to find, easily accessible, and a beautiful getaway. The hosts were amazing- proactively offering tips for RV living and were super responsive to any questions I had. I'd highly recommend this if you're looking for somewhere private, with beautiful misty mornings and ocean views.

We had a fantastic stay - right on the ocean with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The jacuzzi overlooking the water was enjoyed by all. The kitchen is spectacular with everything you could need and the living area is very nice. The full wall of glass windows and sliders with the wrap-around deck was great. The heated floors were an unexpected, but welcome surprise!

Had a great stay at Daughin’s place for a fishing trip. Would def return!

My partner and I were looking for a quiet getaway for our holiday and James' place was perfect. From inside the home, all you can see is water and nature. It was very peaceful and quiet, and we had everything we needed inside the home for cooking and relaxing. The surrounding town has a few great restaurants and the Pub is walkable from the home. James was a very gracious host and even took us for a boat ride around the Bay. We loved our stay and would definitely return. Thanks James! -Tiff and Luca

This was one of the best stays in our lives. The place, the views, the feelings was something out of ordinary. We loved the place from the very first moment we found it on the Internet and loved it even more when we arrived there. I would definitely recommend this place and would really like to go back there as soon as we plan another vacation.

Gramma Rikki has a beautiful home nestled privately in the trees. She has simply thought of everything to make the house accommodating from providing games to having the kitchen stocked with spices and other cooking amenities. The home was even more vast in person than in photos and was cozy and inviting. We hope to come back again when the weather is warmer to enjoy all the property has to offer. Perfect vacation home for bigger families!

We had a lovely time staying in Tammy’s home. It was really clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. She is very responsive and we were able to check in a bit early on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the water from the patio. We would definitely stay here again! The resort has a tennis court, lots of grills, one campfire pit, dock for crabbing or boats, beach for clamming. The property is very well kept. Thanks again Tammy for such a lovely stay!

Pat's place is awesome. We, a family of four - two adults and two kids (one is at teen age and another one is younger), spent a great long weekend there. Bright, cozy condo with great view from almost any window. It fits all of us, has a nice kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heated pool with a hot tub, which we and kids enjoyed, just downstairs. The Bay is very good for paddle boarding. We did twice over our stay. If tide is low, you can reach a tiny island where you can find lots of purple and orange sea stars, crabs, and oysters. Ladysmith and Nanaimo suggest great dinner options. Nanaimo also has a nice walkable Marina merging into Maffeo Sutton park. If you like hikes, we tried Extension Ridge Trail hike near Nanaimo and can strongly recommend it to anyone. Malahat Tower is a fun place to visit, just one hour of driving from "Inn of the Sea" resort, we've been there, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay again at Pat's place.

The view was absolutely amazing and the room was nice and cozy.

The unit was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was extremely comfortable for three people with a well-appointed kitchen, large dining area, private patio and a lovely view of the water. We enjoyed using the Inn of the Sea's pool, hot tub, and communal barbecues, and watching the sun come up with our coffees down on the dock. Thank you, Genevieve, for sharing your beautiful place with us - we'll be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn of the Sea! Debbie's suite was beautifully furnished and decorated, the bed and sofas were comfy, and we loved the loft style architecture of the townhouse with skylights and tall ceilings. The partial oceanview was also lovely. We enjoyed the amenities offered, like the communal hotub and BBQs (but a set of BBQ metal tongs or flipper weren't found within the suite unfortunately). The only minor con was noticing the outdoor spaces (main and smaller decks) weren't cleaned; the leaves and dirt should've been swept and the tabletop needed wiping too. Once my husband cleaned it, the deck was more inviting and enjoyable. Overall it was a nice place to stay, with lots to explore between Nanaimo and Ladysmith.

We had a wonderful stay! Had everything we were looking for -- waterfront location and set up well for children. The location and windows looking out onto the bay, islands, Straight of Georgia and across to Mt. Baker were what we loved most. Saw a lot of wildlife. Steps down to the water were nice too. House was otherwise set up well and as described. Highly recommend this location.

This was such a lovely guest house to stay in. It was safe, cosy and comfortable with everything you could need. Check in was very straightforward, the hosts did an excellent job of adding photos and clear instructions which was very helpful. It’s located right on a very quiet and peaceful beach and quiet street. The hosts were so helpful and accommodating, I would highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back again.

This is the place to stay on Salt Spring!! Absolutely stunning views through both French doors and the spacious deck. Gary was so helpful in allowing my partner and I to check in early. He helped us bring our bags down and get settled into our room. The room was spotless and had everything we needed including a kitchen and living room area. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, it was a dream. The hot-tub was a treat after a rainy and chilly day! They even had robes for the two of us so we wouldn’t freeze heading in and out of the hot tub. Gary made us breakfast in the morning served on the deck overlooking the harbour. The scone was phenomenal and the omelette was probably the best one I’ve ever had. Truly was a wonderful stay on Salt Spring and will be coming back!! Highly recommend!!

We’re from Vancouver, where life is always busy, and we were really looking for a peaceful escape. Mason’s house turned out to be the perfect getaway. The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking view—right on the beach, surrounded by nature, with a spacious property and peaceful, respectful neighbors. The house itself is spotless, beautifully maintained, and feels like new. It’s fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. The two main bedrooms each have a king-size bed with incredibly comfortable memory foam mattresses—so relaxing. The third bedroom has a cozy bunk bed, perfect for smaller kids. The town is quiet and charming, with such friendly and welcoming people. It has a calm, laid-back vibe that makes you instantly feel at ease. There are two restaurants nearby and a well-stocked grocery store, Nesters, just a short drive away. We left feeling rested and grateful. Highly recommended to visit .

We truly loved our stay at Andrea's place, The Sassy Sitka. It's a beautiful, understated and alive little place that's very comfortable (great beds, very clean, great kitchen, spa bathroom) with a simple yet tasteful aesthetic and 180 degree views. We had everything we needed and we enjoyed it more and more every day we were there. We saw a seal, a swan, bald eagles, varieties of ducks and shorebirds, seagulls, and more. I treasured being able to wake up in the morning and sit and watch the activity on the water while having my cup of tea. The yard is lovely and we loved sitting having a fire outside in the firepit overlooking the ocean cosied up on the outdoor blankets. Andrea was responsive when we had questions and also gave us space. We used the Sassy Sitka as a jumping off point for trips out to the beaches towards Port Renfrew as well as our trips into Victoria. It was amazing to come back to the beauty and quiet at the end of the day. Thanks so much Andrea!

Wonderful place for a big group to stay. 4 rooms with queen beds, each room has its own bathroom, and there’s even a common bathroom in the common area. Very clean and nice place.

This place is a gem. Looking over the water, watching the seals and birds was so peaceful. The house is very well equipped and beautifully done. Can’t say enough about this place. Enjoy!
