This was our second stay at Mile 77. Lisa was an amazing host and all the extras were amazing. My kids loved the provided waffle mix and syrup and it was great to have access to so many spices and basics. Even though it rained practically our entire stay we drove out to botanical beach on the Juan De Fuca trail and it was stunning and did lots of walks and hikes with our dog off leash. The cabin’s hot tub was such a highlight and the dock and view. The Murphy bed was firm just the way my husband likes it and the queen in the bedroom was firm too. The sofa bed was comfy for the kids too. My husband really appreciated the sharp knives for cutting. I would suggest bringing slippers if you like the sort of thing. I wish I had brought mine. We loved our stay and Lisa is really the best host you could ask for.

We have stayed at this place a few times now and always enjoy our visit. It’s perfect for a big group, has a well stocked kitchen, a cozy fireplace and a wonderful hot tub with views of the beautiful yard. Will be back next year!

Great location in a peaceful surrounding. Was perfect for three couples to share and feel comfortable. Definitely take in the classic bowling just up the street if you stay here! Not a lot for amenities in the area so ensure you do your shopping prior to coming.

Matthew's place was comfortable and had all of the amenities a group or family could need for a relaxing getaway. The dining table with bench seating was great for breakfast with the kids, the outdoor space was great (big covered fire pit and hot tub!), and the place felt spacious with lots of seating. There were even fun extras like board games and kids toys. We walked to the nearby bar & grill for dinner and had a great meal. Next time I'm in the area, I would definitely stay again and extend my stay to get the full lake cabin experience!

My partner and I had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was peaceful and private and the hot tub was a relaxing addition. Had everything we needed and the welcome basket was useful! We both really loved being surrounded by nature and hearing the birds and creek. Would recommend a capable vehicle as the driveway is not paved and is quite steep in some spots!

This was one of the best and most enjoyable Airbnb stays we’ve ever had. The house offered everything we could ask for in terms of amenities and entertainment. The blankets, towels, and bed linens were impeccably clean and well-organized. The kitchen was beyond fully equipped—we found everything we needed. The house was beautifully decorated with antique and vintage items, making it feel like a living museum that we thoroughly enjoyed exploring. One of the most fascinating parts was a little playroom, once belonging to a baby girl years ago, filled with toys from that era. Although we didn’t have a little girl in our group, all the adults couldn’t resist visiting this charming space. Even though our group only used one of the two bathrooms, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely love to stay with this wonderful and thoughtful host again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carmen's Cottage. It was a great place for peace and quiet, as well as a good location to explore nearby attractions of this area. The cottage felt like home, with a comfortable interior and plenty of outdoor space! Thanks to Carmen for sharing her place!

Karen's place was awesome! A private little cabin walkable to the ocean, beautiful views within the complex (this is a neighbourhood of other similar cabins), within walking distance to the restaurants and cafes in the area. It was a great launching point for us to go to sombrio, botanical beach and other points of interest in the area. It was comfy, clean and spacious. Easy lock box check in. We'd certainly recommend and stay again.

Fun, eclectic house with beautiful surroundings and a lot of retro charm. Kitchen, bathrooms, and appliances all modern but home has an awesome mid-century crafted style.

Cozy stay :) Jason gave us a heads up that the power in the town was out several hours before our arrival and provided us with updates every hour. He gave us the opportunity to change our plans if needed. We are happy we ended up deciding to still come because the power came back very shortly after arriving. The house heated back up quickly and we had a wonderful time going to some of the places Jason recommended.

The cabin is quiet, comfortable and in a great location. Well stocked with everything you need for a short or longer term stay. Loved my time here and would love to stay again!

Julie was a great host, would definitely stay again! We actually did a same day booking because our original Airbnb had to cancel and we were so grateful Julie was able to make it work on such short notice. The place is super cozy and has beautiful views right on the lake. Would love to come back in the summer for another girls trip! Highly recommend.

lovely place right on the water kayaks, canoe etc all readily available. we were there in October so too cold to swim. it would be amazing in warmer weather. Lots of local things to see market, hikes etc. you do have to drive

We found ourselves in town for a family service and Fiona was the utmost kind and supportive host we could have found. The space was absolutely perfect, spotless, serene, and comfortable. It was exactly as described and made a difficult trip much more easy, especially being by the beautiful ocean. We saw a ton of wildlife so the speed limits are absolutely necessary. Thank you Fiona, we will surely be back in the future.

My husband & I stayed twice (1 night on our way to Tofino, 2 nights on our way back to the Victoria ferry) in October 2024. This is a very charming, lovely, comfortable, 2 bedroom cottage on the bay. It can’t be beat. Loved, loved, loved it. We arrived after 3 hours of sleep over 2 days, after picking up my husband from SeaTac late the night before, only getting home at 2:00am, & heading to the Coho ferry in Port Angles WA at 6:00am. Needless to say we could not think straight. Hence we could not get into the cottage the 2nd time we tried after leaving all our stuff & my phone charging in the house. I contacted Danielle & she very patiently explained what to do. She was very responsive. From then on all went super smoothly. Again, we stayed there 3 nights, & would love to stay there again. Very well located & the bay is fascinating to just kick back & enjoy. Boats, boathouses, sea lions, birds, fog & ever changing clouds, & familiar comforting harbor & lapping water sounds to sleep to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ruzhdi’s rustic boathouse & we would highly recommend his place. He greeted us upon checkin & checkout and also greeted us the day after we arrived to ensure that all of our needs were met & that we were satisfied. !!!Please note that if you’re not good with stairs this place is NOT for you! Going down to the boathouse isn’t too bad but climbing back up 84 steps with luggage is definitely a cardio workout! We definitely took advantage of the great views to catch our breath once we reached up to the lower level of Ruzhdi’s main home! Then there are more stairs to climb to reach the car parking area. If you are looking for a private & serene place with gorgeous views of the ocean sunsets & sunrises and wildlife both on land & water then Ruzhdi’s boathouse is the perfect getaway destination! Those views are simply amazing! Thank you Ruzhdi for a wonderful space to unplug & unwind. We hope to return!

We were visiting the island to spend time with our son over the family day long weekend and had a wonderful stay. Such a cozy little cottage surrounded by natural beauty. Very well stocked kitchen and we immediately felt right at home. Lindsay

An amazing, well equipped cabin overlooking a pristine lake. The cabin is central to the island making it ideal to stay at while exploring Salt Spring! We were able to cook a full meal thanks to the thoughtful stocked kitchen and amenities! Ashley was a delight to communicate and even before we left we agreed we'd return someday.

This was a perfect place to stay for us on a quick overnight heading up island! Beautiful and peaceful location with a stunning sunset. And a visiting bear on the patio in the morning! We will be back.
