this place is so thoughtfully and beautifully designed & furnished. the views are incredible, even during a grey winter day. both beds are heavenly. though it's not targeted as an accessible home, we found it very comfortable for my mom who uses a walker. just one step at the entry threshold then easy to get around every space. primary & guest bathrooms both have walk in showers with small entry thresholds. be aware though that there are no handholds in either. i brought my dog and took full advantage of the bald mountain hike, which starts across the street and down the block! there were one or two little things we needed and Kory was very helpful & responsive. would love to come back again!

This place is amazing! It offers a beautiful view of the lake and easy access. Although I didn’t have a sunny day during my stay, I can imagine it being perfect in the summer. The hosts, Amy and Patrick, were incredibly supportive and always available. I highly recommend this place and hope to return on another occasion!

There are very few Airbnb hosts like William who genuinely care about their guests experience and are willing to be accommodating when things don’t quite go to plan. The house and location are picture perfect but it’s the host that always makes it worth coming back which we definitely will!

Amazing vacation rental home., our family and I loved it. Kurt provided lot of kitchen appliances/dishes, so you no need to go out to eat junk food. You can cook anything at home and spend good time with your family and friends. Also, lot of space and board games for kids and family. Overall, we liked our stay here and I recommend this place if anyone looking for amazing lake view from house. Suggestion: Kurt can add table tennis or snooker in downstairs hallway if they feel it has enough space to fit them 🙂

Huge home with all the needed amenities for our stay! Was very pleased to find a little closet of kids puzzles and books as well. My kids loved the gems and rocks that were collected around the home. Wish there was a little space where we could have found it what some of them were and where they were collected!!

We had the most incredible stay at Gerry’s Victoria home! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The house is beautifully decorated, blending modern comfort with charming details that made it feel like a true home away from home. The location is perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being just a short drive from the heart of Victoria and all its wonderful attractions. Gerry was an exceptional host, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We would have loved to spend time in the cozy backyard if our weather had been better - it’s perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend this lovely home to anyone visiting Victoria. We can’t wait to return!

This home and the views are stunning! The weather was cool and damp during our stay, so the outdoor firepit was perfect to keep us warm while we relaxed in the yard with our dogs. And the hot tub and indoor fireplace made for a cozy/relaxing weekend! The inside was equipped with basically everything we needed, and the layout was great for a little group of friends/family. Allison and Sean were wonderful hosts - so quick and easy to communicate with, and they even brought us more firewood shortly after we arrived. We would highly recommend this place to anyone! Our stay at Gavin’s place was perfect. We had plenty of room for our group. The house was comfortable, well appointed, comfortable beds and had everything we needed and more. Gavin was super responsive to all my questions, he is a great host. Thank you Gavin! Highly recommend this home when staying in Shawnigan Lake. Lots to do, and we had fun adventuring around. Would love to come back in the summer.

Tracy and John are fantastic hosts. They have everything you can think of and more within the unit. There were also some other little perks but don't want to ruin the surprise should you choose to stay here which you should. The view / location can't be beat. The lake is a few mins walk away; super clean (rocky so you may want water shoes) and there is a dock to jump off of. Separately, my luggage arrived late and they provided me with extra toiletries which was so thoughtful. They also regularly checked in on the situation which I really appreciated. I hope to be back!

Quiet place with a beautiful view of Shawnigan Lake. The suite was very comfortable and clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wow, Lipton's house, next to the water was perfect. Every morning we woke up to the beautiful view over looking the water of the inlet. After getting up, we enjoyed a refreshing walk in the air along the waterfront. there were many joggers and friendly people out walking their dogs each morning. it was a great start to any day. the place was central to everything that we wanted to visit. Lipton was a great host. He always made sure we were comfortable and gave great recommendations for the surrounding area. I would highly recommend his place and go back to it again if visiting Victoria in the future.

We are SO glad that we were able to stay in Michelle's charming apartment! First of all Michelle is a lovely person who welcomed us and made us feel very much at home. And you can feel her warmth, kindness and creativity show in the home. We appreciated the thoughtful touches Michelle provided and how well equipped it is. This is a welcoming place with lots of light, fun and quirky furnishings, lovely houseplants and a good layout with lots of space. We walked in and immediately felt at home. What a gift! Thank you so much Michelle for sharing your lovely, lovely place with us! You are in all ways a SUPER host!!!

My sister and I had a lovely time staying at Bill and Ashley’s cottages. The cabin was the perfect little size, and equipped with everything we needed to cook lovely meals and enjoy a fun relaxing weekend. Big thanks to Bill for lending us a guitar capo when we realized we had forgotten ours! Say hi to Zoey and Louie for us, can’t wait to visit again :)

I had the most incredible weekend at this beautiful cabin on St. Mary’s Lake! The space was absolutely magical—peaceful, rejuvenating, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a perfect getaway. From the stunning lake views to the cozy, well-equipped amenities, every detail made our stay extra special. Spending the weekend here with my three friends was an unforgettable experience. We felt so relaxed and at home, and the surroundings made it easy to unwind and reconnect. The hosts were fantastic—welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything was just right. If you’re looking for a serene escape on Salt Spring Island, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m so grateful for this stay and already looking forward to returning!

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! The view is amazing and the lake invites to a swim, even on cold days. The cabin was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and it felt like a second home. The communication was super easy and we even received some recommendations for the area around. We will definitely come again :)

lovely place right on the water kayaks, canoe etc all readily available. we were there in October so too cold to swim. it would be amazing in warmer weather. Lots of local things to see market, hikes etc. you do have to drive

Highly recommend this spot. The cabin has a nice dock, the sleeping setup is very comfortable, and the place is well suited for a getaway with friends. Amazing morning views!

Michael’s cottage is an exceptional place in an absolutely perfect location. The main floor of the house is amazing with breath-taking views of Shawnigan Lake. It’s incredibly calm, serene and quiet and the perfect place to cook and relax after a day of hiking. Sitting in the hot tub, overlooking the lake and surrounded by over a foot of snow was an incredible feeling. Everything about our stay was great. Thank you Michael!

Chad and his family are lovely hosts. He encouraged us to let our dog play with theirs, so it really did feel like a vacation for all of us. This cottage is in a quiet location with beautiful views. I would recommend booking to anyone. 10/10
