We had a great time and a peaceful trip. The place was very private. We wanted an "off season" getaway and this place was perfect. I really appreciated the "spot lights" over the dine-in kitchen table…I could tie some fishing hooks with directed light. Would definitely book again and would recommend to others thinking of going to the area for fishing. Herkley met us, opened up the place and made sure it was to our satification when we arrived. It was nice to have a person near by if an issue would arise- but none did! Thank you so much!

Great experience. Area is peaceful and relaxing. Lots to do outdoors, close to the Meramec River and Onondaga Cave state park. Recommend this area for anyone that enjoys outdoor adventure. Will definitely stay with you the next time we are in the area. Thanks again for sharing your home with us, we look forward to staying again soon!

We stayed here with two families, including six kids and two dogs. The house and log cabin were very comfortable, and we had more than enough space. We were just a short drive from the river, where we spent a day floating. It was a great getaway for the weekend!

I want to start by saying that the houses have a beautiful view and would be PERFECT for a spring, summer or fall trip, even if it is rainy. We had a couple issues getting to the cabin because of the weather and a couple other things that we sorted out with the owners. There were several inches of snow with a sheet of ice underneath on the property so, we got stuck at the top of the hill (4WD truck) and had to walk down with our stuff. Several people slipped and fell. With that said, they cannot control the weather but it would have been nice to have the path to the house cleared. Just be aware that the house is at the bottom of the hill and ice will be a problem. Also, I think they will be fixing the heat in the guest house, which wasn’t working while we were there. The kitchen was great. The beds were very comfortable and it all felt cozy. We all had fun and agree we would return in the future!

Beautiful home with peaceful surroundings! The back patio, upper deck, and bedrooms all had great views. The house was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the bonus game room. The family room with fireplace was perfect for visitng/relaxing. Jessica was an amazing host! Highly recommend!

This place was absolutely perfect for us! We used it as a girls weekend and to surprise my grandma with a concert at the steeleville music theatre. The home was beautiful with amazing views and every last detail thought of from stacks of wood, to the binder with recommendations and even Firestarter and a long handled lighter in the basket next to the fireplace. the home was also perfect for those who may not be able to move around as well or need a more handicap accessible place in the area. 30/10 would recommend to anyone!!

We found this house due to its proximity to float outfitters, and chose it for its size and charm! We had a fabulous girls weekend here. There were many different sleeping options to choose from, huge kitchen and dining areas, and very comfortable living spaces. The sweetest cherry on top was Patches the horse greeting us every day. Would absolutely stay again!

We had a fantastic stay at Rich’s. It was very relaxing and a wonderfully serene setting. Rich was easy to talk to and was available anytime we reached out. I highly recommend staying here.

Jean was a lovely host. Incredibly responsive from the moment we booked. She got us setup to float and Ryan was wonderful to get us checked in and on the river! Cobblestone is wonderful. We went during the late summer/fall off season. It was quiet and peaceful but the rec room was super fun with ping pong and other table games. Access to the river was also great, just a short hike. The whole property was cute and purposeful. Jean made amenities clear in the listing, so we came appropriately prepared. Also, there’s a nice screened in porch which we’re able to sit in while it rained. A great nature experience, we would absolutely return!

We had a wonderful time. Morning coffee on the front porch with fresh air and lite sounds of spring was just what we needed to relax. Thank you for sharing your home.

Everything was squeaky clean and so peaceful. The location was very private yet close to stores, etc. I wish we had more time to explore the property.

We took our boys to Steelville during one of our son's spring break from MIZZOU. We enjoy riding dual sport/ADV motorcycles and the area is perfect for that located, as it is, near the Mark Twain National Forest. The home itself was perfect - very comfortable and cozy. Wonderful view of the Merrimac River valley. Also private and secluded. Great fire ring with ample fire wood that we enjoyed nightly. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the great bed linens. We also hiked a marked trail that headed west from the home. We hit every restaurant in Steelville and enjoyed them all (Rich's Famous Burgers, Spare Rib Inn, Royal Garden Chinese)- despite all by one not serving alcohol (Mr. Tequila of course). We also headed about 7 miles north to Cuba where there are more great restaurants. The hosts were wonderful and responsive to our requests. Couldn't ask for more. And the price point for the stay was more than reasonable for what we got. Will be glad to book there again.

This is my second time staying and my husband and I love it. It's a cute spot to relax in nature. It was noticably less clean this time around. Crumbs on the counter, blood stain on the sheets, dog pee scent on the couch. The manager mentioned that the cleaner quit earlier in the summer, so hopefully this is just temporary.

This was our second time at one of Jessica's properties, and we loved them both. Beautiful rural surroundings, private, very clean, and rustic. There are towns close by but you are far enough away to defuse. This property is also easy to find. Since the property is part of a cattle ranch we have also purchased beef both times, and it is outstanding. The TV was easy to use and the kitchen had whatever you needed to cook. Exactly what we were looking for.

We loved our stay in the cabin - very peaceful and comfortable and well-equipped. Word of warning that the kitchen has plenty of utensils, dishes, etc, but is missing a few items we hoped for - cooking oil and a big pasta pot, for example. We figured things out and didn’t consider it a huge drawback, but thought it would be useful for people to know when they’re grocery shopping! We loved having the fire pit for some camping-style dinners.

There was a big storm that came through as we were driving in that knocked out the power and Theresa updated us as events were happening so we knew what to expect. We didn't get in till after midnight so having a responsive host was amazing. Mark came down to the cabin the next morning with an update on the power and Theresa continued to keep us in the loop as we got out an explored the area. Our cabin was fantastic with the perfect amount of space for our family of four plus our dog. The instructions were simple and reasonable. We made several meals in the kitchen, watched a movie and played a board game and put a pin in their map showing where we came from. The beds were comfy and the WiFi was good. All in all, we spent some great family time in a beautiful wooded setting with big windows to enjoy the outside without having to be out in the crazy spring weather! Thanks for sharing your home!
