We had an amazing stay here. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy and in a very remote peaceful setting. The hot tub was very relaxing followed by sitting infront of the log fire made for a very relaxing time. The special treats left by the owner for the dogs was a lovely touch and the gingerbread was gorgeous. We would definately stay again.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Paul & Debbie are amazing hosts who are willing to help with anything we asked. Although just a short drive from Newcastle, we felt as though we were in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beautiful countryside. The cottage is gorgeous and extremely comfortable with everything you need including the most amazing private hottub. But the most amazing experience is with the alpacas who you can see from the cottage, have the opportunity to feed them and even take them for a walk which was just incredible. We were sorry to have to leave but will most definitely be returning! Thank you Paul & Debbie 😀

Lovely Air BnB in a beautiful location. The back garden/hot tub area is a little sun trap. All the amenities you need and more. Claire also left some bread and milk for us which was a great extra.

Had an absolutely amazing time here! 5 of us squished in nicely for the weekend and had an amazing time. We got the hot tub working and it was nice to be able to having something to do and watch whilst chilling, did find it a little tricky to maintain the temperature throughout the day. We cooked loads and there were loads of pans, pots, cutlery and everything else we needed to cook. Only thing that was tricky was the smoke alarm kept going off despite the doors and windows all being open. Was solved by wafting a tea towel at it but was still a little annoying. The place feels really spacious despite being quite small because of the skylights and windows so that was amazing. The hosts were wonderful and great at replying so we honestly couldnt really fault the place and are hoping to come back again for another little weekend away!!!

We had a fantastic stay at Orchard Cottage. The village is beautiful and the surrounding scenery is just perfect. We were very fortunate to see a barn owl on our first day, it was a real treat. The hot tub was fantastic and the temperature was spot on and it was a great place to take in the local beauty. The cottage was clean and tidy and we received some lovely welcome treats which were appreciated. We requested the second bedroom had the bed made up us a double rather than twins and this was done for check in. We met Henry when we arrived and he was lovely and very helpful and informative. We would definitely stay again, as the setting is so peaceful and the cottage was lovely and clean. I have to say that I expected some noise being on a working farm, but you could hear a pin drop which was fantastic, particularly in the mornings.

a stunning property, which had fantastic amenities. Thoughtful touches meant you didn't need to leave at all during your visit. Friendly neighbour who helped direct us to the Pub! Spacious and homey feeling. Love the sound system at the pool, hot tub area was private and sheltered with beautiful surroundings.

Would highly recommend a stay in this property. It was a perfect weekend away, and Mary-Anne was an absolutely wonderful host who was very responsive!

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

A fantastic cottage for our weekend stay. Had everything we needed and lots of lovely walks in nature.

Second visit in last couple of years. Really enjoyed it and may well make it a hat trick. Kay was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is spot on and the local shops very good. Would recommend the George & Dragon pub - really good Sunday lunch - and the Thomas’ bakery.

Even nicer than on the pictures . Great communication, ideal location, parking was no issue. Would definitely stay here again

The Nest is exactly what it says on the tin: a cosy little stone cottage that has made the most of every nook and cranny! Considering its coziness, the cottage is well-equipped and has everything you’ll need during your stay. If staying in winter, you’ll need the log burner on the go, but upstairs will be toasty and comfortable. As a host, Annette is lovely and full of recommendations and is always responsive to a message, should you need her. There are some great walks on your doorstep and having the two pubs and a couple of local shops in the village is a bonus!

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. Perfect property and location perfect for local restaurants and dog walks Leyburn and Masham both great local towns and Hackfell Woods and the Shall beautiful walks It goes to prove the small size is all a couple need and with 2 spaniels !! We would definitely recommend to stay here! This cosy cottage is the perfect place for some peace. The log burner is well equipped and very warm. James was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He was attentive, happy to help and share advice/ recommendations on the local area which had plenty of walks, places to eat etc. If the sky is clear you will be in for a treat with the sky! 🌌

Well, what can I say other than wow! Our time here was truly wonderful! Jim and Susan are the most lovely, warm and welcoming hosts. The cottage was absolutely beautiful! The pictures really don't do it justice and show how spacious it actually is. I couldn't stop taking pictures! I even had to video call my family and friends to show them how beautiful it was. Susan had also provided a delicious array of (top quality) goodies; which we didn't expect but were ever so grateful for. You can tell how much pride she takes and that she wants you to feel welcome. it was above and beyond. The beds were extremely comfortable, I had the best night's sleep I think I've had in years, there's also a little stream running behind the cottage which helped me drift off. Absolutely amazing location, with lovely restaurants, cafe's, views, walks, the Roman army Museum (with a lovely lake and walk just over the bridge on your right), Vindolanda, we also did a tour of Northumbria honey co Haltwhistle.

A wonderful peaceful oasis in a great location. You can be on the coast in 40min, in Newcastle in 30 or go for a walk in the North Pennines in a matter of minutes. The place itself is lovely. The private garden was great for the dog and I would imagine is wonderful in the summer months with the hot tub on! The EV charger next to the parking space was also a godsend that not many places have. A great stay with a responsive and friendly host who went out of her way to help.

What a find! Amazing place to stay. Not only is it a 5 star accommodation, it's a perfect place to explore the local area and has the best back garden I've ever experienced i.e. "The Himalayan Gardens & Sculptures". The accommodation itself was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean, plenty of space for two adults and two springer spaniels. We valued the entrance with it's stone floor to rub down our wet pups when arriving back after our adventures. With plenty of logs for the burner it added to the feeling of home from home. Everything supplied in the cottage is top class quality. The outside area included an enclosed patio which many need if they have dogs with them. We were there when the gardens were closed so it was quiet and such a treat to be able to walk around not sharing it with anyone else. We will be back and have already recommended the cottage to our friends and family. Thank you Will and Sophie

The location is very peaceful and the Stables is part of a very impressive complex of farm buildings. The cottage facilities are very good particularly the shower. The kitchen however could benefit from an extractor fan. The local pub the New Inn is a real find and is the brewery tap to the village brewery. However you will need to be fit to walk it as it lies up a long steep hill. Overall a very good venue.

We had a fantastic weekend away. The house looks exactly like its photos and was extremely clean. Ross and Gillian were very friendly and had preemptively turned on the heating and had goodies for us to enjoy upon our arrival which was very appreciated. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided which was also appreciated. The views from the windows were stunning and we even had perfect sunsets each night. The small patio was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the serenity and a glass of wine. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay on the coast . The cottage was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Great value for money and very helpful owner in being as flexible as possible with check in and check out .

A lovely cottage in a good location with good routes to the lakes. We left early in the mornings to make the most of the days out to the lakes. Chantal was really lovely and friendly. The log burner was definitely a highlight!
