Our family enjoyed our stay. Property is updated and modern with many small touches which we appreciated considering it is so far away from stores, specifically the kitchen and the little extras most hosts do not include i.e. zip lock bags, spices, coffee. Would recommend and return. Kids (ages 7-16) had a great time.

Our stay at this home was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully designed and impeccably maintained space. The home was not only aesthetically pleasing but also thoughtfully appointed with all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Initially, the home seemed compact at first, but it offered ample space for our family. Jennifer, our host, was OUTSTANDING!! She was welcoming and attentive to our needs! Though in a neighborhood, the property felt private and peaceful. In the mornings the view from the hot tub overlooking the lake was serene. The Gatorvator was a thoughtful feature, making the deck accessible for my elderly grandfather who has trouble getting around from time to time. It allowed him to be present during all the kids outside activities and not secluded, which we loved! This home exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to our next stay. Highly recommended!

Perfect relaxing get away spot. Me and my fiancé loved this perfect to rekindle and take in nature. Would definitely want to come back.

The host was very responsive and friendly while answering all of our questions. The home is in a gorgeous secluded section of the lake with a large fishing pier that is fairly new. The hot tub was def a highlight. It had Tons of jets and overlooked the water. The family enjoyed grilling burgers and hotdogs with me in the covered shed which was under the trees down by the water front. The inside was gorgeous with tons of space for the entire family to spread out. The casinos are only about 20 minutes away and a grocery store was only 5 minutes away. If you’re looking to get away with the family, this spot covered all the bases.

Really enjoyed my stay! I came to kayak bass fish and had a great time. The place was very clean, had everything I needed and was quite peaceful after a day on the water. Thank you for a great few days. I’ll definitely be returning in the near future!

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s place. It is so cozy and spacious. The lake is just across the street. The property has canoe, kayak, and everything you need to explore the lake. Jennifer is a friendly and responsive host. Highly recommended!

Great location - right across the street from a boat launch. Spot on description. Super quick response time to the only issue which was a WiFi password misunderstanding. Adorable tiny spot - decor, furnishings and supplies were over and above. 10/10 would stay again!

Jennifer was a great host. She communicated very well, and we really enjoyed ourselves. She did a great job decorating the cabin, it was in a great location, and it was obvious that she had spent a lot of time compiling resources and making sure we had all the amenities we needed. We’ll definitely be staying at one of the many places she hosts when we come back to the one-of-a-kind Caddo Lake.

Host was awesome! The house was amazing to stay in and very nice views of the water. We would love to stay again.

Jennifer’s Tiny Emerald backs right up to the bayou! It’s so peaceful and beautiful in a unique kind of way. The cabin is very tiny for six, but our children really enjoyed the top area. The mattress in the main bedroom and top is very comfortable. It’s decorated very cute! It rained a lot while we were there, so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors very much. It looks like there would have been a lot to do if the weather would have been warmer and dryer. But we enjoyed the view and ambiance. Rain hitting the roof, while watching ducks swim around was great for a relaxing December afternoon.

The layout is perfect for a family or group vacation with several cabins on the island. Outdoor is perfect for socializing and enjoying the Louisiana sunrises with plenty of chairs, swings, and porches. The cabin was an older lake house so there were some bugs and dust like you’d expect on porches. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Perfect set up for a family with lots of kids as there are only two bedrooms but lots of extra beds. Plenty of games and seating. May be a bit on the pricey side compared to other air bnbs of similar quality. Would stay again.

This was the retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city my family needed. The property was off the beaten path but very close to downtown shopping and food. It had plenty of area for the kids to run around and enjoy the beautiful bayou flowing in the back. Got to chat with other families at the communal fire pit while also maintaining our privacy. My husband and daughter tried fishing for hours, the current was very strong and kept stealing their lines but they made out with one catfish! We would love to go back!

Cute and well appointed cabin, with a big, beautiful deck! Comfortable beds, great view of the bayou and just minutes from town! Loved having easy access to the canoes as well. Thanks, Jennifer - you were a great host!

Mary did an excellent job of setting this cabin up. Lots of birds and critters to see outside and the location was really quiet. Beds were comfortable and not sagging. Great shower. we didn't use the kitchen other than to make coffee and tea. if you have an electric vehicle, the outside outlet does not work. we'd stay again.

GREAT LOCATION UNDER PINE TREES ON A QUIET SPOT ON CADDO LAKE. PERFECT FOR KAYAKING RIGHT FROM THE PROPERTY INTO A SLEEPY RIVERLET THAT MERGES INTO STUMPY LAKE OR BIG CYPRESS. WE PLAN ON GOING BACK!

Our stay at the Old Cypress River House was exceptionally pleasant and enjoyable! The pictures do not do it justice. Everthing we could want was there. The house is lovely, warm, comfortable, nicely decorated and right on the Bayou, where the fish were jumping even at 10:30 at night! We highly recommend this place for a family outing where you will enjoy sitting on the deck watching the peaceful bayou and the moon rise and the sunset, kayaking, fishing, and cooking smores at the fire pit. You will feel right at home immediately in this lovely and obviously loved home.

We loved our stay and will definitely book again. Having coffee on the porch and listening to the birds was awesome. Small boat launch right down the road was perfect for our kayaks. The house was super clean and great for our family.
