The Mangy Moose is the place to be! John has thought of everything! We came over our spring break (March) for fishing, so we didn't get to use all the summer amenities... But we enjoyed the beautiful kitchen (for yummy home cooked meals), awesome large dining table (for meals and games), large tv with lots of channels, beautiful fireplace, hot tub, and the kids LOVED the club house. Plus the 4-bed & 4-bath setup was perfect to blend (2) families together for a very comfortable stay for 9 people (total) for the week. This place is a true gem and we are already talking about next year!

The lake house was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of blankets and pillows. The lake was beautiful and the kayaks were really nice to have. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I had a few days off for a fall break. Dennis' place was a perfect spot. The drive there and the surrounding woods were vibrant with color. The place was comfortable, well-suited for a short or long stay, and was stocked with plenty to do. The short path to the lake is great, and the dock provides a lovely view. We spent hours just sitting on the dock chairs reading. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny days. We took the short drive into Traverse City to go to Trattoria Stella, one of our very favorite restaurants. We also took a short hike out back to connect to the Mt Minnie trail and thoroughly enjoyed that hike. Being minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire, and Franfort was a perfect location. Our last evening, we went 15 minutes to Peterson Beach and watched the sun set and stayed to watch all the stars emerge in the darkness. It was amazing! We didn't, but we could have built a fire there on the beach.. We hope to return. Thanks Dennis!

This was an incredible experience. Brenden helped me out when I was in a panic about where to stay after a previous reservation had fallen through. Very easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. The property was beautiful and house was clean. Garage was spacious and rooms were perfect for guests we had. The only bummer was the rain all weekend to not enjoy the outdoors/lake but the company was good! Would highly recommend not only this property but Brenden as a host!

Spent the weekend here for my wife's birthday with some friends. Great location for winery tours/local food, and everything you would need inside and out. Roger is a very responsive host and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay as welcoming as possible. Plenty of room inside the house for sleeping for 3 adult couples, could've even fit a 4th no problem in the loft. Home was spacious and the screened in porch is a great hangout spot overlooking the lake.

The host was so friendly, the views were beyond stunning. And I found a petoskey!! I wish I had never left!

It was absolutely beautiful. The trees had just changed colors and it was such a nice view! It was quiet and private. During business hours, you can hear the wine tasting room but that didn’t bother me at all. We stopped in and the staff were super friendly and helpful. So happy to have visited. Highly recommend!

Angela’s place was amazing! When we walked in, we were in awestruck by how classy the furniture selections and decorating were. Also, this was probably the cleanest Air BNB we have stayed in. Angela was very communicative, and she provided great recommendations for places to dine. We enjoyed the fire pit one evening, with the reflection of the full moon over the bay…so cool! We would love to come back to the area, and this place will certainly be our first choice for places to stay!

We loved the idea of converting an old motel into a more comfortable and spacious place right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable, "living" room space with table, microwave and fridge were just what we needed, and folks we met were very friendly. We'd stay here again!

We loved being right in the heart of it all - walking distance to the beach, the marina, plus the many eateries in the downtown area. The space was clean and quaint and we were pleasantly surprised that there was a small sun porch we could sit in to drink our coffee and watch passersby. We were planning to eat out so it was no trouble for us that this studio was not equipped for any cooking. We did have a nice mini fridge with a freezer for drinks and snacks. As soon as we arrived in town we watched the sunset at the marina and saw the northern lights immediately afterward! Guess it just worked out that night. Stacy was excellent with communication both by phone call and text. The shower was nice and hot but be aware there is a curtain dividing the bathroom rather than an actual door. Would highly recommend WaterFire winery a short 10 minute drive away. We love all of the water views in the area and walking to everything so we would be pleased to stay here again.

My partner and I’s stay at Jeffrey and Holly’s suite was outstanding. The space felt incredibly homely, with cozy decor and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was spotless and well-equipped with snacks, coffee, beach amenities, you name it - and we loved using their kayaks for exploring Silver Lake. They were friendly and provided smooth check-in instructions. The price for the area far beats any hotel we could have booked considering how comfortable, clean, and private the unit was. As other reviews said, mechanical noises and footsteps can be heard, but this did not bother us at all. We loved this unit so much, we will probably check the availability for our next trip to TC. This was hands down the best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our getaway on Stevens Lake. The setting of this house is peaceful, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. We loved listening to the loon on the lake and our son had a great time down by the lake. The house itself was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. We arrived late at night on a foggy night, but Jane's directions were perfectly clear so we had no trouble locating this out of the way spot. Would highly recommend.

This place was perfect! It was VERY clean, in addition to smelling wonderful. The furniture was clean/not worn and comfortable, beds comfortable and nice pillows (firm and soft - quality ones too). The bathroom and kitchen were both fully stocked. They thought of all the things you could need and we appreciated the extra supplies (garbage bags, dishwasher soap, paper towels, etc.) We even grilled steaks on the gas grill a sat on the back patio on a chilly fall night. The place was convenient to Suttons Bay and the surrounding towns. We ate at the local bar, had coffee at the coffee shop, and went to the winery (not our fav, but liked the atmosphere). Brooks was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. The remodeled apartment is one of the best! We will definitely be back and will book again.

We were in town for a family wedding and this was a perfect location. Could walk to town and other stores were close by. Place was better than expected.

The cottage was exactly what we expected, and more so. The view of the lake was just as spectacular in the morning as it was in the evenings!! Extremely comfortable, homey, and a great place to relax!! First time visiting Michigan, won't be the last. Thank you John & Melanie for providing such a wonderful place to stay!! Lynne & Bryan

The cottage was cute and spotless. The beds were comfortable, including nice sheets and it had everything that we needed. We stayed during the winter so didn’t get to utilize the lake but it’s close to the house and looks like it would be awesome during the summer. It’s only a 17 min drive to Crystal Mtn.

We had a lovely stay! The cottage was so cute and I just loved how they decorated it! We absolutely loved the hot tub and used it every day! We decided to walk down to the beach through all the snow, would love to stay in the summer when we can actually go swimming!! Ate at Peegeos twice during our stay, so close and so good, get the cheesecake! So delicious and made from scratch! We will definitely be back!

Great, quite location. Well equipped and clean. Our dog loved the big yard to run while we relaxed on the nice deck. It's very dark at night, take a big basket for all the stars. Loved it, thanks Michelle

Sweet space with walkability to a stunning view of Lake Leelanau. Easily able to drive to local “hot spots” like Suttons Bay, Leland, Northport, Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes. All the peninsula's wineries and cideries are within a short drive and so are some of the most incredible hiking paths. The space is quaint with everything you might need for a visit. My favorite was the fireplace and the stream just out the front door…the sound of it was delightful. The backyard space is vast and a wonderful place for a bonfire! You’ll enjoy your time here.
