Recommended! Pros: Clean! Lovely yard with soaking pool, large capacity washer and drier, soap and shampoo provided, parking; host left very clear instructions and was very responsive (e.g. we asked if they had snorkeling equipment, and they replied immediately - and the answer was yes!) Cons: Quite small; neighbourhood is one square block outside of town; some houses are well cared for (like this one!), but others are dilapidated To know: The living room and one bedroom have AC, these don't really cool the second bedroom, so we moved the standing fan in there and it was fine. I found the temperature light on the AC too bright for sleeping, and ended up turning it off in the middle of the night, but with a sleep mask it wouldn't have been an issue. Another review mentioned roosters in the morning - yes, roosters roam freely across the whole island, so no matter where you stay you'll want to use white noise or earplugs. There's a coffee pot, so bring coffee. Thank you!!

Maria's house was perfect for us. It is in a very quiet neighborhood (except for the roosters, but it's like that all over the island). I would, however, recommend renting a vehicle, because it's not in walking distance to anything other than a convenience store. But if you do get a car, it only takes about 8 minutes to drive to the ferry terminal, and about 10 minutes to get to Esperanza on the south side of the island. What I really liked about the house is that it was that it not only has solar panels, but it also has a whole-house battery backup system. It made me feel better about being on vacation in a net zero energy use home. My wife and I went with 5 girls, so the pool was a nice addition. Thanks, Maria!

Stayed here with my wife and 3 teenagers. Have to say that we are all sad to leave. The home had everything we needed- plenty of space, great little pool, basketball. The views from the house are absolutely amazing. When you are by the pool or on the roof, the views and surroundings are surreal. Neighborhood is great. Felt super safe the whole time. There are about 8 or 9 restaurants within walking distance and pretty much everything else in the area within 15 minutes driving. We had a couple of questions during the stay and Gerardo was very quick to respond. We did a lot while we were there, but could have easily just stayed at the house and relaxed. We will be back at some point!

We loved staying in Al's place! The backyard was beautiful and the home was lovely, safe, and homey. The kitchen, including the refrigerator, had a ton of snacks, which we really, really appreciated after a long day exploring! We loved that it was so close to Seven Seas Beach, the Islands, and the local culture. For sure we would stay at Al's place again!

Lili’s spot is amazing! Walking distance to Esperanza for restaurants and an oasis of beauty in the small town. We loved it! The pool was delightful and so private; we loved sitting outside and listening to the frogs ; the kids loved the hammock. It was one of our Airbnb favorites!

Junior and Nani’s place was gorgeous! Junior was attentive and came through when we had some minor issues and was so friendly! We LOVED the home and created so many memories together with my mother, aunts, and daughter. I highly recommend this location. Great and safe location, beautiful pool and patio, and was awesome having washer and dryer!

THE VIEW- WOW!!!! Everyone’s favorite part! Place was very clean and spacious. Kitchen was open and large. Beds were comfortable. Newly renovated and modern. Outside space was nice. Only complaint was it says two bathrooms but the second bathroom is downstairs outside of the house. You have to leave the house and go down the stairs on side of the house to get to it so nobody wanted to do that. Aside from that loved the space and would stay here again.

We loved staying at Sandy's. Maria, the property manager met us at the airport and showed us around. That was lovely and comforting. We felt safe and enjoyed the outside patio. One thing that cannot be controlled is the noise of the pesky roosters--and they are everywhere. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Sandy's is very convenient to downtown and has a nice view of the harbor.

The view from the porch of Casa Guava will make you want to stay forever. It's just so, so beautiful. The house was clean and inviting. The beds are comfy. The kitchen has the basics. If you do a lot of cooking at home, you may need to get creative with some lacking euqipment. The location is amazing---about 15/20 minutes from "town" on a very rough road. (You could not manage the drive without a jeep....golf carts won't cut it.) But, this distance affords privacy. You can see two houses from Casa Guava, but you are definitely in your own oasis. The only nuisance we encountered were mosquitos in the house. It felt necessary to keep doors open for the lovely, cooling breeze, but that also let mosquitos in. Kind of a dilemma. The shared doc is a 10 minute walk down, down, down to the water and more like a 15min walk back up, up, up to the house. Super close drive to Zoni beach and other public beach accesses. Amazing place. We hope to return.

The place was just what we needed Hilltop ,quiet, solitude Beautiful view of the Ensenada Honda from the front deck Home was spacious Tastefully decorated Nice bathrooms and tiled showers We didn’t arrive until after dark and Host was very responsive in making sure we had location needed to get there Will definitely return

Great location. 5-10 minute golf cart ride to the different beaches and near good restaurants. Milo was also very responsive to questions!

JGuadalupe's place was great! We liked the spaciousness of the apartment. Also, the bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked well ☺️ Karl and Kristi

Great spot in the center of the town. host communicated fast & is super reliable. The beds were super comfortable.

It is a cute place with a great view and phenomenal deck situation. The AC works very well, the WiFi was slow, and the room was clean and tidy. Seeing frigatebirds circling in the bay every day was wonderful. It is definitely a small room, but well equipped. The size wasn’t a problem for us at all, as it leads you to use the beautiful deck more when you’re there.

The host was responsive and fun to speak with. Very personable, which was so wonderful. The open communication made the stay that much more amazing. The apartments were phenomenal. The porches had great comfortable furniture to enjoy the views, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean.

The place was even better than the pictures and description. The host was incredibly thorough with check in and out instructions. They were prompt with the communication and were willing to help in any way possible. The views were absolutely incredible and the ability to relax on the balcony with hammocks was a great touch (including the string lights)! I would recommend anyone to stay with Norma and enjoy this little piece of heaven while in Culebra.

The house is great, plenty of space for the five of us. The hill is steep but the jeep had no trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed the views from the decks. The breeze blowing through kept it cool. We only used the ac one night out of 7. The tile work in the floor is beautiful! I would highly recommend this place.

We had a lovely time, the unit was very comfortable and inviting. Not too fussy or fancy, just friendly and restful. The stairs can be a bit challenging as we all are senior citizens. 😉 Great experience.

We stayed a week at Casa Maya and enjoyed every minute. The house is functional, beautiful and peaceful. The pool was lovely and we had everything we needed. Kavita's recommendations for restaurants was spot on! Truly was a fantastic vacation and after exploring the beaches it was so nice to return to Casa Maya for a relaxing evening by the pool. We hope to return!
