The pictures are what sold me on this place but the other reviews are right when they say the pictures don't do it justice! The place is amazing in a lovely quiet, secluded area, right next to a river but, at the same time, it's within walking distance of anything you need. It's the perfect place for a quiet vacation away from everything or a hub to experience a lovely little city and surrounding area. On top of all that, Daria was on point with her local recommendations, and her helpful instructions to find the place as well as the few necessities she left for us made the whole experience the best it could have been. Can't recommend this place enough.

We stayed in the Snoozy Owl for the Weekend and had the most relaxing time. The pod had everything you wanted and more! It was so nice and so cosy especially in the rainy weather. The complimentary breakfast items and biscuits were so sweet and thoughtful. I really recommend this place. Mechele was also the most amazing host, so helpful with everything and couldn’t do any more for us. We can’t wait to be back one day!

Had a lovely couple of nights stay in 'Jessie's Shepherds Hut. The huts is 100% the same as the photos and is spotlessly clean, lovely and warm and a smart TV that you can login to your Netflix account. Andrew was super responsive when we needed a hand with the heating, and gave us some recommendations for the local area. The hut is a lovely quiet farmyard with great views, yet only a 10 x min drive to a Tesco's, and a gentle 20 x min walk to a friendly local pub - Fleece Inn. I can't recommend Andrew's Shepherds Hut enough, and we will return

Absolutely amazing place, so peacefull. A great little wooden cabin with a log burner. shared toilet facilities further down the farm but that was non-issue. A lack of a shower block is the only downfall but absolutely doesn't take away from how much we enjoyed it, we will definitely stay again if in the area. Loved every minute of it. Dot is extremely helpful too. Top quality all round.

Lovely cosy weekend away in the log cabin. It was very clean and spacious and Ruth was very quick in responding if we needed anything. The rowing boat was a nice touch and you could take it out whenever you wanted. We made use of the fire pit and bbq in the evening. Woke up to a lovely sunrise and the 2 deers in the field always came over to say hello. The area was so quiet and peaceful with lovely views. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time staying at Gillian's pod. The location is excellent with beautiful views and we enjoyed our time there.

We had a lovely stay at the Shepard’s hut, which was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of great recommendations for things to do in the area, and the complimentary gifts left for us were a lovely touch. Host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend this place!

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was the perfect stay ! The cabin is very spacious and cosy. It has everything you need and the bed is super comfy. The cabin is also only a short drive from Barnard Castle with Raby Castle not too far either so there is plenty to do. Julia is lovely, responds very quickly and is very helpful. It doesn’t get much better than a glorious spring morning—blue skies above, sunshine on your face, and the simple pleasure of relaxing in a hot tub while watching lambs gambol playfully in the next field. The views across the Ribble Valley to Pendle Hill are wonderful. We were lucky with the weather, but honestly, this is the kind of place that’s perfect no matter the season. Even if the skies turn grey, the cosy charm of the shepherd’s hut makes it a wonderfully snug retreat. The hut itself has everything you could possibly need. It was immaculately clean, beautifully finished, and clearly cared for to a very high standard. Catherine was a great host—friendly, responsive, and welcoming. If you’re after a peaceful escape in stunning surroundings, look no further. This place is an absolute gem

Lovely little place to hide away to focus on work. Plenty of places to go for walks around with the Chevin and Ilkley Moor both near by. Plenty of options for eating places too. The welcome basket was much appreciated. Doggy hellos were super cute too. Thanks Alyson.

Really Enjoyed our stay and we were made to feel welcome from arrival. The accommodation is set in really lovely grounds with lovely views, the bothy is a nice little cosy stone building just off the main house. We really enjoyed the fire and the hot tub (which Sarah pre heated as requested) Robert made us a lovely fresh veggie breakfast in the morning, which was really tasty and set us up for the day. it's not far to Hawkshead (5 mins in the car) and if you're lucky and it's the right time of year, you'll pass the ospreys on Esthwaite on the way, which are always nice to see.

We wanted a short staycation in a peaceful part of the world which had plenty to offer. When we found this wonderful place in the listings we had to book it straight away. Our time there was great. Comfortable, plenty of room and great facilities. It was also near places of interest such as Brontë Country and the Yorkshire Dales. Alison was a great host who gave us all the information we needed straight away. She was also flexible and responsive. For anyone who is looking for an affordable place to stay in this area, I would highly recommend this.

Anabell was an amazing host from top to bottom. Looked after us the whole way through and even came and brought us her own Stanley Flask with hot water as the kettle wasn't working! Couldn't recommend this place enough, thankyou!

The instructions were ideal. We found the place with ease. Amazing little place. Very clean. Instructions for everything. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely touches of hot Chocolate and shower gel. I thought the price was ideal. I really hope I get the chance to go back x

Beautiful place in an ideal location

Perfect for dogs. Large enclosed field in a secluded location (no sheep in the neighbouring field either). The log burner keeps the hut nice & cosy at night, the outdoor (but covered) kitchen space provides space & 2 gas hobs, and the bathroom is great for glamping. But the best part is the outdoor space, which is even better than the photos suggest. This type of place often comes in a holiday park, with other huts nearby, but this feels totally secluded.

The most wonderful stay at Emma’s treehouse. It was so peaceful with the best views. Emma was brilliant. Would highly recommend to anyone!
