We loved our stay in the cozy cabin. It was more spacious than depicted in the photos. The cabin is tucked away in the redwoods and felt private and secluded, and at the same time was extremely accessible; downtown Arcata was only a 10 minute drive.

Great stay! One of the best Airbnb we have been. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the sunroom. Close to town and hiking trails.

We had such an incredible time at Eric and Heather’s lovely home. The house was incredibly comfortable, clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The location was perfect allowing us quick access to the restaurants in Trinidad but also as near enough to Sue-Meg that we went every day to hike, explore and play on the beach. Hot tub was so fun for the kids and we adults appreciated the constant coziness of the fireplace and the many pillows and blankets . We were a group of 8 (4adults and 4 kids) and had more space than we needed. Heather and eric were super responsive to every question we had and we absolutely loved being in the gorgeous space they have created. Many thanks!

Joyce and Patrick are an absolute pleasure! They are the best hosts I’ve experienced on Airbnb. They are kind and friendly, very responsive and very accommodating. We arrived to a well stocked kitchen to get us started! The cottage is adorable, well maintained and spacious. We will definitely be back back!!

Definitely worth the money for the amenities, privacy and convenient location to town. I feel like all coastal homes have that wet-scent but otherwise had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay and more. The walkable paths in the back are note-worthy as well. Thank you.

This place was magical. The view is undeniably beautiful and the house was welcoming with the perfect amount of amenities and pretty landscaping. The beds and bedding were just what we needed after a few days on the road… absolute relaxation. The hot tube was just right for two people and greatly appreciated after hiking the redwoods. We loved sitting around the fire pit mornings and nights as we soaked in the view. We stopped for groceries in Eureka but Trinidad has a small, nice grocery all the expected necessities and more. For travelers who are used to having condiments provided, there is coffee, tea, packaged creamers, salt & pepper and cooking oil. Our favorites — this house, hiking the redwoods and Trinidad State Beach. Note — While the listing states a hike down to the beach is possible, our active group advise that you visit Agate beach or the state beach, which are much easier to navigate and equally breathtaking. Our stay in Arcata at Loren’s place was perfect! Check in was simple, the house was super clean and comfortable, the beds were extremely comfortable, the hot tub was amazing, and the game room in the garage was so much fun! We had a ping pong tournament! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Arcata was cute and had a plaza downtown for shopping. We also visit Trinidad a few times which was only 15 minutes away. Our vacation was a hit! We visited Humboldt State Park and rode e-bikes, we kayaked in Trinidad, and drove the Avenue of the Giants! Prairie Creek Redwood Forest park was awesome too! Thanks Loren!

Had a great time staying here! A nice location a bit tucked away. The place itself was very nice and had everything we needed. Clean and great rooms.

Bluff House is a serene and beautiful get-a-way in an unbeatable location. The view of the ocean over the bluff is enhanced by the huge, west-facing windows. The host, Beverly, is friendly, responsive, and helpful. We would come back here in a heartbeat.
