It was great experience with him. Feels like at home, both of he and his wife were so kind. He also led us to his tracking institute, one of best experience in life (recommended to try must). And his front view is so so so awesome. Love to stay there again on next adventure trip. Thank you.

Loved the stay. It's very close to the Chowrasta Mall area. The room is clean. There's no mountain view. The window opens to the road outside, you get to see only the hotel opposite. The room has electric bed heater which is good. The bathroom gyeser works well. The hosts, especially Raj and his team, are cordial and helpful. Entry and exit are easy and hassle-free.

The place has very cozy ambiance . Host has been very responsive throughout are stay. Location wise it is perfectly located few spots are just walkable distance. I would recommend to be perfect place to stay.

I stayed at this place for 3 nights with my family, parents and in laws. The location is 15 mins walk from Darjeeling mall area. View from balcony is awesome, living room is very nicely decorated and kitchen has many utensils. Toilets are very clean too. Room heater and bed warmers have been provided. We are really satisfied with the services and warm greetings by the caretaker Pranesh. Highly recommended.

Perfect for a peaceful getaway with great mountain views and lush surroundings. The homestay is a bit far from the overcrowded mall road and hustle bustle of the city centre but easily accessible through the nearby shared taxi stand. Moreover, the place is right in front of the entrance for the zoo as well as close to the ropeway and some other nearby tourist places. The host was responsive and also really helpful with providing useful information regarding the places in Darjeeling too.

It was great staying at Pravash's place. The rooms were very well maintained with an artistic theme going on. Though we only stayed just for a night Pravash was a great with us, he recommended great cafes and restaurants for us to try. He even made a map for us so that we don't get confused with the lanes. Hope someday I'll visit his place again.

Tej was a lovely host and I’m really grateful to have found this property to stay at. It was nice because it was peaceful for Darjeeling, and you can walk to mall road in 20 minutes through beautiful scenery. Tej was helpful and always wanted us to be comfortable and well taken care of. I would come back. The kitchen didn’t have salt, spices or oil for cooking and I am used to air bnb providing these things for travellers since it’s hard to travel with those things. There is also no fridge but Tej was kind enough to allow me to keep some perishables in his fridge. Overall it was a lovely apartment, very cute and comfortable. Thank you Tej and Family🙏

It felt like home, the host was very much welcoming and had this typical warmthness in his actions and words.. the kitchen had everything we need ,and the washrooms were clean and comfortable ..Jerome even rode a few kms to return a thing we forgot at his place ..we felt lucky to have chosen to stay at his place and will surely choose his place in coming days.

The host Prajjwal is an amazing human being. He went all the way to help us. He helped us bring groceries for dinner and breakfast going out of his way. Very proactive to help in every way. The place is very well maintained and clean with an amazing kitchen. Reaching there is a hustle but the peaceful surrounding will help you relax from the city hush. All together a great stay. Would love to surely visit again.

I had a fantastic experience staying at “Lama Residence” . The describe property: cleanliness, decor, amenities, was excellent and matched the description perfectly, the location was incredibly convenient. The host was very responsive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Lama Residency Salugara . Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

We had a peaceful and comfortable stay at this 4BHK. The place was quiet and perfect for a relaxing trip. A special mention to Sujika and Mamta, who cooked delicious food for us and were incredibly helpful with local recommendations. During our stay, my mom fell sick, and they took great care of her, ensuring she had the right food and medicines on time. Ashish, the host, was also amazing—he helped us with local sightseeing and travel since he had his own vehicle, making our trip much smoother. The only thing to note is that the washrooms in two rooms were quite small, which might be an issue if you’re very tall. But overall, it was a great stay with warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend it!

This is our go to place in the winters. This is literally a home away from home with all the amenities required, provided, for a comfortable stay, both of long and short duration. Some good choice of eateries at walkabale distance and close to the main road but far enough from the traffic noise. The host and staff are amiable, super responsive and make you feel right at home. Clearly a place that deserves a five star rating. Highly recommended.

Tajistha was a good human being, the house was good but a bit far side but we managed to adjust regarding up hill and downhill although we were aware about it as non hill station personnel it was bit unexpected. So no blame on host ☺️There are some suggestions from me that should be fixed 1. Clear instructions about house rules even though it was pasted but those must be well communicated, we discussed many things but this was missed. 2. We took all the rooms which were available but there were continuous drippings for just running 2 inductions, since Darjeeling is cold place it is expected to use geyser and inductions together. 3. Hot water management was there in one bathroom only, hence even we had 2 bathrooms but we used only one bath. Above points should be improved that will help others and there will be must, otherwise it was a good stay.

This place truly is a hidden gem that people don't know about. You would have to walk a couple of steps downwards but it's worth it. The host was so accommodating and helpful from the start to the finish. He was polite and tried to help us with whatever we needed. Been to a lot of Air bnb's but this was one of the best experiences of the Airbnb trips.

We stayed here for a little less than 2 weeks in mid - Sept. This was our first time in a homestay and we really enjoyed having the entire apartment to ourselves. For a long period of stay, a hotel room can get quite boring. The apartment was big and well- maintained and thoughtfully decorated. But the best thing was the view from the den , where the windows open on to the valley . We were able to witness the Kanchenjunga range in its full glory at different times of the day. The best way to spend time is to sit at the workstation and watch the sky and clouds while reading or painting. The caretaker Sunil was extremely helpful and took care of all our requirements in terms of arranging cabs and getting us our daily requirements of water etc. His wife Shikha is an amazing cook and her chicken chowmein and chicken momos were our favourites. She even learnt to make us dishes from you tube based on our requests. All in all, a memorable stay in a lovely apartment, and the host was very helpful in recommending points of interest and stayed in touch with us as if we were her personal guests . Highly recommend this homestay !

We had a wonderful time staying in this Airbnb. It is a comfortable 1bhk apartment with all basic amenities as mentioned. 5 of us could fit in a king bed and a sofa come bed. Mall Road was about 600 meters walking and chowrasta about 1km. The grocery stores in the area were a bit smaller than the usual mart we are used to however local delivery makes it easy. The hosts were great and we will definitely visit again with friends and family.

The apartment itself is great (and being improved further!), but the highlight of the stay was my host and guide, Mr Mingma. He is a wonderful soul, and I encourage you to discover the ethos of him and his space on your own. The apartment is a steep alley down the main street. That'll be inconvenient for some, charming for others. Unlike what you'd get from the hotels and 'homestays' in the main town, from this apartment you'll have an opportunity to discovery Darjeeling the way the locals experience it. Mr Mingma also has some amazing recommendations for somewhat off-the-map sight-seeings. Recommended for longer stays. Currently the apartment contains only one bathroom with a shower and no wardrobe or full sized mirror. But these will be dealt with soon. The living room is amazing, exactly like the pictures. There are lots of friendly cats and not-so-friendly dogs nearby. But the dogs are all just sound and fury signifying nothing. Approach with love, you'll have a great time.
