If you love to stay away from crowd and in a secured place with superb hospitality, surrounded by garden then this is your place. Also, if you love friendly pets it would be an additional reason for you. Initially you might feel that the place is bit far from the mall road but it will take only around 250 bucks to reach there. Here you will meet Mr. Andrew with his simple but delicious dishes cooked with great care and love and be sure that he will make you feel this place as your own home.

A wonderful flat. A gentleman host. It is slightly uphill,but calm, quite and overall a good place to enjoy vacation. In kichen you get everything you need. Only mirror is needed in rooms. Darjeeling Mall and restaurants are slightly distant. Governor house is nearby but you have to go very steep gradient to reach there. Very cosy apartment, privacy,and security is very satisfying. Due to bad weather we can't see Kanchenjunga peak. But with minor have nots we are very satisfied. I love the warmth of the host and hearty, friendly behaviour.

You have to climb a number of stairs to reach to this place. Not enough view of the mountains, but overall a good place to crash for a night.

I recently stayed at Dhiraj's Alstroemeria Homestay in Darjeeling with my husband, son, and 60+ year old father, and it was a wonderful experience. The homestay is located just uphill near shiv mandir and walkable to Darjeeling Railway Station—while the climb may seem steep, it’s manageable and adds to the charm of being in the Himalayas. Dhiraj and his wife were incredible hosts, always available and attentive to our needs. Despite our late arrival, they greeted us warmly with tea, which my father especially enjoyed. The homestay itself was cozy and well-equipped with a kitchen and geyser for hot water, making it feel like a home away from home. The view of Kanchenjunga from the roof was breathtaking, and the convenience of food delivery from Zomato and Swiggy was a great bonus. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Darjeeling looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat.

It was our First visit to Darjeeling, and we should say we never felt we were away from home. Thanks to Amit for providing such a wonderful experience through out our stay. food was really tasty and was served hot. Dining area was providing a great view of the town.

We had an awesome stay, the view from balcony is just beautiful. The caretaker are extremely helpful. My daughter had a fun time with Aradhya , she is yogita s niece. The food prepared by them was simple and tasty. They even helped us with luggage and cab booking. Just one advice while reaching the property enter the village from zoo side and not happy valley tea garden bcoz the road is very scary.

We had a wonderful stay in Badamtam in Rebika ji’s house. It’s a very pretty house, with thoughtfully decorated interiors and spacious balconies having great views of the surrounding mountains and tea gardens. Rebika ji is an amazing host and made us feel right at home from the moment we had checked in. Her home cooked meals were delicious and always served hot and with lots of love ❤️. We also enjoyed bonfire every evening and Rebika ji prepared a lovely barbecue along with the bonfire on new year eve 🥰. Rebika ji’ son Ashu was very helpful and courteous. He showed us around the place and took us to nice view points. It’s pet friendly which was an addendum advantage to us. Overall we had an awesome and fun stay in Rebika ji’s place and would like to visit again. Thanks Rebika ji for your wonderful hospitality and warmth for us!

It was pleasure to stay at oasis apartment hosted by praggya lama. First thing it was at walkable distance from all major places i.e zoological park is 5 min away, chaurasta mall road is 10 min walk darjeeling joy ride is also 3 kms from apartment. If you are travelling with senior citizens with knee problem it is the best place to stay. Host praggya was very nice and friendly in nature and helped every way possible also ambience of the homestay is good as shown in photos. Thank you praggya ji it was nice to meet you and will recommend others also in future.

We were extremely happy with the homestay. It is cute and cozy, and the patio is the highlight. The views are amazing. The homestay is a 15 minutes walk from mall, hence the approach is also accessible. It is a great option for people who are not averse to walking a little. We truly enjoyed our stay. We stayed here for a little less than 2 weeks in mid - Sept. This was our first time in a homestay and we really enjoyed having the entire apartment to ourselves. For a long period of stay, a hotel room can get quite boring. The apartment was big and well- maintained and thoughtfully decorated. But the best thing was the view from the den , where the windows open on to the valley . We were able to witness the Kanchenjunga range in its full glory at different times of the day. The best way to spend time is to sit at the workstation and watch the sky and clouds while reading or painting. The caretaker Sunil was extremely helpful and took care of all our requirements in terms of arranging cabs and getting us our daily requirements of water etc. His wife Shikha is an amazing cook and her chicken chowmein and chicken momos were our favourites. She even learnt to make us dishes from you tube based on our requests. All in all, a memorable stay in a lovely apartment, and the host was very helpful in recommending points of interest and stayed in touch with us as if we were her personal guests . Highly recommend this homestay !

We had a wonderful time staying in this Airbnb. It is a comfortable 1bhk apartment with all basic amenities as mentioned. 5 of us could fit in a king bed and a sofa come bed. Mall Road was about 600 meters walking and chowrasta about 1km. The grocery stores in the area were a bit smaller than the usual mart we are used to however local delivery makes it easy. The hosts were great and we will definitely visit again with friends and family.

Here's a detailed review from our experience - The place was pretty easy to spot using GMaps and the guidance given by Mr Yougal. He's been extremely generous and hospitable throughout our stay. The house is equipped with possibly every utility one could think of. Every nook and corner has something to offer, extreme attention to detail. For instance, one can even find a large umbrella for those downpours (When you're not prepared! 😛). The living area is laden with items like snacks, tea, coffee, etc nicely tucked into the tight spaces. Location also is pretty central, one can easily find taxis to plan commutes anywhere in Darjeeling. Mr Yougal can help connect with friendly local cab drivers to plan any travel.

Rishi is an extremely good host with excellent communication, one of the best Airbnb hosts we have had the pleasure of meeting. The property was very comfortable, if a little cold in mid-Winter. Plenty of duvets and blankets, so warm in bed! This property is best for people who want to cook for themselves, as local restaurants are a bit limited and it is a long way to town, but food is available to purchase locally to cook at home. But please note that the kitchen has no refrigerator (not a problem in Winter), and no plug for the sink, making it a bit difficult to do the dishes! Overall a very good choice, as it is handy to the zoo and historic parts of Darjeeling.

Sereneties home is in a peaceful location with a stunning view of the mountains and towns below. The caretaker Urgen is a superstar who does his best to assist where he can. The place is a bit far from the Mall Road (about 30 minutes walk) but is in a quiet neighborhood. The place is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The place was good from inside. The look of the building from outside may not seem appealing as it's an old apartment, perhaps from 1930s. But, the house is beautifully decorated in the inside and offers an amazing view of the Kanchenjunga from every room. We had the entire place to ourselves, so it offers privacy. Hemanto, the caretaker was very responsive and friendly. He was always available for all our queries and everything we needed. I can't really thank Marina, the helper, enough. She helped us with the chores. She kept the house squeaky clean. I traveled with three senior citizens, one of them couldn't travel most of the days and stayed in, Marina heated and served her the food we kept and stayed till she ate. There are a few cons: - There are forty steep stairs to climb. This should be highlighted instead of just mentioning in a sentence in the long description. - The bathroom ceiling in the first bedroom is broken and the bathroom stinks.

Had a great and warm stay. Uncle and aunty were amazing and welcoming. The food was good and they made sure we feel at home.
