Lovely cottage near our son. We know the Bay Horse well and like it very much.

Amazing stay! House was spotless with a lovely interior. Host was very easy to communicate with.

Great cosy little cottage, very peaceful a great place to relax and has everything you'll need, plenty to do in the local area and the host is great, definitely reccomend.

(as of December 2020) Pros: tidy, newly refurbished house (some furniture still has labels on it). Has everything you need for both short and long-term stay. A truly hotel-like experience. Cons: the fridge is tiny. I lived there alone and it was barely enough for me. The internet is slow (around 10 Mb/s) - had to use my own mobile data most of the time.

This was a lovely place to stay. Exactly what we needed for a stop off before attending the great north run. Only disappointed factor was a couple of hairs on the bed sheets and also a left over sponge in the bathroom with hairs on it. I’d definitely return In the future, thank you.

Amanda is a great host and always communicated quickly and answered any queries which we had. Clear check in instructions were provided and all the information was given that we needed during our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

Came to visit family, perfect location, shops within walking distance, house was spotless and beds were extremely comfortable, just what was needed after a long journey, house had everything we needed along with some extras ! Breakfast items were a lovely surprise, great value for money and would definitely book again

Perfect apartment, well presented and with all the amenities you could ask for. Host thought of everything. Excellent location, with a good balance of walks, relaxation and local history. Highly recommended

A very enjoyable and therapeutic stay at Lauren's. I felt very safe in the flat. Everything was comfortable, cosy and homely. I wish I could have stayed longer. In terms of amenities, the big Sainsbury's by the roundabout was great and I had a couple of 'Sunday' lunches at Bolam's plus a coffee in shop near the post office/general store. Mainly, I was using the X12 bus (just across the road) to get to and from work but the location is very convenient for the road network, linking across the region.

Great host and lovely place to stay. Great facilities with a well equipped kitchen. Mark was only just a text away which was of great help. Massive thank you for our last minute booking due to our last place cancelling on us.

We had a lovely time. It was like a home from home. Emma couldn't do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of enticing cafes and restaurants in Bishop Auckland.

We’ve stayed at Joan’s place several times now, and will keep coming back. Great location, plenty of space and Joan is always so accommodating.

I stayed at Jeanette's place, and she was the perfect host, providing clear and helpful instructions. The area was great, with plenty to do nearby. I would definitely book again and highly recommend it!

Was lovely a flat and perfect for what we needed. The flat was clean and tidy and everything we needed was inside. The host was proactive and gave clear instrutctions for entry. We didn't spend a lot of time in the village but it looked lovely with a fish and chip shop a few minutes walk away from the flat.
