A group of old school friends had a lovely stay at Shelia’s beautiful house. Great open kitchen and communal space. Made use of the hot tub which was a nice addition. Nice country walks from the house and enjoyed a meal at The Farmers Inn. Would definitely stay again.

Firstly wow! The area in which this little cottage is set is beautiful, tranquil and private and has an enclosed garden for mine and my sister’s dogs. The welcome hamper was the best we’ve ever had with so many goodies in! Lots of local dog walks around the area and hotel grounds and we even found a waterfall after a heavy rainfall which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was clean and all beds made up, towels were provided too. Log fire and wood fired pizza oven and hot tub were so welcome on a foggy day when we were unable to travel. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but not a real problem. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only negative was only 2 windows open. We loved the fact we were surrounded by nature and birdsong and would have loved to have the windows open to make the most of this. Wouldn’t put us off going again as there are so many other areas we didn’t get to explore around there.

Had a couple of lovely relaxing days, really impressed with Maple Cottage, great peaceful surroundings, cottage is like a home from home, warm, clean and comfortable, everything provided, wanted for nothing. great hosts, definitely recommend. Bonus for us was the cloud free evening, with no light pollution, the view of the stars was amaxing. Jeff & Margaret

The photos don’t do this place justice. It really is beautiful. Quaint, spacious, clean and tidy. Plenty of facilities such as vac, mop, washing machine, dryer, cleaning products etc. Kitchen is a lovely space to all sit together. Bedrooms were very spacious and room for clothes etc. Lovely nights sleep in comfortable beds. Central heating worked a treat with log fire in the room (we didn’t need to use) including other heaters. It is lovely and warm and cosy. The views and surrounding areas are lovely. We used the hot tub which was a lovely addition and worked well been outside the conservatory part. We were a family group of mixed ages and we would absolutely stay here again. Host was great with contact prior to arrival with flexible check in/out. Overall a brilliant stay and we’ve also said we would return.

What a perfect place to stay with all of the family from 11 months to 80+yrs of age. Accessibility for my mum was excellent with walk in showers and sofa chairs easy to get in and out of. A travel cot and high chair provided for the youngest member of the family. A dishwasher including the tablets along with a fully equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub ideal with a glass of wine or too. Our two dogs enjoyed lots of walks and it was brilliant that the garden was fully enclosed and safe for them too. Sarah the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, little touches like jigsaws and board games where available and the barn had been decorated for Christmas to make you feelst home. The barn was in a beautiful location with lots of walks and a local pub ( booking is essential). If your into astronomy go to Grassholme Observatory I learnt so much and the dark skies are awesome. We had a lovely New Years break and would highly recommended Sunrise Barn for families.

Excellent location with a choice of walks from the door and Masham close by, ideal for our New Year walking break with friends. Very well equipped and cosy cottage in an excellent clean condition, one of the best we have stayed in, Angela has thought of everything including a lovely bottle of festive fizz, chocolates and biscuits! Plenty of fuel and logs for the fire, plus lots of bird food to refill the many feeders that attract the birds and wildlife. The electric blankets were a treat! Large dog proof garden and off road parking. Highly reccomended!

We enjoyed our stay at Lucy’s lovely cottage. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, dog friendly, and in a very peaceful location. Close to good food and take aways in Helmsley and Thirsk, but the cottage had great facilities had we wanted to cook. Really lovely welcome with cake, bread, butter and milk; great communication from Lucy throughout. Hope to visit again soon.

We had a lovely time. It was like a home from home. Emma couldn't do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of enticing cafes and restaurants in Bishop Auckland.

First class . Superbly presented apartment, clean and tidy with stunning views overlooking the marina. Thanks for making our stay a special one , we couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone, 100% . We will hopefully be returning soon .

The barn was located on a hill 360’views overlooking the village below. We were welcomed by a roaring fire & Christmas-twinkly lights. On the window there was an information folder as well as leaflets of places to visit. The barn has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We settled in & visited the local tavern to try out there ales we had a family game of dominoes. Nice little walk back up the hill were we nestled together on the reclining sofa wearing festival pjs with a glass of milk & cookies watching home alone wrapped in blankets. Took a trip to the cheese factory. Found somewhere for breakfast & lunch. Returned back & got comfy around the table drinking wine & trying the cheeses whilst trying to figure out the Santa jigsaw . That evening went on the polar express which was spectacular. Arrived back tired so relaxed in the crisp clean linen beds to find that in the night it had snowed what a beautiful end to our amazing family trip together. Thank you Louise x

West Cottage perfect for a family of 4 with 2 boys, looking to get out into the countryside and explore the area. Beautiful location, photos don’t do it justice, surrounded by green hills, sheep and with a brook below the garden. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves which meant we could use the wave machine, hot tub and games room whenever we wanted after days out. Also enjoyed having our meals out on the lawn. Cottage had all we needed, comfy beds and kitchen well-equipped.

We loved the remoteness of the cottage, the peace & quiet. Loved the pool & hot tub which is a must if we don't stay coastal.You definitely need a car to access any shops as the nearest shop is 2.3 miles and this closes at 5. No pubs within walking distance and some pubs only opened certain days and opened at 6. However that's what makes the place attractive & peaceful. Lots of places to visit with 10 mile radius. Great walks and historical sites to see. Beautiful landscape. Cottage was very snug & comfortable.

Wir hatten ein paar sehr schöne Tage im „Farm Cottage“! Der Hof ist ruhig und wunderschön und unsere kleine Tochter war begeistert von den vielen Tieren. Das Pool Haus mit Trainings- und Hobbyraum ist ein tolles Extra, genauso die frischen Eier von den eigenen Hühnern, Holz für den Ofen und der Service, das Waschhaus inkl. Waschmaschine und Trockner zu nutzen. Die Kommunikation mit Chris und seiner Frau war perfekt. Wir waren sehr traurig, dass wir nur ein paar Tage da waren. Ein kleiner Hinweis für große Menschen: Die Dusche ist sehr, sehr niedrig ;) Also entweder baden, im sitzen duschen oder am besten einfach die Dusche im Pool Haus nutzen!

Booked a last minute break. Studio cottage was lovely, clean and fresh. Swimming pool and hot tub were a nice touch. Thank you
