Another great weekend at the Owl & Otter. We keep coming back! Clean, well appointed, comfortable and extra small touches like home baked goods upon arrival. It’s our go-to for our semi annual girls weekend and we can’t say enough positive things about the space and Emily.

We were very impressed by this home and were sad to leave. You can tell there was thought and consideration put into the details and decor, construction and upkeep. A great place to stay in Bedford.

We had a lovely time staying here! The Lucky Loon deserves its 5 star rating. It’s a beautiful property with lots of space indoors and outside. It had everything we needed. Dave and Barry were fantastic and there to help. We hope to return in the future!

Kelly and Doris are incredibly friendly and quick to respond. Our stay was a last minute booking. Both kelly and Doris helped us feel right at home. The property is an Oasis. It has everything your family will need. The pictures do not do it justice. The quiet peacefulness you feel well sitting by the lake is everything you want and need. We will be coming back!

Jennifer is a SUPERB host. She was Sooo nice, always recommending things we could do to keep our family occupied, she’s a very pleasant person. We felt right at home in her spot, very clean clutter free and NOT to mention her going out the way putting up holiday decorations and a Christmas Tree for my 5 year old to enjoy her annual Canadian Christmas. It was like we had a fairy godmother always watching out for us. We appreciate that soo much.

We stayed at Jordan's location March 27 & 28 for the SEDMHA hockey tournament. The check in instructions were super detailed and easy to follow. The house was in a great location not far from the arenas we played in. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was lovely and the scenery on the lake was beautiful! Our only complaint was and it wasn't even that bad, the road is very close to the house and the traffic can get loud at night. It really didn't bother me but my husband is a light sleeper and said it kept him up one of the nights. Other than that our stay was perfect! We would definitely return

Very nice place to stay. The view from the back yard is priceless and is very relaxing .She has everything there to make for a nice evening outside ,patio lights, firepit ,lite up dock and picnic table right on the water. Inside is very clean and cozy and is not lacking for anything that you might need .This is not a place that you want to make any excessive noise as there is another residence right above you.

A lovely place, spacious and so beautifully located. Shops next door, but so quiet and peaceful with a private deck right by the water. We had an excellent stay!

We loved the location central to going to Halifax and Mahone Bay and Lundenburg also for going to our next place. Clean neat and tidy great shower all the amenities you need for a short stay!!

Absolutely beautiful place-being able to see it in fresh snowfall was breathtaking. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. It was fully equipped and well-kept - the office space was perfect for me to do some work while there and so much light came in during sunny days. Host was very communicative and friendly and wanted to make sure we got in okay and if we needed anything to reach out. I would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for being such lovely hosts! We immediately felt right at home. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It was a wonderful place to wake up to the snow. Thoughtful amenities, lots of space, comfortable places to eat, drink, read and watch Christmas movies. We didn't want to leave. So much generosity was extended to us due to the storm, and I look forward to returning! We very much were well taken care of.

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

A great place to relax and unwind. Hot tub was perfect and super clean. Host was very attentive.

My two kids and I stayed in Tee's place for a long weekend while visiting family nearby. It was just like the photos and in a lovely neighborhood. It was a little chilly to use the hot tub but we would most certainly use the back deck area in better weather. Tee was a friendly, helpful, and responsive host. HIghly recommend!

It was a special stay at Porters Peak! The surrounding nature was beautiful and so peaceful and quiet. A perfect place for outdoor lovers! We were lucky to have two sunny fall days and were even able to use the paddleboards at the lake. The site is still under development (for example there is no running water yet) which was totally okay for us because we love the minimalist off-grid style, but we found out through the comments of other visitors, not through the host. And it would be helpful to mention that a steep gravel road is leading to the cabins, so not possible with every car and every weather condition. It was nice that when we had a problem with the propane fireplace, someone came directly in the morning to fix it. Still a lovely place and a cool project! Would recommend and visit again!

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

Took an impromptu trip to NS for the weekend and lucked out with a vacancy at the Lakeside Lookout cabin. Very quiet, peaceful and serene surroundings made our stay more than enjoyable, topped off with a clean and welcoming cabin. Interested to see all the other things that they will build and do with this property. Will return in the future for sure.
