Nice neighbourhood, we slept well, mattresses and rooms were comfy. Flavia greeted us when we arrived and she is a very nice person. House is very “busy” when you enter the house you realize that the family lives in there when not rented which is ok. A lot of their personal belongings were still in the house, so don’t be surprised. other than that, it was quiet, we had all we needed to cook and rest. I would rent again.

This was my second time at Christopher's place. It was exactly as I needed. WHat stood out the most was the communication. Everything from it being exactly as listed, photos represented well, but the personal communication was always super quick. Sometimes almost felt like in real time. He was very accommodating with a personal request. I will definitely stay here again.

A perfect spot to stay for a couple of nights in Halifax. It felt like with a 10-15 minute drive you could get almost anywhere in Halifax from here, so a perfect location. We had our dog with us and the fenced back yard was perfect. There was a cute park just a 10 minute walk away that our dog loved. Very grateful for the ease of this spot!

Another great weekend at the Owl & Otter. We keep coming back! Clean, well appointed, comfortable and extra small touches like home baked goods upon arrival. It’s our go-to for our semi annual girls weekend and we can’t say enough positive things about the space and Emily.

Lots of extra touches. Wonderful welcome basket that even included dog toys and treats (including wine for the 2-legged guests). Loved having the washer/dryer to use (when you are travelling this is really nice). Overall very positive experience.

Kelly and Doris are incredibly friendly and quick to respond. Our stay was a last minute booking. Both kelly and Doris helped us feel right at home. The property is an Oasis. It has everything your family will need. The pictures do not do it justice. The quiet peacefulness you feel well sitting by the lake is everything you want and need. We will be coming back!

A great base for our weekend visiting friends and family in Bedford, Halifax, and Dartmouth. Very spacious accommodation with a full kitchen and a great deck. Loved all the fall colours and the quiet surroundings. Easy access to the airport for our very early flight. Everything was super clean and hosts were very responsive when we had questions. Would definitely recommend. We didn't bring any dogs on this trip but I love that the house was dog friendly.

We felt at home in Halifax at Pete's place, it was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable. Pete promptly answered our questions and let us check in early. Parking was easy in this quiet neighborhood that is still within walking distance from Hydrostone Market

Walking into this Airbnb, I was in totally AW! I travel often and can honestly say I found the best Airbnb so far, right here at home! Dan was an amazing host and has such great taste. From the furniture and decor to the ambience and music playing through the home when you enter, it doesn’t get more luxurious than this. Everything you could possibly need to cook a great meal. All of the space you could ask for if travelling with a group. Dan really allows his guests to feel right at home. In the study, there’s a drink station where you can make your own slushies, pop, tea and coffee. On the top floor, off the master bed, there is the most beautiful hottub with harbour views. This place is worth every single cent. Not a single complaint to be made here. This is most definitely a repeater and I highly recommend to absolutely anybody thinking about it. This space is by far the most amazing location I have stayed yet, the hosts are absolutely a joy to deal with, their dogs were great friends to my puppy. All that said I cannot stress enough how mind blowing this property is, it's a must rent spot if your in the area traveling or just a local looking for a retreat or a good location for group/family get together. My number is (sent in a chat because it wouldn't let me put it here) save it please and send me a text so I have yours and we will set up a 4 or 5 day adventure/family get together maybe late June or early July. and also if you ever need a custom table desk or any other type of furniture hardwood or hardwood/epoxy combination I would love to build something to show off in such an amazing space it would be good advertisement I would probably do something for cost if you were interested. Tanya and John were amazing hosts and we can’t wait to come back again! Tanya was very responsive and communicated with professionalism and always friendly. Everything was easy and I loved that there were clear instructions and labels all around the dome so it was easy to fine things. Glamping at the finest, just like you’re in a hotel. great host. the place was amazing. I did mess up by not reading close enough and book a place where it had people living upstairs, but it was my laziness and honestly the family were silent through the night. if you're staying somewhere for a week or more this place has everything you need. highly recommend

We had a lovely stay at this perfectly located, charming, and very comfortable house. Candace is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed!

The space is beautifully decorated, with a lovely terrace, garden and views of the ocean with the Halifax skyline. It was nice and roomy, clean and cozy. Marilyn was very friendly and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others :)

My friends and I stayed at Erin’s place for 4 days while visiting Nova Scotia and it was a very calm and peaceful stay just outside of Halifax with a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend going here if you want a nice peaceful stay near Halifax!
