Absolutely amazing! We had a beautiful few days at the safari tent - fantastic location - completely secluded, not another soul in sight. Some amazing walks straight from the tent, and lovely evenings spent sat on the veranda. Tent was super cosy with the log burner, and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

What a beautiful place. Truly magical spot, with a lot of love gone into it, and the yurt was incredibly cosy even in early March. The birdsong in the morning is incredible, the dogs are a lot of fun, the robins were very tame and cheeky. Tracey and family lovely, helpful and then left us to our own devices. The hot tub was a little difficult to get to the Goldilocks temperature but that’s the nature of wood fired. It was incredible to stream under the stars though. Beautiful place, five stars

The bell tents were lovely, very spacious with 5 beds inside and lots of lovely touches like tea lights and useful camping things you’d never think to bring. Thanks Nicky and the team for a lovely stay, highly recommended!

We’ve stayed in lots of safari tents over the years but Firs is one of the best sites we’ve visited. The cabin bed and den for smaller kids was superb. The whole place was fantastic and had everything we needed. The area was beautiful with lots to do and shops/pubs/park all within walking distance. Will definitely be visiting again. Simon was a brilliant host and gave us some great recommendations. 10/10

AMAZING STAY AT TRENOSA! The instructions to get there were very clear. The single track road was a bit daunting but very doable and the tent and especially the views are extremely worth it! The safari tent was definitely luxury camping but lacked some amenities, would definitely recommend bringing your own kitchen cloths, tea towels and handwash/bar soap and any toiletries you need. The hot water, amazing shower and kitchen were all great! The welcome hamper was a lovely touch with local cheeses and local eggs! The beds are super comfortable and we all had amazing sleeps. It can get really chilly at night but the duvets provided were lovely and cosy. The only downside if you're squeamish like we are was the insects, there are lots of spiders and earwigs in the tent but it definitely didn't ruin our stay. The views and privacy are so worth it! Just book this place! You definitely will not be sorry!!

This is such a beautiful spot. The pictures don't do the lodge justice and the hot tub is one of the best we've ever used! There was so much space for the boys to play outdoor games and it felt completely safe. The hot water bottle on each bed were a lovely (and welcomed!) touch as well 😊 We found a great chippy 5 minutes down the road and Oswestry was a short drive away.

Myself and my 2 boys (6 and 9) stayed over the August bank holiday while mum was in Greece! My 2 boys absolutely loved it. Adventures in the woods, den building, tool building, bug hunts, marshmallows over the fire, bbq breakfasts and dinners. A real lads and dad weekend. We usually just do normally camping but as mum was living it up in Greece we thought we’d push the boat out and the proper beds WITH electric blankets, underfloor heating and lighting made the stay so much more comfortable. A great weekend and I’m sure we’ll return as a family very soon. 10/10

My son and I wanted a camping trip without the hassle of taking our camping equipment with us on our motorbike. Frans camping setup was the perfect solution in lovely surroundings. Fran was a great host and made us feel very comfortable.

my partner and I stayed here for the evening. It was perfect. We had the perfect night, we stayed in the bell tent which was warm and cosy, had the perfect night's sleep, access to the out house with a fire where we had our evening meal (highly recommend the local Chinese. We also had access to the sauna and shower which topped off the weekend perfectly. lovely and clean, welcoming friendly host. cannot recommend enough, it was the ideal little break that we needed together. Myself, my partner and my son had a really wonderful stay in our bell tents. Sophie was an excellent host, really friendly, helpful and kind. We loved how away from everything we were, it felt like a nice adventure. My only suggestion to those wanting to stay is that it may be worth bringing airbeds also, as the camp beds aren’t the most comfortable if you struggle with back pain etc. My son put an airbed onto his camp bed and said it was super comfortable. Other than that, we loved our stay and had a great time. Thanks Sophie! X

What a beautiful set up and location!! Had a lovely, peaceful stay here. Everything was well thought out. The wild swim & sauna was a great experience, we really enjoyed staying here. And the homemade cookies on arrival were delicious!!

We had such a lovely evening. The tent itself was just perfect. A little mini pub with is all yours for the evening! Outdoor bath was a huge hit for us! Walks were beautiful Pubs we lovely Jim and his dog was so friendly! We can’t wait to visit again!

We had a lovely stay in Peter’s bell tent. Peter was lovely and came to meet us when we couldn’t find the right turn. He brought my little boy a water bottle to keep him toasty and made sure we had plenty of logs for the fire. Unfortunately it was an extremely windy night so we didn’t sleep too well but that is no reflection on Peter- the bed was very comfortable!

Beautiful well serviced cabin in tranquil spot , all you need for a stay in the area with easy driving and walking access to nearby sites of interest. Surprisingly warm for late October with a luxury feel provided with the outdoor Bath. Great host, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again

On arrival, there was a folder with info & a tablet for us to check in, get the WiFi & helpful links to local POI’s & activities. We also had some tasty treats waiting for us & the lights & radio were on which added to the welcoming ambience. Clean &tidy with blankets, robes and slippers to make yourself cosy. We were supplied with some wood for the burner & more could be purchased from the honesty shop near the entrance. We were supplied with a code to go in whenever we needed to collect more wood or food items. We just had to tick what we’d taken on the sheet & at the end of the stay, had a bill emailed to us. Only thing I’d say we found a little frustrating was that we were told we couldn’t light the burner on the day of departure as it got too hot for the cleaners. But at 6am at the end of October, it was cold! & the electric heaters didn’t kick out enough heat to warm the place up. But this wouldn’t stop me recommending it to others ☺️👍🏼 Thank you for a lovely stay 👍🏼

It is a lovely place for short trip. My doggy has a good sleep. There have enough space for dog play and run. Everything is good 👍🏻 Even October is windy months, it makes me feel like back to home. Nice! Thank you for everything. We really enjoy.☺️

We had a great stay at Little North Field. The accommodation has wooden floors and inner walls but the external walls and roof is canvas. When the temperature drops at night, the tent is kept warm by the wood burner fireplace. There is a weber provided and also a firepit outside. Accommodation comes with everything you need including wood and firelighters, fitted kitchen, tea/coffee/sugar etc, inside bathroom with good shower and comfortable bedding, towels and good furnishings with lots of personal little touches. The kitchen has 2 fast heating plates, but no oven. However, there is a microwave. There are also various outdoor games provided and an excellent flat lawn for children to play. One thing to be aware of depending on your network you might experience low reception (I have EE and it was fine but Vodafone seems to be patchy) and there is no wifi - so we had a very good digital detox for a few days :). There is also no TV which was great and we did not miss it in the slightest. Just bring your suitcase, book, camera, food and good campsite stories! Thanks Catherine and Tim!

Beautiful setting, really enjoyed our stay. It was such a shame that it chucked it down the whole time but we enjoyed it regardless. Lots of blankets, hot water bottles for if it got chilly! The only thing I can think of for improvement is it’s a bit slipper to walk down the hill to get to the toilet in rain!

We had a great stay at Huggeley Hall, Iain was a great host and very accommodating. We received plenty of useful information prior to our stay. Views from the property are stunning, the property itself more than matched our expectations which added to the unique off grid experience. Iain was always on hand if needed, we would highly recommend a stay here.

a lovely few days away - Janet's place is in a fab location, close to Chatsworth and many walks nearby. A beautiful spot if you're wanting pure relaxation, to indulge in simple pleasures and be close to gems of the peak district :)
