The stay was great. located in the small and remote island of Cabilao, the room offers you all you need for a basic stay at a reasonable price. you're located just 50 meters away from the nice beach. John, the host, was exceptional by being super responsive and helpful with helping organize transports to/from the island, tips, support you as a guest on basically any enquiry. textbook host 👍

Very reponsive on communicating

We had a fantastic stay on Cabilao! It was quiet, peaceful, and everyone was really friendly. Having the ocean so close was really nice. John was super responsive and always helpful and on top of anything we needed. If you’re looking for a secluded getaway, this might be it!

Nos ha encantado el alojamiento. Está en una zona tranquila, justo al lado de una cala, lo que lo hace perfecto para relajarse. Aunque está algo alejado de la ciudad, en la carretera cercana se pueden encontrar productos básicos. El estudio estaba impecablemente equipado con todo lo necesario para cocinar. Un lugar muy tranquilo y ideal para descansar. Además, Neil siempre respondía con rapidez y atención, lo que nos hizo sentir como en casa. ¡Gracias!

Die Unterkunft liegt wie beschrieben etwas ab des Trubels. Genau das was wir gesucht hatten! Mit den gemieteten Scootern waren wir sehr flexibel bei kleinen Ausflügen und Einkauf. Wir haben direkt am "Hausriff" fast jeden Tag geschnorchelt. Sehr schönes Riff und wir die einzigen Schnorchler - herrlich. Die Räume wurden regelmäßig gereinigt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Appartments haben kein Meerblick, auch wie beschrieben.

Bonjour, SUPER séjours nous avons passé 4 magnifique journées dans un très belle endroit ,dans une très belle chambre avec un super lit dotée d une vue paradisiaque sur la plage et ses bateaux de pêche typique avec des gens toujours souriants .Les hôtes ont été d une gentillesse rarement vue lors de nos voyages, toujours soucieux de notre bien être avec un sourire radieux sur le visage Un pur bonheur d avoir croisé cet endroit. JE RECOMMANDE VIVEMENT

The AC was not cooling but they fixed it immediately. The place is fine; it’s quiet, private and not many loud noises from the neighbors. But what i like the most is the hospitality of the staff— absolutely the greatest factor of my experience. I just forgot his name but kuya who drove me to the bus station, he’s a nice guy… and especially Ana! We were strangers but started talking like we were bestfriends on the new year’s eve. Nothing so much to say about the property as its nice enough for me and my budget as solo traveller. And they were so welcoming of my dog too! A great space to let my dog run around and play and sniff on almost every corner.

Overall, John's place was good value for money. Since I have lived in the same house for about 3 months in 2024 when it was owned by someone else, my expectations were lower, expecting it to be dated. Still, our stay was memorable and fun, celebrating 2025 New Year. The place was reasonably clean. It was fun to play with the Brunswick-brand billiard table and cook our own meals in the kitchen. Best experiences: night swimming in its pristine water at high tide; star gazing at the patio; and the sardine run nearby (10min leisurely walk from the beach house). The caretaker Mario was warm and very helpful. I also must note that the water supply and pressure was quite good, including for the bath shower, something that was quite challenging during my stay 10 years ago in 2014. I would highly recommend the place to you if you are not a fussy guest, expecting hotel-level quality. Do not sweat the small stuff and you can marvel at the unique beauty of its natural environment. I had an absolutely wonderful time at Bitoon Resthouse. I could write an entire essay of how great it was. The place is so peaceful and relaxing. Caretakers sir Nilo and ma'am Loraine made me feel right at home upon arrival. They were so proactive whenever I had a favor to ask. They are both ever so present if necessary and yet so discreet and respectful of the need for privacy. The beach located a few steps from the house remains raw. When the tide is low I could take a walk along the receded coastline which is teaming with life and bedecked with beautiful shells that one can no longer find in other more developed beaches. Perched on the sea wall as I waited for sunrise, I saw a tiny bump of what I believe to be a whaleshark breaking the surface. I'm not a pool person so I can't say how it is. But I can say, the pool is cleaned, filled in, filtered and maintained by sir Nilo at least twice a day. Actually, the entire place is clean and spotless. All amenities are in working condition

the villa was actually even better than on the photos, very beautiful and spacious. great swimming pool and garden. there is staff on site if you need any help.

The place is wonderful and has a cozy, homey feel. The caretakers are friendly and approachable. However, the pool needs repairs, the tiles are damaged and removed, which makes it unsafe for swimming. The kids got cuts on their feet while using the pool, so the tiles should be replaced for safety reasons. Overall, we had a great stay there.

We book this property having all our 5 grandchildren. Our grandchildren loved the property they were playing outdoor all the time since the house is gated. Our teenage grandchildren visits the Cuartel Ruins every night to try all the different night market street food. My ultimate favorite food must try is Kwek Kwek. We were there during the Halloween so the whole street is covered with flowers, candles, toys and street food vendor so much going on. We come to find out right in front of the property has a ferry that leaves every morning to Panglao Island Bohol. We are planning of going back there to visit Bohol on our next trip. The house has a full kitchen so we can cook anytime we wanted to and there is a Jamaican Restaurant next door, good food and dirt cheap. Shout out to the amazing caretaker that help us anything we needed from needing more towels and toiletries. If you are looking a place that feels like home this is it, there is a Lanai in every door the view isamazing

Sehr schönes Haus, mit tollem Pool direkt am Meer, von hier aus kann man gut Ausflüge ins Landesinnere unternehmen, z.B. zu den Chocolate Hills oder den Tarsier Reservat fahren. Das Haus ist super Ausgestattet, man kann sich also wie zuhause fühlen auch an Snacks und Getränke wurde gedacht und man kann diese zu einem sehr fairen Preis einfach aus dem Kühlschrank nehmen. Von der Dachterasse kann man neben dem Sonnenaufgang auch wunderbar die Schildkröten in der kleinen Bucht vor dem Haus beobachten.

Peaceful and Private, if you are looking for a family get together this is the place. You have the whole house and the place is immaculate. We have the grandchildren with us and they definitely had a blast and our kids are having a great time cooking their favorite dishes to share. The house have the full kitchen comes with everything you needed, there is an outdoor grill to enjoy as well. Grandkids were busy swimming and were thrilled to see the giant turtle swimming with them. Carlos who manage the property was accessible and accommodating, never bothers us and let us enjoy our privacy, but if we needed anything he will be right their in less than a minute. Karaoke is a bonus everybody were having a good time singing while relaxing at night, we love the outdoor kitchen having meals outdoor with an amazing view in the ocean and hearing serene small gentle waves at all times. The place exceeded our expectations, the market is a litte ways so buy your food ahead of time.
