We walked in and the Christmas tree lights were on and Christmas music was playing. It was lovely. It's a beautiful home and very cozy. Having a bedroom and full bath downstairs makes a difference for many of us (young and older) who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the second floor. This location is nice and quiet yet close to all the essentials. I spoke with Dottie before our stay and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. Thank you again Dottie! Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

This must be one of the best air bnb’s that we stayed at. Lovely home , beautiful surroundings,close to Acadia national park and bar harbor. We would definitely be back next year and would recommend this to our family and friends.

Such a magical, historical and peaceful place. It was nice seeing Acadia but we couldn’t wait to get away from the crowds and back to the quiet of this beautiful place. Thank you Brady!

The view was amazing! Waking up to a beautiful sunrise and laying down and watching a gorgeous sunset was easily one of the best things about the trip. The sound of the waves crashing and sounds of nature were serene. The weather was beautiful which helped take all of this in.

Right from the beginning of the booking, the experience was exceptional. Communication was great, house was perfectly set-up, clean and peaceful! All of the amenities, furniture, and furnishings in the home were perfect for a lake house! Little details were thought of by the hosts —even a bouquet of flowers. Highly recommend this space for families who want a peaceful and spread out home for their family but also great spaces to bring everyone together. Truly an exceptional experience in all areas.

I could not overstate the beauty and peacefulness of this location. Good proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia but private with stunning views. The description and photos are accurate, we found the host responsive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Our family had a lovely stay at the Lupine Cottage. Such a peaceful spot. We enjoyed getting out on the water in the kayaks and sitting out in the Adirondack chairs listening to the loons and barred owls call. Nice central location for exploring Acadia and the mid coast. Great person, she really went over and above what she would have been expected. The dock with boats were great, my boys love the lake. The place was clean and very well decorated. Lots of extra appliances. Washer and dryer is very nice when you are on a lake. Nothing to complain about. If you stay here and especially if you have kids you will be very happy.

This is a very comfortable and peaceful place to stay and the view is amazing. When you walk into the living room, it feels like you’re right on top of the lake. The lake is really only a few feet away and the neighborhood is definitely walkable. We went for a quiet weekend away but if we had wanted to canoe, kayak, fish, grill or whatever, it seemed like everything was there for us to use. I was very impressed with the host and all the amenities. Robert is very friendly and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time on the lake and would definitely recommend staying here. We were talking about coming back again but next time with our kids. Thank you Robert!

I spent a week at this beautiful little cabin with my two grandchildren. It was the perfect size and looks just as beautiful as the pictures inside and out. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the beds were very comfortable. The lake can be seen from the cabin and we enjoyed the dock for fishing and watching the ducks. It’s very close to town for groceries etc but very quiet and peaceful on a dead end street. Jason was very welcoming and always available for questions and quick to respond. The only thing that would have made it better for my grandkids is if there was easier access for getting into the lake with a a little beach area or a lawn that went down to the water. But if you want a quiet get away in beautiful surroundings don’t hesitate.

Great location right on the lake! Great for a small group of family. 2 privated bedrooms and an open loft with 2 twin beds.

Walking and sun rises were wonderful. The cabin was clean and welcoming! Very quiet and peaceful. The only detail that would enhance the stay and departure is not having your guest do house keeping ( putting dishes away, stripping beds and starting laundry) though house keeping charges were included.

We had an amazing stay at this place. Felt like home from home. Got to spend quality time with family in the area. The weather wasn’t great but it’s Maine in Winter. Shelby was great about sending someone out to plow & sand the road to the property whilst we were there. We would definitely stay here again!

Had an awesome time. Place was private but still close to stores and town. Super clean inside and full of things to do, nice tv, back patio was beautiful to look out at anytime of time of the day. Connor was very quick for responses and awesome to have as a host. 10/10 would recommend seriously can’t think of a single complaint.

Our stay at Patty’s place was great. The cabin is very cozy and extremely comfortable. The place has a great hot water heater which allowed our group to shower after visiting the park while others made dinner. It’s definitely a bit of a drive from Acadia, but Patty definitely makes this clear in the description. Overall, a fantastic stay. Could not recommend this place enough.

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

The location is magical . Loved waking up and seeing the scenery. The trail was really well maintained given all the snow. We've had a wonderful hike to the pond seeing only nature, not one person on the trail. It was fun stopping and trying to identify all kinds of animal tracks along the path. We are thinking of coming back in the spring or summer. Thank you for muffins Toby and Peter!!!

Comfy little cabin in the woods! We enjoyed having a fire in the fire place as it got pretty chilly at night. Relaxed in the screen room and played games one afternoon. The bed was comfortable and the view waking up in the morning was wonderful! Loved the LED mirror! Close to Belfast…we went to the indoor farmers market there on Saturday. Lots of goodies, and a nice view of the bay. We parked down at the mill one day and visited The Lost Kitchen venue. Then walked down to the Hills to Sea trail entrance and enjoyed a lovely walk thru the woods. Never did get to use the kayaks. The walk up and back to the lake might be a bit steep for some so just a heads up on that. Dan and Julia were very communicative and they provided binders with lots of local information. Nice and peaceful escape! Thanks so much!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The location was fantastic, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the comfort of the house exceeded my expectations. The view was stunning, and I loved how the house was fully equipped with everything I needed. It truly felt like a home away from home.
