My husband and I came here for our 7 year anniversary. It was lovely and peaceful. I love the imperfections of the old cottage and its cleanliness. The hot tub, kayaks, and views are lovely The kitchen was adequately stocked and beds were clean and comfy. Shower was large and hot and the washer and dryer were very helpful! The house was stocked with everything needed. We will definitely be back. The town of Mentone was just down the road and we loved the areas. There was even a gas station at the end of the street that was very convenient as well! No regrets! Just a lovely vibe and great getaway destination!

We stayed here for my daughter’s spring break and had a great weekend! The hot tub was great and we toasted s’mores in the fire pit in the back. We also went and visited DeSoto Park just a short drive away for a fun day of hiking and hit up Mentone Market for some pizza afterwards. Such a great place for a relaxing getaway!

The NEW Overlook was the absolute perfect retreat from my hectic life back home, and just what I needed. I could not have asked for a more perfect accommodation or more perfect location. The view is breathtaking from sunrise to sunset. I experienced some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life from the hot tub on the back deck. Incredible! Although there are cabins on either side of the house, it is still so private. I love that you’re far enough away from things to feel so removed, yet only a 10-minute drive to charming Mentone. One thing to note: if you need any special provisions (gluten-free etc), I would highly recommend bringing those with you, as Mentone has very little. Back to the house: the kitchen was very well-appointed and lacked nothing. I loved the living room fire place, as well as the fire pit outside (reminder: pack your own firewood). I actually loved my stay so much I extended and I cannot wait to return soon!

The house was all we were looking for, cozy, private, peacefully and very clean. Stacey was very friendly and she responded very quickly. I would definitely recommend and stay again at stacey place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! What a perfect mountain getaway - we can’t wait to come back. The house is beautiful and comes with everything you need. Denise thought of everything to make us feel comfortable and is an exceptional host. We greatly appreciated her guidance and responsiveness during our stay.

Only got to spend one night, Was in town for work. The power went out and Danielle was quick to respond. Would like to stay here again when I am back in town.

We were only there for 5hrs to sleep and get up early to fish but it was a great price and convenient

This is the second time in a few months we stayed here, so everything from my first glowing review applies! Perfect location right in Fort Payne but with total privacy and seclusion surrounded by the woods. Fast internet, clean and cozy on the inside, fast and easy communication with the hosts. Would love to stay again some time!

I needed a place to stay while in town for a close friends wedding. The location was perfect and it was close to everything needed. James and Angela made everything so easy and I am thankful they opened up their place to me. Also, if you are into outdoor recreation, it is close (10 minutes) to Cloud Canyon State Park which showcases some of the best hiking and waterfalls North Georgia has to offer. Trenton is a great place.

Our stay at The Garden Cottage was so peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was great for cooking our own meals, the bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub was fabulous. It had all of the amenities of home. The location was perfect for visiting DeSoto State Park and DeSoto Falls. I wish the gardens had been in bloom, but that was due to the time of year we visited. The grounds would be so beautiful in the spring, summer, and fall with so many places to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The fenced in space for our pup was an added bonus. We would definitely visit The Garden Cottage again!

This was our second time here and it is so peaceful, clean homey and inviting. You will not be sorry you stayed here! Best place I’ve stayed. Well stocked kitchen, and so many little touches that are sooo nice.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very neat and the hot tub was a great bonus. Also, the whole area is private and cozy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Claudia did a great job of staying in touch with us when needed.

The cottage was so relaxing and perfect for our trip. We traveled to Trenton to visit with my son, who is attending SLTC and wanted a place to hangout like we were home. The extras provided we so appreciated and it was nice to chill. There isn’t a lot to do in Trenton, and the restaurants are limited—but we didn’t mind to cook. The firepit was great, such a peaceful setting. Don’t hesitate to book, I’d stay here again without hesitation!
