we very much enjoyed our stay at rachel’s. it was so nice to be right on the water, look at and listen to the waves, and watch the birds fishing. the house was very comfortable—more than enough room for the two of us. we liked having a fire in the fireplace and in the outdoor pit. and we saw some excellent fossils in the big rocks on the beach! rachel and shelly are exceedingly responsive to any questions or queries. if you ever have an issue, they will do their best to resolve it. we would happily stay at this house again!

Perfect quiet place for a weekend get away. Lots of stuff to do and see in the area. We drove about an hour north and saw some cool waterfalls. Also had some really good food in Escanaba - Rosy’s Diner and Mo’s Pub were both great places to eat.

We spent a long weekend here over the Thanksgiving holiday. The property is exactly as pictured and we had plenty of space for our group of 8. Beautiful views and the home was outfitted with everything we needed. Would highly recommend this rental and looking forward to coming back to enjoy during warmer weather.

This house is inviting with the most beautifully expansive views thanks to all of the windows. The dining and living room areas are actually walls of windows!! Just lovely!! But there is privacy with the easy to maneuver blinds. Plenty of fresh linens. Large beautiful kitchen. Plenty of space and cozy bedrooms as well! Phil was a great host, responding quickly and so very helpful. So very hospitable and friendly!! A MUST STAY!!

Our family vacation was absolutely what we wanted on Washington Island, and especially at Essa's home! We wanted a quiet, relaxing place, and we definitely got that. We seriously felt like we were on a secluded island....didn't see one person until we drove to the other side of the island! If you are looking for a place to get away from the everyday hustle of life, Essa's place is where it's at. We got up in the mornings and had coffee and read on the 4 season's porch, sat on the beach, played games, watched movies, and had bonfires in the evening. The only bad thing....the week went to quickly!!!!

This was probably the best place we have stayed in for years. Clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Big yard right on the water. Kayaks, bikes, fishing poles, and a great deck. That is just some of the outdoor fun. We really enjoyed our stay and Dawn and Brian were AMAZING hosts.

Stayed here for our 5th year in a row for our annual ice fishing trip, Monica and Morley are excellent hosts and have always been great to us, would recommend to anyone!

This is a charming place right on the lake. Great location for kids (shallow and gradual water depth in the lake). It can be difficult to find, so map it out ahead of time. Get gas at the nearest town before attempting to find it. The outside furniture is dated and could use an upgrade. The all weather outdoor cushions should probably be put away and brought out per use (so they stay nice). A propane fireplace on the deck would be a step up. Overall, I was happy with my stay. I hope to bring my family here again. There are other neighbors and houses next door to this place. I was unaware of this when booking. It wasn't an issue. but if you are expecting complete solitude-keep in mind that you will have neighbors. There is only one bathroom and the shower head pressure is weak. We love our showers, so we were a little bit dissapointed with that. Great location and a wonderful array of water toys (SUP boards, kayaks, peddle boat, and skif).

The location was great for us. The space was prefect, exactly as described. Would most definitely stay again!!

Lakeshore Suites was a great place for our family to stay with our two corgis. It was close to everything we were in the area for and so much better than staying in a hotel. Lakeshore Suites will be at the top of our list for our future visits!

This place was the perfect little retreat! Close enough to the city for any of my needs, but tucked away from the traffic and the main road through town. The lake was right across the street, and the units were very clean and well situated, as was the outside common area. My unit had everything that I needed for the perfect weekend! I can't wait to return!

Very nice, small, and cozy place to stay. Not much room for more than one, but as a solo trip it’s definitely worth it. Has everything I could need and some.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here! the hosts were very responsive and friendly. The location is amazing! we walked the park and beach every day. The kitchen was very handy so we prepare meals at our stay. Also, it's so wonderful that they are dog friendly.

We were up to fish. We couldn't get one of Willard's cabins, but he helped us with this place and was flexible with having our boat on location. Finally met Willard after multiple trips to one of his places. Great help and great person to meet. We look forward to returning soon!

We came as a family of 12 and it can be difficult to accommodate all of us! This house worked great! The view out front is amazing, Lake Michigan! It was October so it was cold and windy so we weren't able to spend time outdoors here but we did lots of hiking and sight seeing so it was no problem. The large garage is a fantastic place for everyone to hang out and great for a place for the grandkids to have fun. We'd highly recommend this property! Very responsive hosts!! Thank you!

We had such a great time during our stay at Twin Oaks. With three children 4 and under, there were plenty of spaces to sleep and play. The park is literally right across the street, as well as the beach, so the location was incredibly convenient. Made for lots of easy playtimes. Barbara was very accommodating and helpful in insuring we had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay here again - our 4 year old has been asking if we could book this place again for the fall ha! Overall, this was an ideal place for our family and helped make our trip as wonderful as it was. Thank you, Barbara!

My husband, toddler, dog, and I loved our stay here. The sunsets here were so beautiful! The cottage felt like home & all the antique decor added so much charm. Check in was easy & Alexandra provided a lot of information on what to do in Door County.

A perfect cottage for our winter get-a-way. I can imagine it’s even more beautiful in summer. The Cottage is clean, creative and cozy with a large space for gathering, cooking and dining. The property is private, gorgeous and on the edge of Lake Michigan. Our Hosts offered everything we needed and more. Thank you for sharing your space! Highly recommend.

Our stay here was beautiful and peaceful. We explored the waters with the canoe and kayaks, fished on the row boat, saw amazing wildlife(sandhill cranes, bald eagles, wild turkey, and deer), relaxed in the sauna, and enjoyed many meals and games together. We also ventured out for a day in Munising for the Pictured Rocks boat tour and another day to Marquette to visit Presque Isle. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and helpful as well!

We stayed here for a family snowmobile weekend in February and it was exactly what we wanted. Very nice place right on the lake and close to the snowmobile trail. Close to Midway General Store and a short drive to Kitchitikipi and Munising. Loved the Knotty Pine and Up North feel of the cabin. Jacqueline was very responsive and left detailed directions and recommendations. Would highly recommend.

Of 6 years of staying at many Airbnbs, Jake has been the best host by far. He is always responsive, flexible, and accommodating. He frequently goes above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable stay. This is my 3rd stay ( we are planing our fall trip now.) Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, on an incredible bay, on Washington Island!
