Gorgeous place to stay. Views from every window. Expect family ducks, chickens and peacock to pay you a visit, and if you hear snoring, it’s probably the large pig outside the window!

We had a wonderful time at Callow Barn and can’t wait to return! The location was idyllic with the most magnificent views. The house itself was beautifully furnished and so comfortable. And an amazing selection of walks right on the doorstep. We felt really privileged to be there 😊

A lovely quiet location as a base to explore the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage is very cosy with everything you could want for your stay. Lots of walks right from the front door, including the Tissington Trail that takes you into Ashbourne, and a pub just minutes away on foot. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

Fantastic stay! Plenty of space to spread out, everything was provided and the house was immaculate, clean & toasty warm. Lovely welcome basket and great recommendations and advice (great meal at the Crown & Anchor & stunning walk to the secret waterfall!) Kids could have stayed on the trampoline all day, adults in the hot tub :) Highly recommend if looking for a cosy home with easy access to Peak District.

What an amazing place. Exactly as described. Lovely welcoming touches such as coffee/tea, etc and cheeky bottle of wine! Perfect for our little getaway trip to climb Kinder Scout and explore the nearby B29 bomber plane wreckage. We were a couple and a teenager and dog. Great, unique accommodation and had everything we needed, including amazing underfloor heating in the shower room to soothe our aching feet! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to explore this area of the Peaks.

Lovely clean gorgeous barn, ideal location with everything we needed to spend the weekend without leaving but equally we enjoyed walking to two local pubs. Adam communicated well and was accommodating to our needs. Perfect weekend break

Even though we forgot to write in the guest book, sorry, this is worthy of a review. The barn was exactly as described and was perfect for a chilled weekend away. We ventured out into Hinckley but could easily have stayed at the beautiful barn all weekend. Sharron and Mark were easy to communicate with and provided everything needed, thank you. The Easter eggs were an added bonus and we appreciated the cleanliness and instructions inside the barn. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax and unwind, and all the arrangements were thoughtful and well-organised. We specially loved the swing with its beautiful views, such a peaceful place to enjoy the quietness and views. The Extras option was a great help. Kate was an extremely cooperative host. Highly recommended!

Me and a large group of friends stayed over for two nights for our annual post-grad meet. From the get go, Alice was very friendly and responsive and assured us a smooth beginning to our stay. Upon arriving, they had left a care package including milk and other groceries which was a nice touch, allowing us to feel at home straight away. The building was in great condition and it is clear that it is well-looked after. It felt comfortable and private and allowed us to enjoy the trip for what it was. I would definitely recommend here to any friends and family, especially those in larger groups. Thanks again for having us!

Stayed overnight in April ‘25. The place was faultlessly clean and tidy (i’ve never stayed at an airbnb which was this clean!), presentation absolutely impeccable and a wonderful comfortable stay overall. The surroundings are idyllic and peaceful and we particularly enjoyed being so close to the herd of cows just over the cattle grid. Julian was friendly and responsive to messages - some bedding we expected to be present was missing on arrival but this was quickly resolved without any issue at all.

An absolute gem. My second visit and just as gorgeous as I remembered. The location is so pretty and it's tucked away in a quiet corner. The orchard was just coming into blossom and the trees were full of bird song. Drift View is a gorgeous and well equipped shepherd's hut with real character. Probably the best bathroom I've seen in this type of property and the bed is so comfortable. A lovely private outside space with a fabulous view. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at leger lakes. It's run by very professional and friendly hosts. It was easy to find and perfectly clean on arrival with a key safe on site. Therefore check I'm was easy. The space was big enough to enjoy a few days and really all we needed it to be. It was just as the photos showed. Be sure to visit the cafe on site it's fabulous 👌! We took amenities with us and ended up taking all the breakfast bits home because Micks breakfasts were too good! Highly recommend his waffles 😁 Really no negatives about this place lovely spot for some walking, fishing or both.

Simon is a great host. Usually responds within 5-10 minutes with messaging. He is very knowledgeable and Friendly. The surrounding areas are farmland and hills with sheep, horses, and cattle. It is all very beautiful, including a very close-by footpath that overlooks a good bit of it. The area is very quiet also. Walking into town has some really nice views along the way and is approximately 20 minutes. The nearby town is holmfirth which has cafes all over, restaurants, bakeries, and large and small food shops. The drive in is very short and finding parking is only a challenge at busier times of day. Loved it. The flat has everything you’d need in it. It has a big comfortable bed. The views from the flat are exceptional and it is so restfully quiet inside. There was rarely much noise at all from outside unless a bird was perched really close by. There is no microwave in the kitchen but Simon let me borrow his because as i need one to live. Highly recommend.

We had a great 2 day stay, were made very welcome and everything explained perfectly. The kids really enjoyed the pool, however, the hot tub location is around a very windy corner and away from the house, so we didn't use it. The location is definitely a place to totally relax and unwind with lots of space to enjoy just being together with family or friends. The kitchen facilities were fantastic, everything you could ever need! Even a lovely home made cake for our arrival. Host was readily available to answer any questions and advice regarding places to visit. Clean towels and pool towels were provided beds and linen were of good quality and very comfortable. We will definitely consider another visit.

We have just returned from a fantastic visit to Ashover. The studio was clean and well equipped with everything you could need. The views from the property are stunning - perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset. Dominic and Jane were friendly and welcoming. They were able to recommend suitable walks for us with our dog and some dog friendly pubs and restaurants. We were looking for a peaceful getaway and that’s exactly what we got. Thank you.

The place was so amazing, the bedrooms are big enough, the house was clean, all house appliances did work well nothing to complain about, the WiFi speed was great, one of the best airbnb accommodation so far, Tracey and her husband were so helpful and responsive, will definitely recommend it for others and we shall book it again.

We had a super stay at the Gatehouse Cottage with my mother who has mobility issues. The accommodation was perfect for the 3 of us and mum really enjoyed her stay. Everything was just perfect and as described , with super nice touches like the fantastic homemade cakes and jams. Lesley and Graham were always on hand to ensure we where all ok but not too intrusive. They where Super host and have a lovely cottage. We would highly recommend Gatehouse Cottage and it will definitely first on our list when looking to stay in the area again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Paul, Anne and Joyce.

Had a wonderful stay in the Milking Parlour, everything was spot on! Very comfortable and cosy space with all the essential amenities. We loved the farm and looking out over the goats, sheep and chickens and across the beautiful countryside of the Peak District. Had a lovely dinner in the nearby Packhorse Inn which we booked in advance. Julia was a great host, we highly recommend the Milking Parlour.

The perfect sweet spot of isolation and there being a Sainsburys 15 minutes drive away. Good proximity to Matlock baths yet good seclusion levels for privacy. Very tidy and really nice bed linen! Helpful host. Thanks

It was a quick couple of days stay in a very cute accommodation and the scenery was outstanding. Karen greeted us on arrival and offered us milk for a nice cup of tea. Would highly recommend for a quick getaway in the countryside and close enough to town.
