Derbyshire : locations de vacances avec salon de jardin

We live in Australia and headed back to the UK. We wanted to catch up with old friends and this was the perfect place. Rooms were big and comfy and quiet. Living space was great for the size of our group. We went in December so didn’t use the outside space much but I imagine at other times of the year the garden would be amazing. Dave and Katie’s cottage is highly recommended. There were just four of us but it would have easily accommodated 6 adults in three rooms. All the facilities were good quality and the cottage was well equipped with lots of cooking equipment, Bluetooth speakers, lovely soft thick towels, comfortable mattresses, lots of wardrobe and drawer space for clothes etc etc. Getting access to the cottage was easy with a key safe. Dave and Katie responded quickly to messages and were very helpful when we needed a chemist. The location is excellent in the lovely village of Hartington with two pubs, a tea room, a general store and a cheese shop. There are walks from the house to nearby Milldale and Dovedale and the Tissington Trail is nearby.

Lucy was great - always responsive and helpful/clear with instructions. The place itself was fantastic, I was there with my wife, brother and some friends over New Year, and we were very comfortable. We had our dogs as well, who loved the garden! (Though note that the garden is not fully enclosed). We had a wonderful time - thanks Lucy!

We had a great stay at Benjamin’s house. Comfortably accommodated 7 adults and 4 children. Benjamin’s communication was excellent throughout. The house is lovely and the photos don’t do justice to the amount of space. Very well equipped. Bakewell town centre is under 5 minutes walk away. Playground and pub also very close. Located on a quiet cul de sac with enough space on the drive for three cars. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay. The hot tub was lovely and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We would definitely book again.

Home from home. Ideal base for the Midlands. Extremely comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful private garden. We highly recommend staying there.

As a large group of 24 people this accommodation was the perfect set-up. The surroundings are beautiful and a very convenient distance from Sheffield city centre. Debbie was an excellent host - very responsive and friendly and thoroughly helpful in helping with the logistical arrangements with a large group (for example helping with taxi’s or offering their minibus service) which was massively appreciated. It was wonderful to learn about how revenue from this accommodation is reinvested into charitable activities for getting young people involved in outdoor pursuit activities.

Beautiful, relaxing stay at Ryelands Lodge, absolutely stunning property with amazing surroundings, was perfect for a relaxed girly night away! The property had everything we needed and more! Will definitely visit again!

Very recommended. Welcoming and very friendly hosts. Clean and spacious apartment. Many things available in the apartment: biscuits, minced pie, coffee, tea, walking guides and maps,... Close to very beautiful Peak District spots.

Sadly we could not stay longer but will be back. Recomended

Lovely little studio with everything we needed for a quiet couple of days, including breakfast, biscuits and some decent wine and beer in the fridge (along with reasonable prices and an honesty box). Comfortable bed, and a picture window over the garden, clear instructions and easy free parking. Nicely located too. We would love to return!

Charlotte is a fantastic host - very welcoming and has a fabulous apartment with quality amenities. Had everything we needed for our stay and more. Castleton is a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. Highly recommended.

We had a perfect stay in this lovely studio apartment. Very quiet in a leafy road within walking distance to all the conveniences of Buxton. Parking was easy in the driveway. Access through a separate entrance adjoined to a main property. Upon entering there was a shoe rack which was handy for muddy footwear before ascending the set of stairs to the studio. The apartment contained everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. A separate sofa area for reading, watching TV etc, a kitchen to cook your own meals if required. Welcome gifts were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. The shower was powerful and hot. I can only imagine this studio must have a lot of returning guests because we couldn’t fault anything and definitely hope to return soon. The surrounding area has many walks from Buxton itself and within a short drive. We also visited Lyme Park which is worth the 30 min drive.

My partner and I booked to stay here for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it! The air BnB was very clean and we had every single amenity you could think of including fresh bread which we had for breakfast! There were also board games, books and lots of toiletries which were such thoughtful extras. Heating was on regularly so it was nice and toasty, and we both slept so well for both nights of our stay as the bed was so comfy - we both came away for some peace and quiet so we honestly couldn’t have wished for more! Lisa was also very quick at responding and gave us all the information and more for check in, would definitely recommend staying here ❤️

Our stay in Jo and John’s flat was just what we needed and we had a lovely 5 days there. The flat is comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished. It is right in the middle of town and central to the Peak District walks and places of interest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made the most of our time there. Thank you.

Sarah’s place was immaculate with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was brilliant with everything you need . Lovely touches also such as Milk, water and biscuits on arrival. Easy to walk into town. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Maureen was a great host and even provided recommendations of restaurants and activities. Fantastic location for the sites and walks whilst also peaceful. Will definitely book again.

What a fabulous gem nestled in the stunning Derbyshire countryside! Wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home, perfectly equipped accommodation and perfect for a stay with the dogs! The enclosed dog paddock was wonderful with enough room for them to run and play safely. The yoga studio was a beautiful place to practice and a real bonus to the stay. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!

We stayed at Angus’ place for a little getaway, and it was one of the best breaks we’ve had in a while. The apartment shone for its attention to detail and beautiful interiors, it was well equipped and felt like a home away from home. Angus was always easy to reach for any help needed and happily gave recommendations and helped me navigate things around my health condition. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks Angus 😊

We had a lovely stay at Stephen’s apartment quiet location, warm & comfortable. Five minute walk to the trams so handy access to any part of Nottingham. Would recommend 🙂

Garden Retreat is a lovely ground floor apartment with direct access to a lovely garden. The property was spotlessly clean with lots of additional touches such as phone chargers and torch. It was actually larger than I expected. It was comfortable with everything I could need and more. A large kitchen, comfortable lounge and quiet bedroom. The shower is blissful! Jonathan is lovely, welcoming but also respectful of privacy. There if needed. It’s about a 25 minute easy walk into Belper with its shops and eateries. Lots of great walks from the apartment and Belper. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit with my two dogs. I do hope I can visit again.

Spent a long weekend walking in the Peak District with my daughter. Richard is an excellent host who responds quickly. The place is as described, clean, quiet and provides everything in terms of kitchen equipment to make our meals during the time we spent there. The property provides everything needed for a home from home stay. There is a large Tesco and CO-OP in Whaley Bridge. We enjoyed walking Stanage Edge, Jacobs Ladder & Kinder Scout. Bugsworth Basin also provided a lovely flat canal side walk on Monday before our return home. Recommend Bridge Bakery in Whaley Bridge for great selection of post walk cakes, and they also have a really good selection of breakfast in a box.

Welcoming host, good location for our trip, thoughtful welcome package of essentials and some treats! Clean and well equipped. Great for dogs with a secure garden straight out of the apartment door.
