Derwent Reservoir : locations de vacances

We spoke to Janice a few times whilst we were at the cottage. Janice was lovely, extra friendly and very accommodating. We’ve visited previously and will be back very soon.

We stayed here for a family get together, there was 16 of us, but it felt like there was plenty of space and lots to do in the house. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfy and the hot tub was lovely after a day of walking. Highly recommend!

The house was stunning. Exactly like the pictures. Perfect for what we needed. The bedrooms were large and all ensuite. They provided robes and towels which was useful. Also provided everything we needed in the kitchen, washing up liquid, pots, pans, plates, dishwasher tablets etc. Great location. Was about a 40 minute walk to bowness on Windermere where there's plenty of bars, restaurants and activities.

We had an incredible stay at Francesca’s beautiful home! The design of the house is simply gorgeous, with stunning house plants throughout. The garden is both spacious and private—a perfect escape. The highlight for our boys was definitely the natural pool. Even when the temperature was only 18-20 degrees, they were still eager to jump in and swim. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, fully stocked with everything you could need—there’s even a coffee machine and a blender, plus every spice imaginable! A sweet little surprise was the rabbit on the balcony, which our boys adored—though our dog had a bit of an adjustment period and barked at it for the first day or so. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Francesca, for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We had a lovely stay at Ebenezer house! Alex and Olivia were great hosts who were in touch with clear instructions and also some local recommendations. The house was literally a 30 second walk from the beach which was great for all. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 kids and a golden retriever- the home was so spacious and despite our chaos felt there was plenty of room for everyone! We saw some beautiful sunrises and there were kid and dog friendly pubs. New Biggin was also really close to some other stunning bays and beaches- creswell and druridge both so clean and gorgeous! We really enjoyed our stay in the pods and had such a relaxing time! They were super clean and beautiful inside with everything you could need in the kitchen and also had amazing views outside where our dog loved to look through the window. We especially loved how peaceful it was and the TV was an added bonus to relax at night. The location was great, it wasn’t far from Durham for a day trip and lots of local pubs/restaurants a ten minute drive away. Lucy was the perfect host and even let check in early/out late, her communication was top draw and she was super responsive but really appreciated how she left us to our own devices. Would love to stay in Summer and experience the outside a bit more, highly recommend 🙂 thanks again for an amazing stay!
