We needed three bedrooms for our stay, and Ian offered two separate units: the Zen Suite (one bedroom) located above the Cook Suite (two bedrooms). Each suite has its own separate entrance, which was OK with us. Both suites were clean and comfortable, and I particularly liked the interior design. The Zen Suite also had a hot tub on the large patio, which was a highlight of our stay. Check-in was easy. There's a nice grocery store just across the street and several restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay!

Kristina is a very thoughtful, friendly and patient person. The house is clean and nice. When I was living there, I felt I was home. Highly recommend!

Convenient arrival with secure gated parking and elevator up to the penthouse. Gorgeous interior, well appointed. Beautiful views of the skyline and local artistic murals. Fully stocked kitchen with high end finish and everything you would need to cook a meal. Plenty of closet space with hangers provided, dresser, washer/dryer and consumables. Amazing jet tub and showers, bonus steam sauna. Absolutely luxe- would not hesitate to book again, hoping to be back in the area for another stay.

The kitchen was fully equipped, which made cooking my favorite meals a breeze. What truly set this experience apart was the location. Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, I could easily access local shops, restaurants, and parks. Communication was seamless throughout my stay; Barbara Jean was always just a message away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about her guests' experience! Overall, my long-term stay at this Airbnb exceeded all my expectations. We had a wonderful staycation here. The house was clean and in a great location. The hot tub and peaceful backyard were a highlight for us. Ian was very responsive and kind, simple check in and out, we would definitely stay again!

If you're planning a trip to Ann Arbor and you're reading this review and the dates are available, then you can stop looking because you just found your new home away from home! First of all, Jean's place has everything you're looking for: comfort, space, amenities (did you see the sauna?? And don't get me started about the water pressure in those showers!), peace and quiet surrounded by nature, close drive to all of the nearby towns, delightfully decorated (I was especially fond of her many plants), and well supplied. Second of all, Jean herself is an absolute joy and if you have a chance to meet with her when you arrive, take it! You'll get a tour of the house, plus if you're lucky all sorts of amusing anecdotes and thought provoking conversation. Additionally, Jean baked us a number of delicious treats such as cookies and cakes for our stay, and it was nice to get to thank her for that directly. Jean, thank you again! We had so much fun and are already planning our next trip! :)

You will love that it has a driveway, that you can pull in and leave without backing up. The home is bright and cheery. When you walk in, you see that it is just like the listing and better. The decor is soothing to the eyes throughout the home. I felt secure the very first night being there. We enjoyed their private patio with a firepit. It is definitely an all season home to enjoy all year. For young kids it has a bright, clean & spacious basement with pool table that converts to a ping pong table, air hockey table and an electric basket ball hoop arcade game for several to play. My stay here was for 4 weeks and I did not want to leave. I have put this Airbnb in my phone as a place that I want to comeback to again! If you need a house to shield you from Michigan’s winter while you and 10 friends slowly lose your sanity, this is the place! It’s not fancy, but it kept us warm, safe, and mostly civil for a week. The bathrooms? A daily battle of strategy and patience. With 10 people, shower schedules were tighter than a NASA launch, and nothing builds character like doing the “I-have-to-pee” dance while someone takes a 30-minute shower. The kitchen? Big enough to cook for a small army. The living room? Perfect for games, debates, and questioning why we work somewhere with subzero temps. And the basement? Originally a downside, it became the perfect exile for our most outspoken friend—the one who insisted we weren’t making the fire correctly. They got a taste of true winter survival down there. All in all, the house did its job. Would hide from the elements (and annoying friends) here again!
