Devon : séjours à la ferme

We had a wonderful stay at The Swallows with friends for my partner’s 40th birthday. Giles and Amelia had thought about everything which made allowed for our group including young baby and dog to have a great weekend. The accomodation was lovely with great open plan space for playing games, cooking and eating. We loved to walk down to the Estuary, enjoyed lunch at the Combe Sellers, explored nearby Shaldon and Ness Beach and enjoyed the Sunday night quiz at the Wild Goose in the village. An all round perfect stay that allowed us to enjoy a magical weekend in the company of our friends. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to allow you to explore a beautiful part of Devon.

we had an excellent stay. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the location made accessing the surrounding countryside very easy. I'd recommend to others and would like to thank Steve for his hospitality.

Super cottage to stay in. Lovely and quiet with the occasional honk from the geese. Clean, tidy with an excellently appointed kitchen.

The views from Cider Barn are so beautiful. We watched a barn owl hunting over the fields at dusk and dawn and the sound of a tawny owl whit wooing as I was going to sleep was magical! The living room / kitchen / dining is light and open plan and when I was there the sun was streaming in from sunrise to sunset. Loved watching the sunset with the owl hunting! Really enjoyed my stay here. It's an old barn - so the floor boards are a bit creaky but it is a special place.

We had such a lovely time staying at Sandra's! We were a couple with a 1 year old and thought the space was perfect for the three of us. We really appreciated the travel cot provided, and our daughter loved the baby swing in the garden. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful views, and the space with the fireplace was so cosy for a cold winter's stay! Sandra was a great host, very welcoming and helpful, and the recommendations for places to eat were spot on. We'd very happily come back, as it was the perfect location for visiting Exeter, Totnes, and Buckfastleigh!

Really enjoyed our stay at Penn Barn. Cosy hideaway with beautiful river views. Tucked ourselves away for a weekend of peace and quiet and it was perfect. Local pub was close by, great food and service and there are lovely scenic walks along the river which we really enjoyed. Kate is great host, we would definitely recommend!

A lovely stay, had everything you could possibly need - we had two infants with us and loved the amount of space. Felt like we where out in the countryside but only 5mins from a big food shop. Lots of lovely walks nearby

We loved our stay at Michelle's property . 3 families with children of various ages, plenty of space for them to run around. We unknowingly left an item at the property, Michelle went out of the way to make contact and send it to us. Going above and beyond! Beautiful location-will recommend.

Me and my mum came to stay for the weekend just to get away from the city and we had a lovely stay. The location is great with peaceful countryside surrounding the cottage. The hot tub was a lovely touch. Overall clean, tidy and well presented. We would visit again. Thank you! ☺️

Liz was a wonderful host: we checked ourselves in (there’s a keybox but the key had been left in the door for us) and Liz knocked on the door to say hi! She was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We were so impressed with the space: it is spacious and open, very clean and has everything we needed (including a couple of games to keep us entertained). The bed is really comfy, and it was perfect to go to sleep/wake up to the skylight window above us. Easy vicinity to get to all the sights we wanted to see by car. The instructions were helpful and clear so that we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived and we got exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend!

We had a really lovely stay at Woolgarden. The barn has been very thoughtfully converted, stylishly decorated and is very comfortable. Our dog loved the under floor heating! Very well appointed kitchen that had plenty of equipment (which was great as we had planned to cook a lot). Very peaceful, quiet area, lovely beaches a short drive away. Sarah was so warm and welcoming and the sourdough was a lovely touch. wlWe also enjoyed our daily visits from their dog Truffles!

We had a lovely stay at the stables. Location was beautiful with lovely costal walks near by. Great for relaxing. Beautiful home from home.

Would 100% recommend! The location was amazing and perfect getaway to take the dog having an enclosed garden and very short distance from their field and public footpaths. The place was absolutely immaculate, you would never have guessed previous visitors would have had dogs. The barn was exactly as described and can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the hosts were. We are excited to visit again!

We had a wonderful family Christmas for 8 adults at Jacobs Barn, it is really well equipped with comfy beds and good showers. The rooms are much bigger than they look on the photos, it is really spacious accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including a double fridge freezer and double sinks. There is an en-suite bathroom, a separate family bathroom and a downstairs WC. The village is walkable and has a good shop and a couple of friendly pubs. The local area is beautiful for walking and the views are glorious. I imagine the garden would be lovely to sit in over the summer months. We were able to buy sacks of logs through Sue in advance so they were there ready for us when we arrived and the wood stove was a great addition. The barn was warm and the heating was on when we arrived. There was also a lovely Christmas tree in the lounge. We would definitely recommend Jacob’s Barn for family groups it’s superb and we would love to go back.

Perfect getaway destination in 5star location. Bude and Wydemouth beaches within easy reach for dog walking. Inside the barn, we loved the oak beams and doors and the shower was truly amazing.

5 adults and 4 children( 1x9yrs 2x 2.5 yrs and 1x 14months) enjoyed the spacious cottage for a week. Everything was as described. We loved viditing the sheep and horses. The games room was a bonuscparticularly gor the adults. A great place from which to explore the variety of things N Devon has to offer.

Beautiful property and had everything you would need to stay for longer than the weekend I did. Lovely hamper of treats left which is always appreciated!

A lovely little place to stay for a couple of nights - nothing really to do in the area so more for if you’re wanting to get away from it all. Very well equipped and clean. Excellent host, really friendly and great communication. Would definitely stay again if we were to travel back to the area. We were staying for a wedding at treetop escapes - very close to the venue

My stay at Frances’ was absolutely lovely- she made us feel very welcome from the offset! The place is very charming and homely- I’ll be back for sure if I return to this neck of the woods!

The property was really cosy and a very peaceful location, really enjoyed our stay, was nice to relax in the evening with the fire pit. The garden was great for our dogs to investigate. Lydia’s recommendation for food and sightseeing was great, would definitely be coming back again and will be recommending to friends and family

This is the second time we have stayed at Amy’s place. It is everything we needed for a relaxing break, but quite central if you wanted to explore. We love staying here and although it was early March, the accommodation was warm, we didn’t need to use the log burner at all. We did pick a really good weather week though. Amy’s place is comfortable, homely and a great space. Loved feeding the pigs again😍would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely property very spacious for our family. Very rural and quiet. The track to it has to be driven fairly slowly . Laurence was very helpful with a couple of queries we had. Would recommend for exploring the north coast of Devon.
