Nice safe place to stay…

My boyfriend and I visited with two friends, so we booked the entire barn. Helen was there to meet us when we arrived and offered us a tea and coffee with biscuits. We found the barn to be spotlessly clean. The soft furnishings and interior design were lovely quality and comfortable. The beds are lovely and comfortable. The quality and choice of breakfast was amazing and they catered for a vegetarian and gluten free. Helen was a great host who couldn't do enough for us. The grounds are pretty and peaceful with lovely views of the Countryside. The photos dont do this place justice. We really couldnt rate this place highly enough. Thanks Jen

Great place - just as advertised and required for a short peaceful break in between Christmas family gatherings, Hot Tub and Sauna both brilliant all by candlelight which is so nice in the countryside. 100% will return

It was wonderful to stay in Chapel Hill for a few days! Carolynn and Roland are very hospitable and wonderful people, who immediately make you feel at home. Every morning I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and had nice conversations with Carolynn. The house is located in a beautiful and quiet area, but within walking distance of Lynton and Lynmouth. The walk to Watersmeet is also definitely worth it! Or the Exmoor Coaster open bus service to Porlock and Minehead. Also, if you do not have a car at your disposal, you can easily take the bus from Barbrook to Lynton/Lynmouth.

Great Airbnb - comfy beds, lovely breakfast. Belinda very friendly and helpful. Dartington village is in the middle of some beautiful countryside but only 5mins drive to Totnes.

Katie was very friendly and the view out of our window over the fields of sheep and cows was lovely. A very rural and secluded location, but within minutes of Ashburton. We will definitely stay at Katie‘s place next time we are in in Devon.

I stayed at Poltimore’s family suite- 5 adults and one child. I would say that the property is maintained by the owners with love and care. The family suite is spacious, with a living room, 3 bedrooms and one and half bathrooms. The view from each room is beautiful. Food in the restaurant is good and collection of wines and beers is amazing! All the staff at the property is lovely, welcoming and make sure that the stay is comfortable. I would definitely come back to stay at Poltimore inn.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay here. Linda and Alan were super welcoming, and seemed to have the perfect balance of being friendly & professional. They actually went above and beyond in helping us out, and we are very appreciative for that. The bedroom was comfy and clean and the bath robe was a lovely addition. The bathroom was also immaculate and breakfast was really easy and what we needed. Thank you again!

It's difficult to 'say a few words' in the space allotted because from the welcome to the assistance with our departure, everything was perfection. I have owned a historic inn, am a participant in the Air B&B in the US and a world traveler and can say with confidence that our stay at The Cider Barn was the best Air B&B experience we've ever had. Louise is the consummate hostess and excels at gracious hospitality. She is a concierge who is not only knowledgeable but makes the experience happen. She generously provided transportation to and from a wedding reception for us as we found the small lane driving at night quite intimidating as Americans. Even finding the 'hidden gem' was a challenge for us but well worth it and we boosted our learning curve as time went on, all too quickly. The property is exquisite; it easily qualifies for submission in Architectural Digest. We are deeply grateful to Louise, our hostess, and any guest is fortunate to stay here.

I stayed at Polly’s as I was swimming in an event that weekend. It is extremely well located for the town and the river, and a cosy room. Polly produced breakfast for me (very nice too, hadn’t read this in the description!), and was very welcoming. Good wifi despite the thick stone walls of the old building. Do note there are steep stairs up to the room! Also, there is no TV but a wonderful little cinema in the town.

This was our 2nd visit to Hilary’s, as before we had a great welcome, the room and bathroom were spotless, and very comfortable. Hilary is an excellent hostess, easy to chat with, and extremely kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was great, very generous and plenty of choice. Would highly recommend! Many thanks Hilary!

Sue and Peter made us feel so welcome in their beautiful, many roomed Edwardian house. We stayed in an annexed attached to the main house which was perfectly appointed and had absolutely everything we needed and more besides. It was also very private and quiet. Breakfast was delicious including local produce and we could see the lovely garden with many birds on their conveniently placed feeder. Sue and Peter were very happy to stop and chat but were also very respectful of our privacy. A really wonderful night away in a marvellous location. Thankyou Sue and Peter.

My stay with Justin and Mike was great! They were very welcoming and always treated me with respect. My room was so cosy and clean - perfect for a nice getaway. They provided a delicious breakfast every morning and supplied hot and cold drinks whenever needed. I would definitely recommend this accommodation :)

Kirstin and her Mum were the most welcoming, friendly and interesting hosts you could wish to stay with. Beautiful farmhouse, full of character, cosy and comfortable. Fabulous simple breakfast of the best local produce. Quality all round. Thank you both so much.

Beverly is very friendly, welcoming and made me feel at home giving me useful information on the local area. Her house is comfortable and had all I needed with the use of the kitchen as I needed. The location is great for the town centre and for exploring the area. Great walks on the doorstep. I hope to stay again when I'm in the area.

Our daughter and her husband stayed at The Smithy whilst visiting us in Chittlehampton. A perfect snug cottage used as a base. Everything they possibly needed. Clean and tidy. Comfortable bed and great shower. All the little extras made their stay perfect. Thank you Julie and Graham

I honestly have one word to describe Rita and that is perfect. It was an amazing weekend away from work and responsibilities and Rita made us feel right at home. Not only was she always willing to help and carried a smile on her face but she helped us with recommendations on where to go for dinner and what to do during the day. Her hospitality could not have been better and we could not have had a better time there. We cannot wait to go back soon and do more things. It was the loveliest weekend thank you so much

We had a wonderful overnight stay with breakfast. The location is beautiful. Both Claudine and David were really friendly, and we got a great recommendation for a local restaurant!

I arrived tired after driving through lashing rain. I was made to feel immensely welcome. Everything was very fine indeed and Rachel had put a lot of thought into providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

I had a lovely weekend, Rebecca is extremely friendly and hospitable, also great fun! Gorgeous dogs 🐕 all in all I loved it and would highly recommend Rebecca's place. I shall be back! Thank you so much.

What a delightful old-fashioned B&B. Lovely, friendly hosts, comfortable room (it's old and quirky but that's clear when you book) and the cooked breakfast was simply delicious - made with care. You even get home-made marmalade and toast with your tea in china cups. The pond and ducks complete the scene. Thanks Rosemarie!

Our stay with Anne & Jonathan was perfect. They both made us feel very welcome and we loved exploring their farm. Anne is also a wonderful passionate cook, we were spoilt with her delicious home made food. Many fruits and veggies were grown on their land. The standard of the accommodation is also very high with a fine attention to detail and wonderful old furniture. The stay suited us perfectly and really look forward to staying again with them.
