We traveled as a group of 6 to Villa Acres Green for a one-night getaway. The place was truly beyond our expectations and the pictures don’t do justice to the place! The property is spacious and gives you a sense of seclusion from the rest of the world. The vast garden is scattered with lots of trees, a pond and a well maintained lawn with benches and hammocks for a nice evening chill. The pool is much bigger than you’d expect and was clean. The tiles in the pool are starting to break so a little caution would be advised. We opted to get our food prepared at the property. The BBQ dinner was excellent, but the Sri Lankan breakfast (kiri bath) was only average. It’s possible that the food maybe a hit of miss in our experience. The rooms were nice; spacious and clean! The A/C cooled well which was more than appreciated since the days were scorching! All in all, we had a fantastic experience at the property and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Hikkaduwa.

Sunil's place was nothing short of exotic and luxurious. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with chilled coconut water — a thoughtful and refreshing touch. The villa was immaculate and incredibly comfortable, featuring a spacious master bedroom with breathtaking ocean views, along with two other well-appointed rooms, each with its own attached bathroom. The private swimming pool was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing dip. The kitchen was decently stocked, and we were treated to a delicious breakfast of toast, omelets, and fresh fruits in the morning. One of the highlights was the villa’s beachfront location — a serene and picturesque stretch of beach where we even had the rare pleasure of spotting turtles in the waves. Overall, our stay was luxurious, peaceful, and truly memorable. Highly recommended!

We have had a fantastic week here at Cococabana, with a spacious and well-equipped house, a park-like garden and a large and elegant swimming pool. In addition, the hosts Anne-Marie and Daniel are very positive and attentive, along with their pleasant staff. The dogs that live here are friendly and contribute to a great environment. When we arrived, we received a good overview of all the practicalities, and were met with a clean and delicate house, with fresh fruit and food in the fridge. We have been traveling around Sri Lanka for over two months, and this is without a doubt the most beautiful place we have stayed in. The property is located undisturbed right by the sea, but still only a nice walk or tuktuk ride to beaches, shops and restaurants. Here we have experienced everything we could wish for. We would be happy to return on a later occasion.

Wir hatten einen wirklich wundervollen Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft ist so viel schöner, als auf den Bildern und die Lage ist einfach toll. Man hat Blick auf die Reisfelder und die verschiedenen Tiere, die dort leben. Die Villa ist so bedacht an die Umgebung angepasst gebaut, dass man mit den Tieren gemeinsam dort lebt. Im Außen- Badezimmer hat sogar ein Vogel seine Eier in einem Nest gebrütet- einfach toll! Wir haben und sehr wohl und sehr umsorgt gefühlt, Charith der Haushälter hat sich toll um uns gekümmert und seine Kochkünste sind phänomenal. Er hat uns auf Anfrage Abendessen gekocht& es war das beste Essen, dass wir in der gesamten Urlaubszeit in Sri Lanka hatten. Das Frühstück war auch himmlisch. Tagsüber- nachmittags /abends wird die Villa zusätzlich noch von einem anderen Angestellten dort überwacht, sodass wir nicht jedes mal alle Türen abschließen mussten und ganz sorglos Ausflüge machen konnten. Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank!

Beautiful villa with abundant space, verandah-style living, a great pool, and spotlessly clean. A short tuk-tuk ride away from Galle Fort and 10 minutes to the beaches of Unawatuna. The villa itself whilst in quite a busy part, enables a highly peaceful and relaxing holiday. We spent just over a week there and the caretaker (Fayas) went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and the chef (Rizwan) cooked us numerous and varied breakfasts, allowing us to sample delicious traditional food we’d not had before. Check in and out during very early morning due to flight times were also accommodated. Overall we had a great holiday at the villa and would highly recommend.

Gads Villa is a truly magical place. The gardens are exquisitely landscaped, and the giant Velvet Apple tree is really a wonder to behold. The pool has a shallow section which is perfect for little ones, or for adults to lounge in. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed (important when traveling with 4 youngsters!). The bathrooms are likewise huge and very prettily set out. Beds are comfortable and the fans were sufficient to keep us cool at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, a few minutes tuk tuk ride into the main part of town. I personally found it very convenient to have yoga and a little spa within a few minutes walk. Secret Beach is also only a short walk away. Sahan and team were super helpful, and breakfasts were delicious. All in all a fabulous stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Cecilia’s place. The house is just as described, literally right on the beach with the picturesque Indian Ocean right at the back door of the house. We were well looked after by Sasha and Praboth and had delicious meals. Would definitely stay again.

The place matched it's description 100% and was really the nicest place where I've stayed. The views were breathtaking (as was climbing the stairs to the villa). The staff was friendly and very helpful, the food ordered to the room was top notch. Bonus points for them to proactively invite us to the beach to look how sea turtle babies reach the sea. You might not like the place if you find walking multiple floors of stairs hard (was needed to reach the villa) or if you can't stand the fact that wildlife (different insects) are your closest neighbors. We loved this place and would love to come back one day!

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse i Mirissa! Nona var en väldigt hjälpsam värdinna, hon tog med oss på utflykter utifrån våra önskemål och kom med rekommendationer om Mirissa. Boendet låg väldigt nära stranden och restauranger, men det var ändå lugnt på kvällen och natten. Jag rekommenderar verkligen Nonas boende och längtar redan efter att åka tillbaka till Mirissa 😍 ☀️ 🏝️

Our family had a fantastic stay at Ghazzali’s apartment! He is a lovely, welcoming host who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a hassle-free stay. Ghazzali was extremely accommodating, and his hospitality truly made our trip memorable. I went to Bihara's place with my family and in-laws, and everyone loved it so much. The surroundings of the property and the property itself is full of greenery and peaceful. In fact, even before reaching, Bihara was always responsive and helped with all the queries I had. His family is also lovely, and helped us with every single thing we had a query about. The breakfast was great, timely, and felt very homely. I strongly recommend his place, especially if you have large groups as we had an entire floor to ourselves. And the hosts, his entire family that is, are really lovely folks!

The photos simply do not do the house justice. A beautiful villa tucked into the treetops where you can watch the monkeys in the trees and enjoy the unique microclimate that being at height brings. Beautifully furnished, the house feels private yet is only a five minute Tuk Tuk ride away from stunning beaches and five minutes further to Galle. Communication with the host was perfect and there were clear instructions, guides and tips for things to do in the local area. We’ve been coming to Sri Lanka as a family for ten years and wish we’d found this house sooner. A big thank you to Sunethra for your wonderful daily cooking and introducing our daughter to new foods every day and to Chathuranga for tips and local knowledge. Lastly to Chloe the dog who completed our vacation perfectly. Already can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise.

Really enjoyed our stay at Indie! It’s a beautiful home, very clean and the beach is easily accessible from the property! Nirman, the manager was very kind and helpful and we got prompt responses from the host which made our stay a pleasure. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay in the Petals. The house is very comfortable and the big beautiful garden (with the frangipani trees!) and the pool make it a wonderful place to wind down and relax. Upul and Jagath are a lovely duo who take care of the house. They are very discrete and extremely kind. Upul also cooked delicious meals for us. The terrace is also very nice and comfortable offering an opportunity to connect to a film projector and watch a movie on a big screen. Mikey (the dog on the property) is very friendly but if he jumps around too much, Jagath or Upul will make sure he is locked away. One thing to note is that the two bedrooms are not connected via any inside corridor but come out directly to a terrace. It did not bother us though. We wish we could have stayed longer!
