This retreat on the lake was absolutely perfect for spending time with extended family during a Notre Dame game weekend! The house was flawless! Everything that was described in the listing was exactly how we found it. Our host was super quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. Steve and team were lovely! From Check-in and throughout the stay they were responsive, friendly and kind. Steve and his wife even stopped by after a severe storm to check in on us and make sure we didn't need the generator or any assistance. Perfectly peaceful space for our weekend girl trip. Very nice home and backyard. The pontoon boat and kayaks offered much enjoyment. Barbecue pit worked and all amenities. Firepit nice to light and have smores for the kids. Bring bug spray for being out in the evening. Neighbors were very nice also. Great vibe to the area. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

Howard is an amazing host. He was super responsive and accommodating to our large group. He had all the amenities that were listed on the property and more! We had more than enough towels and even kitchen appliances, spices, and utensils. His instructions were clear about checking out and our group had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed our stay here! It was a little hard to find at first but even though it was right off the road the back yard felt very private. Easy to walk to the beach and around the neighborhood. For two people and a dog it felt very spacious and the outdoor area was very beautiful with all the fall colors. It was a nice area with easy access to the state parks we visited.

Great home with all the amenities, along with a great location across the street from the lake. We will certainly be looking to stay here again in the future.

We had a great time! The house was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet, close to a lot of areas we wanted to see. There was plenty of space for us all to do our own thing and not disturb each other, but also space for us to all gather together. Linda had great recommendations and was an excellent communicator!

It is obvious that Karen has the gift of hospitality! She truly thinks of and provides everything you might need to be comfortable during your stay…. And then some! We enjoyed watching the beautiful snowfall from the large front windows. We were glad we had 4 wheel drive as there was no plowing happening in this rural lake area. We would not have changed it, though. It was just beautiful. We look forward to coming back to experience the cabin in warm weather, too!

We had a very nice stay this Lake house! We were looking for a place that would be my wife and I and our 2 dogs with easy access to a clean lake that was private and still had access to some dog-friendly restaurants, parks, etc. This place perfectly covered all those needs with a great open layout family room / kitchen / dining room (not common in many moderately sized lake houses) with plenty of room to spread out and lots of windows. It was also nice to have the kayaks, SUP, and paddle boat available to use. Kyle and Kelly were great hosts and we hope to stay again!

From the outset, this was a very enjoyable Airbnb experience. Geri provided a very useful amount of information about the property and area eateries, wineries, etc. The home was made available to us earlier than expected, was clean, very well-stocked, and ready for our use. The WIFI apparatus was robust and very easy to connect to. We truly enjoyed the beautiful, wooded surroundings...especially in mid-October...spectacular colors. We got onto the lake for some fishing using the provided kayaks. Nice bass in the lake! We used the firepit each evening, so the firewood that was made available to us was put to excellent use! I cannot overstate how impressed we were with the thoughtful outfitting of the home...kitchenware, toiletries, bedding, games, outdoor furniture, plenty of coffee, and more; everything we might want was available to us. Geri's husband John gave us a fun and interesting tour of their neighboring farmstead...highly recommended! Kudos Geri!

So glad I stumbled upon Steph's Ice House listing. Had a peaceful, almost secluded stay yet close to the many Shipshewana attractions. Impeccably clean and decorated, with modern amenities which would be fantastic for an extended stay. Steph sent a greeting message immediately after my booking and followed up with detailed instructions and area tips. Was pleasantly surprised with doughnuts and popcorn when I arrived, a very nice touch. Looking forward to booking with her again!

My family and I were blown away by the house and its surroundings. We were a party of 10 adults attending my nephew's wedding at the Marion Magnolia Farms venue which was about 2 miles away. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make meals. Except the food, of course. Plenty of bath towels, blankets, etc. Bring bottled water. The backyard setting adjacent to the lake was tranquil and peaceful. The weather was beautiful for October (high 70's). We spent the evening around the fire pit making s'mores. No mosquitoes or flies. Yay!!!!!!! You literally will not want to leave!!!!!!!!!!!! But we had to get back to reality. For 3 days and 2 nights we were able to escape the busyness of everyday living. Thanks Amy for allowing us to have a wonderful mini-vacation/wedding celebration at your AirBnB.

it was such a fun night. definitely worth the money and stay. we will be coming back once it warms up and we can go on the lake. such a beautiful home

Great lake house for our multi-family gathering. Pontoon rental was perfect for fishing! We caught our limit of bluegill each day. Young and old especially loved the swinging in the great room looking into the lake. Power recliner and couch made watching TV relaxing. Girls loved painting rocks. And our 3 year old grandson was in love with cars and toys to play with.

We came for a stay with extended family including children from baby-teen. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and we loved being right on the canal and the hot tub. The game room was fun for all ages and we appreciated the items for baby. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to cook. Thanks for a relaxing getaway!

It was the perfect get away, we did venture out a little bit, but we mostly stayed at the house. It was very comfortable, and was a home away from home. Had everything we needed, as we cooked in almost everyday. We don’t have a lot of conversations with Jodie, but we had adequate conversations with her. She was very responsive when we requested information. The info sheet was easy to understand and informative.

Second time staying there, even better in the fall. Surroundings are beautiful!
