From the moment I checked in I realized that Astoria Hotel is a 5 Star Hotel. Check-in was quick and friendly! The public areas of the Hotel and my King Suite were impeccably clean. The restaurant was well designed with spaces for privacy and socializing with others. The food was delicious! Most importantly was the staff: everyone was extremely personable and caring in their position. The front desk attendants, the bartenders,(Aaron and Daren) and cooks were simply kind and professional at the same. time. Feels like coming home.

The RV is parked in an ideal spot in the RV park where, when you open the door, you are met with beautiful open fields and cows as neighbors. It gets pretty great lighting even on cloudy days. The neighborhood is very quiet and the stunning Teddy Roosevelt National park is very close by. Do keep in mind that many of the shops in medora (the close by town) are seasonal so finding places to eat/shop is limited. We encountered two issues: one being on our first day we didn’t have any water. However, Kyle came the next morning to turn the water on. On our final day, around midnight the heat stopped working. The weather was under 60 degrees so it got very cold very quickly. Since it was the last day there wasn’t much that could be done other than layering up. It’s overall a very peaceful getaway and great location to stay while visiting Teddy Roosevelt park.
