Lovely stay for the weekend - it’s really beautiful and well appointed. Spotless and spacious. Communication before arrival was excellent. I scraped my ankle and the hosts provided plasters promptly which was much appreciated. Bath was also very comfy, a real treat as we don’t have one! Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely weekend at the Kozikot, Simon & Amy were perfect hosts - responsive, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The photos do not do the cottage justice, it is spacious and rustic, with all you could possibly need. The hot tub was also already warmed and was a lovely addition to the weekend. Definitely recommend staying here, we even enjoyed a breakfast at the Ashleworth hub which is also ran by Simon & Amy - perfect end to the stay!

Dawn was fantastic from the word go, responding quickly and clearly to messages- she’s a super friendly host! Her place was perfect for our walking weekend away with friends, we cooked there, had a dip in the hot tub, walked and went to the local pub which was great too. The house is brilliant, she’s lovely - and we’ll certainly be coming back (we hope!) Thank you so much for having us, Dawn!

We had a lovely family stay. The cottage and esp the hot tub were fab. Lots for the kids to play with and do, and nice to chill out

The cottage was beautiful and so peaceful. We sat outside every morning listening to the birds with a cup of coffee and in the evenings, we had so many options- from a cosy seating area and outdoor fire, to the lounge with a fantastic stove - or the hot tub once we’d gotten it warm. We visit the area a lot and the location is great! There are walks on the doorstep- and within 20 mins you can hire bikes and canoes/paddle-boards! Coming back to a serene private retreat after an active day is just bliss. Beds are very comfy, kitchen is well equipped and Meng kindly left the essentials (tea,coffee, hot chocolate, milk and eggs- as well as oil and spices!) We would definitely stay again! We really enjoyed our stay, it was so peaceful and the views were stunning. There was everything we needed at the cottage and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise, we even had an Easter egg to enjoy. Jamie and Dan were on holiday while we were there, but they still took the time to check that we had settled in okay and they were still available to contact. We loved sitting in the hot tub taking in the wonderful countryside and watching the lambs in the fields opposite. The spiral stairs are very steep, but we soon got the hang of them. We walked to the local pub which has a Mexican restaurant, which was good and the people were very friendly. Just be aware that it is an uphill walk back! We would definitely recommend staying here for a lovely relaxing break and if you like walking there are great trails in the Forest of Dean that are a very short drive away.

Karl was waiting for me, when I arrived. Very friendly and informative. Always helpful and even loaned me a rucksack, for my walking, as I had left mine at home. The accommodation is only 10 mins from the Elan Valley reservoirs and the Dark Sky Park. Excellent location Both front and rear gardens have boundaries, so great for letting my dogs investigate securely. I plan to go again, after summer.

Wonderful long weekend at Flagstone Cottage, the most peaceful place we’ve ever been, no car noises whatsoever and beautiful scenery. Cottage was exactly as described. We asked for the BBQ to come back out and Clare actually brought out all the outside furniture for us to use which was a nice surprise when we got back from our day trip. Our 5yo daughter loved the mezzanine bedroom and being able to have multiple baths a day (we only have a shower at home). The walk from Llanthony Priory up Hatterhall hill is amazing and the pint in the priory grounds at the end was very scenic and rewarding! Hay-On-Wye is well worth a visit, Abergavenny also.

We loved the cottage ,so clean and comfortable and the garden/stream /swing and animals were a real hit with the children. We were made to feel very welcome -homemade cake ,lovely coffee ,bread and eggs ,such a nice touch with Easter eggs for the kids . Thank you Tracey and Dave .

Set in a small village with friendly locals and surrounded by beautiful fields and mountains, the scenery from the backdoor is stunning! I didn't expect the drive into the village to be so picturesque. We stayed here as it's only a 35 minute drive from Pen y Fan mountain, and also close to many other natural attractions. I would highlight that despite advertising as dog friendly, the paved back garden does not belong to the BnB and so dogs are not allowed off lead in the garden (but are permitted when on lead). Dogs are also not allowed upstairs.

Not a lot to say really, it was fab! Great for the dogs, enclosed garden and plenty of space for them, plus it was lovely to be able to walk round the grounds of the property. Location was perfect, so peaceful, but within an easy drive to Monmouth. The house had absolutely everything one could need. Thank you Bob

What a lovely cottage , situated in an outstanding area of great walks , canoeing and pubs all within easy walking distance. The cottage is cosy and has everything you need including the necessary, wifi, a bluetooth speaker, open fire and nice touches like torches for walking in the evening. The Ye olde Ferrie boat Inn has a great atmosphere and good food and outdoor seating by the river. Dog Friendly inside too. This is only 10 min walk from the cottage. The Saracens head is on the other side of the river . They do have a hand ferry but only in peak season, so otherwise it is an hour walk up the river to the footbridge 30 mins( which is a modern style rope type bridge which is exciting) and then back along the river to the pub 30 mins. Coming back in the dark was fine and under the stars and listening to all the wildlife in the Forest was quite magical. Also dog friendly , so you can choose how energetic you want to be for your lunch or evening meals! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The bungalow is clean, comfortable and provided all that we needed for a short Easter break. The living area was equipped with all the basics, as well as with free Wi-fi and Netflix, although no other channels were available. The tv was small (32"), especially when seated on the sofa or armchair. During our three night stay, the local Forest School and Oakraven Centre had children attending courses, so there was something of a mini 'Rush hour' in the morning and evening. It was not a problem but required wariness for walkers and opposing traffic in a single track road. The woodland walks locally are good and plentiful, Lorraine providing good guidelines to other attractions and trails. A beautiful area.

Amazing AirBnB. Beautiful panoramic window, all furnished well, super huge comfy bed, fantastic shower, Peter was hugely helpful and responded straight away when we couldn’t get the heating going, great dog walks, 4 miles to lovely Ludlow and a National Trust castle. Super lovely break! Thank you Peter and Hilary 😊🐶

A beautiful remote location with views of Severn Estuary. The cottage had everything we needed and was very homely. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect spot for a long weekend. Ideal for evenings in as it is well equipped and has beautiful surroundings. Also close enough by car and foot to a great selection great pubs and restaurants. Beautiful walking routes too. We drove to Pen y Fan for a sunrise climb and would 100% recommend this. Big thanks to Dominie and team for facilitating a wonderful weekend.

A perfect bolt hole while visiting a friend for a few days. A cosy cottage in an idyllic setting. The homemade brownies and bread were a lovely, welcoming touch too. I’m sure we will be back. Thank you Kirstie.

It was beyond words , it took my breath away, especially the swing :) lol, Seeing the sheep so up close was amazing and so special, The WiFi was very strong , even one bedrooms , If you want somewhere to relax and unwind , this is definitely the place for you, Jon was an amazing host, very responsive, answered all my questions, Very kind , Fully recommend,

We had a cosy stay. We loved the light, airy, oak beamed sun room with underfloor heating. Lots of hot water for showers and baths. Enjoyed the Aga, (would like more time to get used to cooking on it..... but a managed a tarte Tintin.) Serena very helpful and friendly, will answer questions. When we arrived the fire was lit and bread, milk, eggs, crisps and biscuits had been kindly left. There were staples in the cupboard which was very handy.

Highly recommend this cottage . Stunning location on hillside with beautiful views across the valley, within easy reach of outdoor activities and selection of pub restaurants. Cottage is cosy , well equipped and nicely decorated. Great balcony for morning coffee or breakfast. Bridget was brilliant with prompt communication and easy to follow instruction . There for the weekend but could have stayed longer.
