We had a wonderful long weekend with our son’s family and 4 grandchildren. Everyone loved the kayaks, lily pad, dock swings and toys were perfect for our grandchildren. The porch and porch swing were lovely. The sunset was beautiful. The lake level was getting low this time of year and the bottom of the lake was muddy, but we lily pad kept our feet off the bottom😊. We rented a boat one day and went tubing. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend this property. The host, Claire was very accommodating. Thank you.

Our stay couldn’t have been any better! The house fit our family of 7 perfectly with 4 beds to spare! The kitchen was equipped with everything you can think of (and the ice maker was a MAJOR PLUS!) Communication was easy and quick! Drifter’s restaurant is 5 minutes from the house- it was so good we went twice! Location was perfect! Highly recommend this house! We will be staying here again without a doubt!

Eleanor is a very thoughtful and responsive host and just the sweetest! The baked goodies were delicious too! The home is very nice and clean and the waterfront view was breathtaking. I highly recommend this place if you like being on the water or just want a peaceful place to retreat!

Dock Holiday absolutely exceeded our expectations! We were looking for a clean, well-maintained rental that offered solitude, space for family activities with our teenage sons, and closeness to nature. Will’s cabin did not disappoint. The hosts not only offer an amazing lakeside cabin retreat, they create an experience for their guests through the small touches like a personalized welcome message, a bottle of wine upon arrival, and access to “extras” like detergent, hand soap, etc. We literally just had to show up and enjoy ourselves. The cabin itself is clean and obviously well cared for. It’s beautifully and tastefully decorated — comfortable and homey without feeling like you were staying in someone else’s house. We also appreciated the high quality furnishings, including even the outdoor furniture and amenities. We can’t say enough about the perfect experience we had staying at Dock Holiday! Thank you Will and family for making our holiday getaway one we will always remember!

Wonderful place for family and friends to spend time together. Getting to watch the sunrise every morning over the water is the best way to start your day. We felt at home right away. Our family enjoyed our short visit to Smith Lake. We are looking forward to another visit this summer.

This place was perfect for our needs, Trishia was always helpful and the accommodation was exactly as described set just outside Hodges. A credit to all who did the renovations on it will go back again thank you..

We thoroughly enjoyed our family's stay at Cottages # 1 and # 2. It was beautiful and peaceful. What a gorgeous setting! We were able to access the docks and rented a boat which we kept there overnight. As others have mentioned, there are 130 steps down to the dock from Cottage 1. Cottage 2's path to the other deck had less steps but you also have to walk on a rocky trail. Cottage 2's deck is covered. The only other issue at Cottage 1 was the steeper / gravel driveway, which has also been mentioned in a review. Cottage 2's driveway was level. It was okay for us because we had a truck with 4WD. We parked the sedan further up the hill. We didn't mind the walk to Cottage 1 or between the cottages, but an elderly person might. Otherwise, these 2 cottages were in a picture-perfect setting and we had great time there with our families, babies and dogs! Thank you!

Our family spent Thanksgiving week here and it was perfect! The home and surroundings are absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the lake! The home was exactly as described, it was spacious and inviting and perfect for a large family. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to prepare thanksgiving dinner along with many other meals. We had an amazing time creating lasting memories. Jay and April were incredible hosts who were always quick to respond. Spending Thanksgiving at their beautiful home was truly amazing! The serene environment and cozy accommodations made it such a memorable experience!
