We had a great time at Heather's place. The cottage was decorated beautifully. We love the hot tub and the backyard lighting around it. Everything was set up with a timer and it's pretty good for us to not have to worry about it. It's so good to have two firepits and the supplies to start the fire. The local convenient store is a short drive and has everything we need when we ran out of supplies. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea and all the snacks are nice treats. It is very cozy and the surrounding is gorgeous. The heater in the house can be quite annoying at night for someone staying on the daybed. We were warned about the noise in the instructions but couldn't do much about it or change the sleeping arrangement. The beds in all rooms are all very comfortable and if the heater issue can be somehow addressed, that would be much better. (the heater just turns on and off way too frequently) Overall, we had a great time! Heather and Michael are very friendly and responsive hosts. Thank you!

Michael and Margaret are great hosts. We head up to their place every winter now for a little cottage country escape. They are super responsive and helpful. Their place is warm, cozy, and has a great hot tub under the stars (and under the snow if you’re lucky). We’ll be back again!

Great winter getaway. The cottage was cute, cozy and clean! The description of the cottage doesn’t do it justice as there are four nice bedrooms (the fourth one is just tough to see in the pictures) and although the water isn’t potable, there were jugs already there for us upon arrival. Only thing missing was a coffee maker, but otherwise wonderful stay!

Walking into the nook - you feel immediately at home and relaxed. Every detail that Melissa and Greg put in is so thoughtful and warm! We had such a beautiful and connected time. Enjoyed the games, the sauna and the peace and quiet more than we can express. We definitely will be back. Highly highly recommend to anyone needing to unplug, recharge and connect.

INCREDIBLE find!! I can’t say enough about this cabin and the amazing hosts. Location was beyond perfect, private, quiet and clean. The space was so thoughtfully designed; modern but cozy with so many thoughtful details. The hot tub, espresso machines, record player, comfy beds. I could go on!! Absolutely one of my favourite Airbnb experiences and I can’t wait to come back!!

A Luxurious Spa-Like Retreat for a Romantic Getaway Our stay at Chris and Mariah’s place was nothing short of magical! We were looking for a romantic escape to celebrate our first anniversary of pregnancy, and their place provided the perfect setting. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and thoughtful touches that made us feel truly special. The home had a serene, spa-like ambiance with indoor sauna and outdoor cold plunge and hot tub along with a beautiful bathtub that made for a relaxing soak. The lighting, interior decor and choice of furniture gives a feeling of utmost relaxation. Chris and Mariah went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and It was the perfect blend of relaxation and romance. If you're looking for a dreamy escape to unwind and celebrate love, this is the place! We can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at the Skoot Cabin from Dec 26-30 with our dog and friend from New York. Everyone had an easy time getting to the place and getting in. Once inside, it was really hard to want to leave such a cozy space in the winter. The wood burning stove was an absolute highlight and kept us warm throughout the stay. The place itself had everything we needed and the area around the cabin was perfect for our dog to explore and run around. Kate was super helpful and responsive and provided us with all the info on the place. Can’t say enough good things about this cabin and location and our friend was very impressed with this Canadian experience! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Had the pleasure of staying at Khristel’s cozy chalet this past weekend! What a stunning property. Secluded, quiet and pristine. The chalet itself has everything you can think of to have a wonderful stay. The kitchen is fully stocked and a chefs dream space to work out of. The bathrooms and bedrooms were all so nicely decorated and a lean as a whistle. You can tell that a lot of love has gone into curating the special warm and inviting ambiance of this place. We cooked great meals, watched a ton of movies, had a couple bonfires and went snowshoeing! We didn’t get to fully utilize the game room but we got so excited to see billiards, ping pong, darts, fooseball and large jenga! Overall an amazing peaceful and fun getaway!! Would highly recommend!!!

My husband and I stayed here in the midst of an absolutely gorgeous fall weekend. We could not have gotten any luckier with the weather or the view of the forest, it was exactly what we were hoping for. Kristin, Chris and Charlie were welcoming and kept to themselves. They put out extra firewood in a wheelbarrow so it was easily accessible for us. Their property was absolutely gorgeous and exactly as the photos on the listing. The bed was so comfortable, both my husband and I had 2 great nights sleep and slept in. The hot tub was spacious and so enjoyable, I believe we were in and out at least 6 times. The instructions for the toilet and the rest of the cabin were easy to follow and we ran into 0 issues. We will certainly be back, if Kristin and Chris will have us 😊👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Everything was absolutely perfect! Alexia was welcoming and helpful. The cottage was great… especially the outdoor shower! It was wonderful! Thank you for being pet friendly as well… our puppies were so happy. We will definitely be booking again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect spot- beautiful sunsets over the lake. Good swimming and nice dock area. Cottages were lovely inside with everything we needed and beds were so comfortable. Had lots of fun campfires and there is a nice lawn between the cottages for activities and dog to explore. Would definitely like to come back- great time had by all!

This cabin in the Buckhorn area is a wonderful retreat with classic cabin ambiance inside and cottage lifestyle vibes outside. A beautiful home with multiple levels and beds that works well for a group to enjoy a meal together or take in the views and also works if some with to lay low while others want to have lovely conversation as the lower level is more isolated. The locals are also extremely friendly! Khristel was extremely responsive when I had questions and the well presented guide was helpful and made the whole process an easy experience allowing myself and guests to just meet right to relaxing! would love to go in the summer to see what the different season is like!

The hosts were very responsive and their place was clean and cozy right beside the lake. We enjoyed using their kayak for water activities. Bonus for being a super dog friendly place where friendly puppers are able to roam free. Many thanks especially to Mike who patiently showed us around and also shared with us his tips and knowledge about the area. He was very considerate and asked if we were ok with the noise level, otherwise he could move us to another area as another group was having a party. We were totally fine with it as it was still early in the evening but appreciated his kind gesture and going the extra mile to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Made many wonderful memories on this trip and hope to return again someday! Thank you for being such great hosts!

Just back from a two night stay at Chris and Hannah's cozy, comfortable cabin. The setting is spectacular nestled in the sugar bush of a working maple syrup producer. The cabin is ultra charming and well equipped. I dealt with Hannah who was warm, kind, and helpful without being obstrusive. For cold-weather visitors, note that shower is outside but just a step outside the back door, as is the private sauna. I would definitely return to this peaceful, charming place and recommend it to others.

Great host and beautiful house to stay with friends. Better irl than the pictures.

It is clear the owners have put a lot of care and thought to every aspect of a stay at their cottage. Outside, there were 3 canoes available with PFDs and paddles; the dock was perfect for fishing- we caught bass and sunfish, and catfish, plus we also swam too. Pool noodles and ample outdoor dock seating was also available. The outdoor seating and dining area was really wonderful and afforded a view of the river still but also surrounded by trees that sound so lovely in the wind. There are neighbors on either side but everyone keeps to their own and feels very private. The barbecue worked great and it was so thoughtful how there was a lighter and a spatula and tongs clean and provided for easy access. The place was stacked with things you may have forgotten at home like a post-swim q-tip or herbal tea. The forest across the street is uninhabited and was great for mushroom foraging. I would 100% recommend this place as it had exceeded our expectations at every turn.

Jennifer was a wonderful host. The cabin was beautiful and cozy. My wife and I really enjoyed our short stay and will be back again in the future as a family with the kids. We had the best sleep in a long time on the cabin bed, it was so comfortable.

Perfect place to relax and stay away from the city. Very cozy and clean, comfortable mattress and it has all you need to cook. The cottage is spacious surrounded by trees and extremely beautiful in the morning with the sun hitting the trees with the fall colours. Take a time to have a coffee in front of the river. Anthony and Michael answered all my questions really quickly. Furnace falls is minutes away and I highly recommend a visit there. I would love to stay there again.

we had a great time at Kelly's cottage on the Sandy lake. the interiors were very aesthetic and pleasing, and everything was super new and well maintained. the cottage was very well equipped with anything that one may need for a comfortable stay whether its the kitchen or bath amenities. the fireplace was really pretty and the outdoor firepit was also very nice. we went during peak winter time and the location was great in terms of snow clearing facilities as well. we loved spending time at Kelly's place and would love to be back again in the summer to enjoy more of the outdoors and the lake where the property is located.
