We’ve all returned from a lovely week at the cottage - it was very clean and had everything that we needed; a real home from home. The beds a really comfortable and the bathrooms are amazing! The views are beautiful, great private garden and plenty of parking. The WIFI isn’t great but it’s probably to be expected as it’s a wee bit remote. On the positive, it was nice to have the children off their phones a bit more!

Delightful place to stay. Comfortable, warm and well-equipped. Good parking. Friendly and helpful hosts. Perfect for exploring the Lake District.

So grateful to Susan for hosting us at very short notice. Spent 3 nights here and would have loved to have stayed longer. The house was warm and cosy, the kitchen was well appointed with plenty of utensils etc to cook family meals. The lounge was very comfortable and the bedrooms also comfortable. Hot tub a definite bonus and spent every evening watching the stars. Lovely pub approx a mile away. Could have walked it but weather not ideal, served delicious food. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Small but lovely cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. They even leave a crate and blanket for your dog in case you have forgotten anything. Well -equipped kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Iron and ironing board. Dining table. The bedrooms are nice and cosy. The shower is great. Good parking. All in all a good place to stay. Thank you

Raphaela and Steve were very helpful and pleasant. They encouraged us to let them know when we needed something. The cottage has a great bathroom and well-appointed kitchen and is very comfortable. We enjoyed the farm-like atmosphere—it’s so peaceful yet so close to amenities. And the grazing cows standing in the road to town were easily nudged with minimal mooing. We loved it!

Wow, what an incredible wee gem of a place with the most amazing views from the back of the property. On arrival, we were graciously met by Stuart who offered help if needed but left us alone. The cottage is immaculate and has everything you need. Home from home. The back garden is completely fenced in, ideal for our two dogs. There are two pet goats on site who are adorable. Would definitely like to go back.

We all had a really great time staying in this place. we loved the vibe, the location and that kitchen has everything in it and we are able to cook. Just wished we came in a better weather cause I think it will really be nice to sit outside and have some bbq. Will definitely come back with my other friends, hopefully on a more summery weather. We’ve had the most fantastic stay. The house is spacious, beautiful and very comfortable. The games room was a great surprise with something for all ages. We would 100% recommend this house. Thank you Jade for making booking and communication so easy.

The accommodation was beautiful and quiet, exactly as described and well equipped. Jo who helped us with our stay was so incredibly friendly and kind, and the hot tub booking was straightforward and so relaxing. My partner and I loved the place and would love to return in the future. The directions to get to the accommodation were perfect, and despite the rural location we arrived there with no hassle at all. Cannot recommend enough!!

Honestly had the best Christmas at Melanie’s place. The barn was spotless and spacious (big enough for 2 dogs and 8 people!). The photos really do not do this place justice. I would recommend this place to anybody! Thanks again Melanie ☺️💕

We had a lovely stay here as a family with 2 young children and 2 dogs. The pictures don’t do the place justice - it’s bigger and fresher than it looks on the photos. It was a great distance from Keswick and other walks in the Lake District. We would definitely stay again! Only thing to note was that as the living area is upstairs that the floorboards can be noisy below so if you have those going to bed at different times then they’d need to use the other bedrooms but this wasn’t an issue for us!

Eve communicated really well. The Airbnb was immaculate, warm, spotlessly clean, and nicely decorated for Christmas. Also just a short walk from Cockermouth town centre which was perfect for us. Overall was amazing and we’d definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful wee cottage in a beautiful place. So cosy, clean and has such a homely feel to it. Lynn and Mark were amazing hosts. So helpful and thoughtful leaving us baked goodies on arrival along with a little basket filled with bread, milk, chocolate and wine this was such a lovely surprise. They were very easy to communicate with and gave us some lovely recommendations for the area. We will definitely be back. We loved it here :-)

Beautiful place. Great scenery and animals all around as it’s on a working farm so that was lovely. Marj was lovely and very helpful and friendly as were everyone else we met there. I took my kids with me and they loved every minute. Plenty for them to do if they weren’t in the hot tub. When it’s clear on an evening the star gazing is amazing. The views in general are beautiful from the property. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place to stay! a lot bigger than we thought which was welcomed with great views out of all the windows. Everything was spotless and the large dining table was great for meals. Easy drive to any of the towns with loads to do all around. We will definitely be back.

Werkelijk een prachtig huisje met alles erop en eraan. Gezellig ingericht en brandschoon. We hebben uitstapjes gemaakt naar het Lake District wat geweldig mooi was.

I only stayed for one night, but both hosts were super welcoming and helpful. I was attending an interview in Maryport and having a great night's rest and being able to pet their two gorgeous cats definitely helped me clear my head for the interview. I felt extremely comfortable and I will definitely be looking to stay here again. Sooner rather than later, and for longer next time! HUGE thanks to India and David for being wonderful hosts.

beautiful barn conversion with everything we needed and in particular a spacious master bedroom. The activities for our young kids made it an even better venue for our Summer holiday.

Very peaceful with walking on the door step beautiful views of surrounding mountains very dog friendly our 2 spaniels had a great time relaxing small garden ideal to sit with a coffee. Will definitely return as accommodation is ideally located as a walking base for Cumbria

Even though it’s a working farm it felt very secluded. Really peaceful and you can really recharge your batteries before another adventure. It’s close to Keswick and if weather is bad SW Scotland is only an hour drive. Our boys loved football pitch and trampoline but jacuzzi style bath felt like little cherry on the top of the cake. Natalie is an amazing host and I’d recommend staying here to everyone.

Quiet, comfortable, cosy and quirky hideaway. Perfect for nearby walks across moorland with stunning views of the Fells or a short scenic drive to Derwent Water. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need, yet uncluttered. It's exactly as pictured. Caldbeck is a short drive away, with a pub and two cafes, all with great food (the Muddy Duck is restaurant standard at cafe prices). Both cafes are dog friendly outside only. Deborah was a great host, gave great recommendations for different walks. My dog and I can't wait to go back!
