Have stayed in Southerness many times but this is the first time staying in an airbnb and won't be the last. Lovely property close to all amenities.

Another lovely stay for the kids and I at Susan’s place. We look forward to the sea views from the sofa as a particular highlight every time we come. I think this might have been our fourth trip!

Had a fantastic stay. Layout was thoughtfully and cleverly done, creating a really comfortable stay for 4 adults. Lovely and warm, beds incredibly comfy, luxurious reclining chairs, lovely powerful shower and lots of useful utensils in the kitchen. Outside space perfect for dogs with large and well maintained gardens, backing right onto the sandy beach which is walk-able even during high-tide. As to Linda and Paul, they couldn't have been more welcoming, clearly they really cared about their guests. I would recommend taking advantage of Linda's knowledge and experience and do a glass workshop (takes a couple of hours). great fun and you come away with a lovely souvenir of your holiday. We would definitely visit again, particularly in the summer when you could take full advantage of the outside area.

We’ve have stayed at the cottage a number of times now and we love it. It’s a fantastic location and beautiful surrounding. What’s better than to open the curtains in the morning to see Hare running around or step into the conservatory and view the sunrise and the amazing sea view. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday off the grid! Rosie the dog, also gives it five barks!

Superb accommodation and facilities with stunning sea views. A particular favourite was the wood burning stove with plentiful supply of logs for a stormy and cold night. A dram, sea views and flames of the stove for a pefect end to the day. Thank you.

Great location to explore the area from - we barely had to use the car as there was plenty to explore on our doorstep. The house was roomy and had incredible views! It was very warm and had everything we needed. It could definitely do with a deep clean but was clean enough for a short stay. Other than that we had a great stay!

Can't recommend enough!!! Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The cottage was well-equipped and in a beautiful location. We saw some stunning sunsets during the week away, and it was a short drive/walk into Port William to stroll along the beaches. The furniture was very comfortable and perfect for lounging when the weather was against us (only one day of the trip, so not bad going at all!) Rose was lovely, gave us some local recommendations and was always quick to reply to any queries.

The airbnb was spotless and as advertised! Plenty of towels for guests and a tonne of space in the living area, bedrooms and kitchen. Easily fit 4 cars on the car. The host Jaz was really friendly and very responsive and made sure we were welcome and gave very clear and easy instructions to follow.

Nice vintage feeling. Loved the fire place. Heritage centre was good. Nice and quiet. Everything was working fine etc.

Was an ideal home away from home. Location is quiet and private with the added convenience of an excellent parking space. Rooms were smart and modern with all comforts and requirements catered for. Overall a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Stuart is a great host and the accommodation is lovely. He is very helpful and friendly. Great experience.

Our Christmas holidays stay was great, the house is large, clean and very comfortable. The living room with a fireplace and pool table means you won't be bored even on wet, winter days. On the day of arrival, there was also a tasty surprise waiting for us with local delicacies, and there are lots of beautiful places to see around. Thanks for a lovely stay !

We spent very cosy five days in Linda’s place over Christmas. Linda was very responsive and helpful, and arranged an early check-in for us. We really appreciated the attention to the detail, all the necessary small things in the kitchen, Christmas decorations and even turkey tray, as well as a lovely tea to welcome us. The annex is very cosy, warm, tranquil, with lovely view over the hills and just ideal to come back to after cold winter walks in Galloway forest. Really enjoyed our stay - many thanks, Linda!

Great place. Would definitely recommend. Great local and quiet overlooking the loch. Everything that you needed was there including a bonus breakfast selection. Host was responsive and helpful. Would love to stay again
