Wow. We stayed here for 3 nights as a family and it was fabulous from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings, the home was pristine and the hot tub was a lovely touch. The hosts were excellent, hot tub checked every morning and Elaine greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the home. She was only a text/phone call away if we needed any local recommendations etc. We didn’t go out much as we wanted to enjoy a relaxing holiday at home, but there are pubs/supermarkets a short drive away (around 5-10 mins). The beds are VERY comfortable! We found everything we needed facility wise was available and the lovely hamper when we arrived was a nice treat! There is plenty of parking available at the property so this wasn’t an issue either as this is always something I look for when I go away. We are already planning to come back in the summer as we were so pleased with it. Thank you again for a lovely stay! :)

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Jade was the perfect hostess and really helpful. Kitchen is an amazing social space and all rooms are spacious and clean. Had a fantastic Christmas here with 5 other adults and a dog. Would definitely go back.

We stayed with family for a special birthday. Margaret was very friendly and quick to respond to our messages before and during our stay. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Bed linen was very clean. Whole house was immaculate. Hot tub was great. The parking was a bit of a squeeze due to the other house but we made it work. The cottage is in the middle of nowhere which is great for a relaxing weekend which is exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be booking again, thank you for the sweet goodies. I would highly recommend this stay if you’re looking for a relaxing, chilled time.

Great house for our family Christmas, really spacious for the 7 of us, has everything you need , Craig is a great host very friendly and quickly responded to any messages, was the perfect house for what we needed.

We had a great time staying. Carolines house is lovely and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Throughout our stay there was a problem with hot tub which was out of Caroline's hands but she made sure to compensate with a meal on her which was very much appreciated. Lots of lovely little touches and gifts around the house. Would definitely come back and see this place in the warmer weather thanks for having us.

We had an amazing time in the cottage and felt right at home it was lovely and modern and the hot tub was perfect for a peaceful time away.Dougie and Lea were so friendly when we arrived and couldn’t have been more helpful.Would definitely visit again!

This house was a perfect, restful home for the long weekend for me and my friends! After long days out walking, the kitchen and living room space were spacious and cosy, perfect to unwind whilst being a great social space. The rooms were all spotless and very tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfy and the black out blinds were a bonus! The garden and hot tub was the icing on the cake. We would definitely come back!

Fab location for walking and climbing. Pet friendly and exactly what we hoped it would be. Can’t wait to come back!! Five stars *****

A wonderful place to stay had everything we needed and more excellent peaceful location but with local amenities within a short drive just what we needed to shut off for a few days will definitely recommend to friends and family and hope to return again ourselves

Our group had the most relaxing stay at this beautiful cabin nestled amongst the trees overlooking the river (which you can hear rushing by whilst lying in bed - bliss!) The cabin itself was well-equipped, with excellent cooking facilities, and a big TV for cozy evenings in front of the fire. We loved the selection of books left in each room and the the welcome pack full of treats! The bedding is also extremely comfy. The owner was incredibly friendly, stopping by with his dogs and making us feel very welcome. We visited in February and stayed toasty warm thanks to the log fire and the hot tub, and we’re already thinking of coming back in the summer to be able to enjoy the outdoor facilities too. Highly recommend this peaceful escape for anyone looking to reconnect with nature with a group of family/friends. Can't wait to return.

Gorgeous cabin in a lovely location. The view was exceptional. There was some work going on on neighbouring buildings that we were not warned about, but we did get a note apologising for any disturbance so thats not all bad. The welcome basket with some essentials and treats was a lovely touch. The hot tub is super cute and because its not got jacuzzi jets its actually really perfect for the setting. Sitting in such peace, under the stars like we were the only people in the world was priceless. Definitely recommend taking your own kindling, we were given logs but couldn't have started the fire for the hot tub without the kindling we took....though sure we could have bought some from the team, just easier to have your own. Overall the cabin was beautiful, everything we needed, and you can't find a more perfect setting than the glorious lake district can you?! Keswick is a 15 min drive away, Windermere about 45 mins. Would recommend.

This is the greatest place on earth. I couldn't begin to describe the level of beauty, tranquility and peace that we indulged in while at the Dark Sky Retreat. The sounds of birds, the wind rustling through the trees, the smells of the country were just the most perfect setting imagineable, and DON'T GET ME STARTED on those STARS oh my DAYS. We will be back in the summer no doubt! Emma & Rob were fantastic hosts, showing us how everything worked and always quick to respond to anything we needed, they're both wonderful individuals living an idyllic life comparable to (the only thing i could think of) a hobbit in the shire. We've came away knowing that we want to return to the life as soon as possible! Thank you so much for what you've given us just by letting us be within the space.

We found the pod immaculate, loved the little ‘touches’ of the fresh hens eggs and milk on arrival. Mark and Sarah were lovely hosts, really helpful on where to visit and lovely walks. We will be back, highly recommend if you are wanting to get away from it all and relax.

This is a stunning place with extraordinary views over the Cree estuary from the big window. Fantastic nightly sky observed from the hot tub, kindly lit by Philip. Good place to relax and get away from it all😎
